I`m glad when Arsenal said they were banned at their matches, means I don`t have to hear them! I don`t think many people would use them anyway, fans in England just mostly sing.

We have been using Vuvuzuela like horns since forever in here, we dont play it all the time like in Africa, just in the key moments.

And what if they don`t know an emergency is happening?

The Aresonals are the only ones that told the truth. All the other clubs cited "safety concerns" because of sound levels for emergency situations. SHUT THE F UP! When emergencies happen, people will *GASP* stop blowing the horn! And everyone will hear the PA system. At least own up to the fact that you don`t want those damn things in your stadiums drowning out your home teams chants and songs!

Is that so hard!

Now we don`t have to listen to self-righteous white people talk about how they`re supporting an African tradition anymore.

I have no idea why anyone would even want to bring them back.

A good atmosphere at a football game comes from the crowd singing, not from mindless noise. Vuvuzuelas actively prevent that, because you can`t start a song when nobody can hear you singing. Volume =/= atmosphere.

Anyone want to guess the #1 reason why soccer won`t catch on in the US after this year`s World Cup?

Here`s a hint: It starts with the letter V and ends in uvuzela. Why do soccer fans have to be so annoying? :)
You wouldn`t be able to hear poo over the loudspeakers with 20 of those things going full-blast within 10 feet of you.
Yeah. It`s like using your cell phone in a movie theater. People paid money to be there and watch that game. They`d like to actually be able to hear and enjoy it, thanks.

It`s a pretty good reason, really. You wouldn`t be able to hear poo over the loudspeakers with 20 of those things going full-blast within 10 feet of you.

Is it hurting anyone? No. Banning things that have no reason to be banned is just an obvious sign of a power play. People should have the right to do what they want in their lives, without some false authority telling you what you can and can not do.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Do you realise one single vuvuzela produces a loudness of 127dB?!
Look up loudness chart in google and you`ll find an interesting list.
And here is also what it says:

Sandblasting, Loud Rock Concert: 115dB
Pain begins: 125dB

Are you starting to get it now?
