Wow ok. You REALLY need to look up the deffiniton of Parkour. Because what you described is closer to freerunning. You are still an idiot.

Ok. Well... This idiot sees a `parkour` flavor in his acrobatics. He flips off structures and along ledges much like someone doing what? PARKOUR! The title stays until I see his acrobatic act on a pummel horse.

To ManyMasks: Thank god for people who know what the hell Parkour actually is. I tip my hat to that smart young chap!

To madest: You sir, are an idiot. I just mentioned a better name for it in my last post. I believe I called it an Acrobatics display. I know it might be hard for you but next time actually try reading some ones post before before having a hissy fit.

"who else watched 5 seconds of that then skipped to the end?"

Getting to the end in the quickest way possible was very parkour of you.

@erutaron
I think you`re right. That actually almost seemed more close to what is called tricking. Mostly though, it just looked like a guy doing a bunch of flips.

I called it "parkour" deal with it. Unless you can come up with something that makes sense it`ll remain "parkour" because that`s what it looks like to me, nitpickers.

Hate to break it to you guys. Thats not Parkour, nor is it even freerunning (even though freerunning focuses more on the acrobatics of Parkour.) That is nothing more than just a plain old acrobatics display. I`m sorry for sounding like an ass, I`m just sick and tired of people labeling videos of that style of acrobatics as "Parkour" because it isn`t and I take offense when people call that stuff Parkour. Before you label things do yourself a favor and look up the actual definition of the work you are labeling it under.

I wouldn`t even consider that Parkour. All he was doing was doing flips. The only "Parkour" maneuver I say him do was a Cat. And that`s pritty much it.

Great videography btw.

Alright, while the kid`s very good at what he does (even pros mess up sometimes), this isn`t parkour. It`s freerunning. The difference being that parkour is as almightybob1 described it: getting from point A to point B in the fastest and most fluid way possible. Standalone tricks or showy demonstrations fall under freerunning.
And... I really hope that guy didn`t break his spine. That`d be a tragic end to some really good talent.
And also, I believe he was trying to do a one-and-a-half and roll out of it, so he almost made it. In the video, he never did a double flip on flat ground, because I don`t think anyone can, (please prove me wrong internets) so I don`t think that`s at what he was aiming.

I thought the point was to get from A to B in as quick and fluid a way as possible, not just do one random jump/flip/whatever.

He is really effing good, except for that one.

And I can`t believe someone is actually spamming for a website here.

Sad.

Ugh.

Believe it or not, as a parent that`s terrifying to see since I have one of those squirrelly skinny 12 yrold boys who loves jumping off the swings and doing flips in the air >_<

Less of a faceplant and more of a headplant.

As in, trying to plant his head.
