So...I`ve noticed a lot of Republicans call the "other side" names like Communist and Facist and anything else they can thing up. Now let us do a little thinking, shall we? A communist government (a traditional one, not the ones that border on Facist) IS to the far left...but not Facist. Facism is NOT on the left side of the spectrum. In fact, ladies and gentleman it is on the far right.

Facism

Go ahead and whine about the site given...but remember to take a gander at the resources. You`re welcome. :3

@SephirothA83- Yes that is pretty much it.

But you forgot that if you are a Rep "the stupid Independents just handed the election to the Dems by splitting the vote!"

And if you are a Dem "the stupid Independents just handed the election to the Reps by splitting the vote!"

All I got from these posts is that the conservatives haven`t done anything wrong, anytime someone goes after them for something they have done wrong, its those damn liberals. Liberals have done everything wrong, and all left wingers are terrorists, if someone goes after them they play the race card, regardless if it applies. That sound about right?

Just wanted to make sure I was still needing to take some crazy pills to keep up with this nonsense.

What college did Beck go to CJ?

@ JeffBeau, You`re right Limbaughs crime was something that shouldn`t be a crime. People should be free to put whatever they want in their bodies. But here`s what we know: Mr. Limbaugh’s housekeeper, Wilma Cline, told authorities and the media to reveal that she had acted as Rush Limbaugh’s drug buyer for years. Purchasing "more than 30,000 Hydrocodone, Lorcet and OcyContin pills" and she reports he "took as many as 30 OxyContin pills a day." Florida authorities investigated and found Ms. Cline’s allegations to be true. I think if it were anyone else they would have done time.

Bill O`Reilly paid Andrea Macris $10,000,000 to keep her mouth shut about his sexual harrasment.

Have you sir, ever committed a crime ? If so, By your own definition you are a criminal, No matter how long ago the crime happened or it`s circumstances. No one is `squeaky clean` madest, Obama even admitted he inhaled and said, "That was the whole point".

Neither Beck, Limbaugh, or O`Reilly, To my knowledge, Have ever been convicted of a felony among them.

@ madest: How are Limbaugh, O`Reilly, Beck, et al criminals? Other than Limbaugh`s dalliance with drugs, which over half the US population, including B. Obama have done, I`m unaware. I mean real indictable crimes, not political rhetoric.

@ Crakr - I think this is way over-played by the media. The major U.S. media houses are in New York, and contrary to what they`ve made themselves believe most of the rest of the country doesn`t even care about New York, much less think about it. The Democrats/`Liberals` will side with ANYone who opposes the so-called "Christian Right", even if that someone`s moral and political views are even farther "right" than Christian, as Islam is.

madest: Olbermann is a fraud himself, Keith didn`t go to `Ivy League` Cornell where only 1 out 5 applicants are accepted. Instead, Keith went to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell, which is a state school where 1 of every 1.01 applicants are accepted. That is a big big difference, Especially with Keith who arrogantly looks down his nose at anyone without an `Ivy League` education, Which he himself didn`t get either.

Don`t trust this Beck. He supported the banker bail-out, he supports a vat-tax, and he likes centralized government control: electronic surveillance, forced vaccinations, and FDA control over the food supply. He`s a globalist mouthpiece in a patriot costume and he will lead people into subjugation.

Screw gold. When the gov`t calls in the gold it`ll be worthless and like Wizard said, if you`re caught with it it`ll be confiscated and you`ll be tazed and thrown in prison.

Invest in skills and supplies (including guns & ammo) that will improve your chances of survival when roving gangs go foraging. You`re also going to need to find a co-operative to join because you won`t survive alone.

Cajun247: Sharia, In the strictest of terms, is the sacred law of islam. All muslims believe sharia is Allah`s law, but they have differences among their groups with varying interpretations.

Where Iran is strict on some terms Pakistan is not and visa versa. What is common to all is that sharia law is interpreted not by secular lawyers, but by religious imams. There is no jury, No cross-examination of witnesses, No penalty for perjury, pre-trial discovery process, No appeals. It`s nothing like western law which relies on documents, forensic evidence, and `sworn in` testimony of experts and witnesses.

Oprah is not a speaker for the democrats. In fact I don`t know what her political affiliation is besides supporting Obama. Bad example CJ. Has Olbermann aligned himself with fraud? Maddow? Bill Maher? I think that`s about all the lefts talking heads.
The right talking heads are full of criminal elements. Limbaugh, O`Reilly, Beck.. Right there are 3 that come to mind in an instant. You should be able to do better than Oprah.

Then the question is what IS shariah?
Last I checked women in Iran actually hold government jobs.

I disagree, I`d say they`re very firmly ON the chart, just at the extreme end of the spectrum, and are just as I described: "right-wing nationalistic traditionalist religious conservatives".

