Is it just me or do some ads seem to slow down I-A-B to the point that it takes 30 seconds to go from one link to the next?

I`m not having this problem anywhere else, but the status bar always seems to stop while loading "googleads.com" or something.

I don`t think the mention of brown sugar is racist, but it is a little sinister to see the high calorie cereal apparently marketed towards black people.

Wow, we all know its not acutally racist. Its meant to be funny. Laugh or move along, we dont need a speech about "real racism" or "Why is this racist" rants.

How is it racist? Are you suggesting people of colour can never appear on product packaging unless there is a race agenda? Maybe those kids were chosen because they were cute with no consideration positive or negative given to their race.

Well, if Life Cereal were really racists, they`d have little Spanish children on the Cinnamon box. The plain flavour would be white kids. O_o

This simply is a question of color. They didn`t want too much contrast so they used darker skinned people on the darker box and lighter skinned people on the lighter box.

If they replaced the quaker with Uncle Ben or Aunt Jemimah, THAT would be racist, oh and change the slogan from "Mikey likes it" to "Wooo boy, dem
Surreels sure be tastin` good".

The fad of comparing everything that has to do with a Black person is racist is starting to remind me of the current phobia of Muslims which ALSo reminds me of the 50`s commy phobias

So... if a bag of corn pops has 2 white children on it, is that still racist? I don`t think people see it that way.

...why is it that it`s ONLY racism if it has to do with blacks? How come if I say "it was a black girl/boy" it`s racist but if a black person says "it was that white girl" it`s just describing color?

<cont from last post>

And its not because the world is any less safe... Its because people THINK it is... If we went back to the old mindsets that we as a society had during the 40s and 50s, the world would be a better place. Its this overprotection of children and fear of whats out there that is breeding a society of lazy children who as soon grow up to be weak and lazy members of the work force... I`m not saying it would be a perfect world, but it would FEEL a lot better.

"And this eccentric thought process is what the US have been doing for years now, leading to child over safety, overly political correctness and bastardization of language.

I think the world needs to be a lot less PC and a whole lot more straight forward. "

Seriously, if I had a dime for every time I`ve said these exact statements in conversation, I`d be a very rich man... Society has just become way too sensitive and way too paranoid.

The world hasn`t gotten worse, people... Society`s perception of it has. There are no more pedophiles and racists out there than there were 50 years ago. Only NOW, thanks to the media drawing attention to them, we`ve become scared and overly sensitive little sheep.

My mother used to tell me about the days when she was a kid, having run of the town until the street lights came on. Today, parents are afraid to let their kids out of the houses, let alone their neighborhoods.

"No it is racist...but every person has a racist side and those who don`t admit it are just scared of being judged by other ppl!"

Not true. The box design is not racist at all. If you over think everything, almost anything can be twisted and turned into something it was not meant to be. And this eccentric thought process is what the US have been doing for years now, leading to child over safety, overly political correctness and bastardization of language.

I think the world needs to be a lot less PC and a whole lot more straight forward.

I`m not racist, but I do make racist jokes around my also non-racist friends who in turn laugh at them. I get angry at racism, homophobia and religious intolerance (esp. Catholics VS Gays and Lesbians). Point is, because something looks racist to you doesn`t mean it is racist....

So they had a brown background on a box for brown sugar, and decided to go with a complimentary color scheme. That`s racist how? I mean, if it said "whites only" I would understand the racism.

before you all start actually believing anything fancylad posts.

you can buy each flavor of life cereal with different pictures on them.

so you can get the brown sugar one with the white kids, with the black dad and kid, and the rest.

try again fancylad

In defense of the box designers, its more appealing to the eye to stick with a single color scheme... Having black children on a lighter box, surrounded by light colors, just looks tacky... Its not racist, its good marketing...

LOL, I`ve seen the cinnamon Life, but the box I saw had a black dad and daughter on it. Right next to it was the regular flavor in the white box with white children on it. This is what happens when you let the graphic designers have free reign!