Besides, you used e.g. Charles Manson as an example of a left-winger causing terrorism. Am I allowed to claim that he was not just off the charts, but off the f*cking planet in his sociopathic mentalry? Or do I need to hang my head in shame because Charles Manson was "one of us"?

Well first of all, I`m not a follower. As I said, I disagree on some very fundamental issues with him. But when I walked in it was about this rally being about all sorts of things other than restoring honor and promoting faith, hope and charity. It then went to his character and that all seemed to hinge on some advert for gold.

Do I think the guy is perfect? No I don`t. But I like that he is trying to do something and bringing people of different faiths and races together. I admire that he honestly seems to believe that the population needs to take responsibility for our own well being and not expect Uncle Sam to babysit our lives.

I like that he shot a thousand holes in Bush for going spend crazy and crippling our constitution with the Patriot Act. And I like that he is calling Obama out for spending like there is no tomorrow and continuing the assault on our freedoms that Bush paved the way for.

If that makes me retarded, then I guess I wish we all were.

DarthJay: When Shirley Sherrod was fired, She was told by her boss, On the phone at the side of the road, That they needed her resignation right then because her old video taped remarks were going to be shown on Glenn Beck`s show.

Instead of criticizing her Beck said she was likely being railroaded, By the Obama administration, Out of fear, Which turned out to be true.

Sherrod`s remarks turned out to be a `turning point` story that was taken out of context. The NAACP, Which owned the video footage, Initially condemned her then later tried to spin it as if they were `tricked`.

That`s one good example of Beck NOT being a reactionary and Not jumping to conclusions.

@CJ- Well I didn`t say it was worthless in a depression. I think it is but I didn`t come right out and say so. If you are starving, do you want to be the guy with food or the guy with gold. If food is scarce, do you want to sell it for gold?

If you are in danger (like say a depression causes police to be hard pressed to do anything let alone come to your house) do you want a way to keep your home and family safe, or some gold to offer the intruders so they will leave you alone? Even in the best of times-when seconds count, the police are just minutes away.

But that is just my point of view. If I was the norm, gold wouldnt be going through the roof.

Well I`m not the sort of guy who spends his money on gold coins for insurance against a depression. You cant eat it and you cant defend your food or family with it.

But the last time our nation was in this sort of financial trouble, it crashed. Gold was confiscated and keeping it got you sent to prison. UNLESS it was an antique. So I see where he is going with that.

I read allot about the economy and one sure way to make government bonds have value is by having gold to back them up. It wouldn`t be the first time this government stepped in and demanded the surrender of gold owned by private citizens. And we were certainly not the first country to do it. With the shape our dollar is in, its not all that far-out a concept.

Although I personally don`t think gold is the best thing in a serious crash, I think a serious crash is a legitimate concern.

I would consider myself to be on the right, but I am not a Glenn Beck fan. I think he has a terrible tendancy to react to things without doing any fact checking first - and, frankly, makes a lot of us on the right look bad.

As far as the tea party and the right being racist...that`s just crazy talk. We have yet to have any documented proof of racism at any tea party rallies. And if you find one or two people, then it`s hardly fair to say that a few wierdos speak for the majority.

"A top notch organization thats been around since 1960"

"The people I trust are at Goldline"

The original accusation was that he was fear mongering and selling his soul for some gold company. Once that didn`t work it has turned into ANY advertising is a character flaw.

Now its come to a 2 inch thumbnail photo on the border of a full page add is evidence of treachery to the public.

It`s probably because its a slimy product to `sell` anyways.

It`s not much different than those radio ads that tell you to buy these super rare coins that were never in circulation except for now.

My point boils down to, know what you`re endorsing. Even after the allegations and lawsuits Beck is defending them, so if that doesn`t show what his stance is, whether or not he`s getting paid, that`s all part of his character.

It amazes me when I seen intelligent people think he is this great spokesman. I can understand being right-wing, I cannot understand how anyone sees him (or Palin and Limbaugh) as credible. It doesn`t matter if someone agrees with your politics, if they are a hypocrite, they should be called out.

Glenn Beck`s Restoring Honro Rally honored all Americans. Those who wont see that dishonor themselves. It is very difficult to imagine that Dr Martin Luther King himself would not have been proud of the crowd that attended. Did not Glenn Beck quote him directly? Paraphrasing, that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Honestly, as another man, whom I have come to admire, Dennis Prager (gasp...a Jew) has said many times… The world is truly upside down. Those accused of racism and evil are the good guys – and those who constantly scream racism often are the racists and true villians.

CJ, Why can`t you find someone respectable to follow? Glenn Beck is nothing more than a modern day snake oil salesman. You block out this guys racism completely. You discout the fact that he`s a liar. Dude is an evangelical mormon?!? He`s a shill for the teaparty, he`s a spokesperson for a gold buying firm that`s under investigation for fraud... Why? What is it about him that you find so appealing? He`s a dirtbag not worthy of anyones admiration. There has to be a republican that`s worthy of your ass kissing.

I find it quite interesting how one "pasty white fat man" can so intimidate people and large orgnanizations that its sends them into such a frenzy.

But then again if the Unions, liberals and the NAACP weren`t so lost and corrupt; The 500k crowd that showed up, (because they believed in Restoring Honor) would not have bothered them.

This is easily the most inane comment I think I`ve read from this post. what `side` he resides on has absolutely nothing to do with his actions. There are plenty of people on both sides that have done things like this in the past. Modern politics is even further in the gutter because of people like you that make everything about a person`s political stance.

Glen never said that someone who believes him is a fool. He said that people should check anything they are told, even what he tells them. He`s repeatedly asked for people to prove him wrong.

Do you want me to pull out some quotes of Obama`s, That were out of context ? Because there are some real doozies of his that look stupid.

I honestly don`t have an affiliation. I rarely stand up for any one party, only because I can`t find anyone consistantly in a party that I want to support, and I believe it`s wrong to vote just for "the lesser of two evils" so sometimes I will not vote at all. I just believe in common-sense politics for the most part. All sides working together, co-operating, and coming to a decision that works for the most people. From what I`ve witnessed of American politics it is NOT like that. (I do have an American fiance so I`m not ignorant of the happenings in American politics, though admittedly I hear most of it from his point of view which is Conservative but NOT Republican). I`m Canadian so our politics is not as polarized as American politics, plus we have more than just two parties, and our political system is completely different. So this works for me. Glenn Beck`s crazy eyes scare me. Because there`s no room for what I said above, and people actually accept what he`s prea

And honestly, I have nightmares where he`s living under my bed lol. Such a creeper Beck!

First of all there is no win. No WMDs, no ties to 9/11. Sure we killed their leader but he was the only person making those religious sects get along. They lost 100k innocents and 8 hrs a day of electricity. We lost 4,500 soldiers a trillion dollars and our dignity and honor (abu gharib). Your party is welcome to claim the "credit" if thats what you want to call it.

I watched Beck rip on GW Bush and other republicans as well. I think you believe it`s all one huge conspiracy, As Hillary Clinton once claimed. There are damn good reasons why Obama is to blame for the high unemployment, bad economy, and huge deficits.

Obama tried to take full credit for the `Win` in Iraq the other night, Even though he voted against the war, Voted against the surge, And ridiculed the strategy as `a waste of time`, Now he takes credit for it like it was all his idea in the first place. Hypocrisy at it`s finest.

CJ, You`re right. Beck advertised this event as non political but you`re ignoring the bigger picture. He works on what is considered the GOPs TV station. Between that and his radio show he`s called the president Marxist, socialist and racist. He uses his shows to promote teaparty rallies and has become as involved with the tea party as Sarah Palin. He`s part of the problem CJ. He`s bad for America. He`s got the people who didn`t vote for Obama in the first place worked up into a lather. They blame Obama for high unemployment, they think Obamas out to take their guns, they don`t believe he was born here, they think he`s a Muslim, they`ve called him everything but the N-word in public. These are the dregs of society and they call themselves teabaggers.
Who`s to say why he scheduled his rally on the anniversary of MLKs I have a dream speech 2 steps away from where King gave it. But I don`t suspect it was an accident. He`s a recorded liar. Don`t make me get the proof.

It also shows there what was and was not allowed by the National park service, Below that is what the Rally planners asked that people not bring. Notice that the park service did not ban signs. Further more, The tea party logo was nowhere in sight on stage or on the grounds themselves.

So keep calling it a `tea party` event if you like, Even though it wasn`t . At the very least, It`s finally got you to stop calling them `teabaggers`.

Always funny to me whenever you hear someone accuse someone of "drinking the kool-aid" they`re usually just drinking a different flavor themselves. Including Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck certainly says and does a lot of things to be sensational and I think it`s given a lot of people the wrong idea about what his message is.
I bet the vast majority of people who hate Glenn Beck have no clue what his message actually is. They simply hate him because that`s what their "team" has taught them to do. That`s the very definition of "drinking the kool-aid": when you have an opinion but you have no idea why - because someone else told you to think it.

This rally was advertised as a teaparty event. All the tea party heads were there including their queen Sarah Palin. I seriously doubt people would have travelled across the country to hear Glenn Beck evangelize. Even Beck himself said he had planned on talking politics but "something came over him". There were no signs. It was a Saturday not a Sunday so that might explain why people weren`t wearing their Sunday best.

it`s referring to subway lines in DC (the metro), I forgot where they go exactly but somewhere around the capital. Also that "walk on the left, stand on the right" sign refers to when your going underground to the metro on the escalator, if you`re just going to stand there and ride all the way down, stay on the right or the people rushing will push you out of the way.
