seriously, how do we even know she wasn`t doing her job in that building. There`s nothing to suggest otherwise except for a note by the person taking the video who has an obvious agenda.

The audio was terrible.

But I lol`d at him calling that woman a succubus.

If she were a cop instead of a traffic officer, I`d say that she deserves some perks for risking her life and that if it`s her being able to park wherever she likes so be it. I think I chuckled more than anything because of the irony of a traffic enforcement officer disobeying a parking sign.

Vajenga, what you described is precisely what I would call a cop. Also, New York doesn`t have a "Department of Revenue," so I don`t know what you`re talking about.

Make no mistake, these fat useless imbeciles ARE NOT COPS!!! They work for the department of revenue and the only reason they have NYPD on their uniforms and cars is to make people think twice about beating the crap out of `em. They are self entitled douchebags that break the very laws they are charged with enforcing and yet even if you are sitting in your car and fully capable of moving it they will waddle up and scan your registration sticker, often fining you rediculous amounts of money (300$)for violations that really could be resolved with a warning. (yeah, im less than 5` from a fire hydrant but the car is running and I`m able to move it if a fire happens to break out. Isn`t it better than double parking and blocking traffic?) Some would argue that they are "just doing their job" but their job is just about making money for the city at the expence of hardworking people. In NYC the signage is purposely confusing just to generate revenue. GIVE THESE PARASITES HELL!

Oh I see, 2007. Try videotaping a police officer in public now and you`ll be immediately tased, body-slammed to the ground by 3 or 4 burr-headed, testosterone-jacked cops, and hauled off to jail.

USA! USA! USA!

Also, while we`re regurgitating old stories and extrapolating single events to mean what we want, Policemen are awesome. They all write themselves tickets, and care about schoolchildren crossing the road.

Erm, yeah ok, breaking the law as a job perk is wrong.

Like when I was in Investments, perks would be insider trading. Don`t do that.

I now run the IT department. My perks are now that I got to unblock facebook for all our users, and I can access IAB`s admin console. Something I couldn`t do when I didn`t have access to all our systems.

Nothing illegal, or wrong there in any way. Still a perk.

If she is doing her duties then it`s fine. Running personal errands is not fine, and it takes the piss that the public tax dollar / pound is paying for her to do stuff she should do in her own time. I agree that hypocrites need to be put in their places.

I don`t hate traffic wardens, I hate hypocrites. And people who abuse their power, thinking that being a traffic warden/cop puts them above the law.

Can`t speak to everywhere else, but for the sake of argument, here in Fl: Police can disregard parking and directional road signs, as well as speed limits AS LONG they are using their lights and sirens. Although they do have to SLOW at intersections to make sure it is clear. If they are responding to an emergency, they CAN use a fire lane. That being said, unless it were a medical issue, almost any emergency at a bank would require a cop to park several blocks away.

Thanks, I`m aware of what unmanned drones are.
The predator and reaper?
Used for reconnaissance and equipped with hellfire missiles?

Why do people hate traffic cops / wardens so much? They can only ticket you if you break the rules. Pay for your parking and move your car before the meter runs out. Only park in legal spots. They are then powerless to bother you. Simple.

It would be perfectly alright if the officer were DOING HER JOB, but as the video pointed out, she was not. Instead, she abused her power in order to complete some personal tasks that were in no way work related. And the fact that she would punish those who would do the same is hypocritical. But though this was wrong for her to do, it was not an egregious act.

Volsunga: She wasn`t doing her job, She was on the clock doing business at her bank. No one is above the law. Sure law enforcement officers have to occasionally break laws in the pursuit of criminals, But that does not give them Carte-Blanche (Free Run).

what a dumb*ss. when it comes to traffic violations, yes, law enforcement officers are above the law. why do you think they have the magic IR signals that change traffic lights but you and I can`t have them?
Those "Don`t park here EVER!!" signs are specifically for the purpose of allowing law enforcement and emergency services a place to park to do their job.

"You know nwhat, I could care less. Everyone does poo like this at their job. Whatever your perk is, we all know you do it."

First off, I think you mean to say that you "couldn`t care less". Saying I "could care less" means that you do actually care.

Secondly, not everyone does this type of stuff at their job. And to assume that everyone does means that you probably do and you project your own faults onto others in order to legitimize your own illegal actions. That`s just jacked up.

I build unmanned spy planes for a living. If I were to use my job to break the law, it would more than likely be considered a matter of national deffense, therefore, I don`t use my job to break the law.

ya know your all missing something important.

while this traffic cop is doing her personal errands on the job, someones car is getting away with poo that she would normally be busting.
heck if you had any sense you`d be taking her for a coffee while your car is parked on the curb and send your mate off to sort it out

@Dioxin someone has a job, wants to run a personal errand on the job i`ll cut them slack for that. We all do stuff like that. But traffic enforcement can be massive dratting non-nice individuals. Watching over your car waiting for the last minute to run out . Towing your car quickly. So to do something which her job in out all day to stop (and if she`d been driving past she`d have ticketed and towed the car) is an insult.

Especially when vast amount of parking restrictions are money spinners which people don`t ask or want.

Police officers that abuse their position like this need to be reprimanded, Possibly fired.

What makes this particularly egregious is the fact she`s a traffic enforcement officer, Which means she would ticket and probably tow a citizens car for parking the way she did.

If I based my judgement of the police on Internet clips, I`d hate them all; however, I`ve had many of them as friends and neighbors and I have yet to meet a single one that acts like the non-nice individuals we see on youtube or goes on powertrips and regards themselves above the law. Point is, keep it in perspective - the non-nice individual make youtube. The good ones don`t.

"Way to get your facts from the internet."

wat? I didn`t see anything he said under the wikipedia article for Law Enforcement Officers. The fact of the matter is that cops are still normal people with badges. Years of training isn`t going to suddenly erase normal human tendencies, as countless news articles, videos, and run-ins in person have shown. Not all cops are bad; not all cops are good. ElDavo admitted it was a generalization, and it was. I know a few cops in person and one in particular who`s both a cop and a reserve soldier never puts himself above the law, and he puts the welfare of the citizens he needs to keep an eye on above the law. Of course, I`ve seen a few non-nice individual cops breaking the law on purpose myself, so it just depends on who it is.

Wouldn`t it have been easier to call a tow truck and get the car towed. Even though its a police vehicle it still needs to abide by the laws in place and without proper authorization the car should be towed. Oh well, they think they are special...least in my city no one pays attention to parking violations, they aren`t enforced and no one really cares.

"The fact that these videos appear so much shows..."

There are 800`000 police of varying types in the USA.

That`s larger than the population of San Francisco.

Now, how many (America only remember) cops are in your youtube videos?

This is nothing new. Police are non-nice individuals, they get the badge and decide they are above the law. I know it`s a generalization, but the fact that videos like this appear so much does nothing to dissuade it

cops get away with everything...like that one who killed that little girl?

-talking on cell phone with his recent ex
-drunk driving
-doing 45 in a 25 mph zone
-no sirens or lights

after he ran her over he didnt get out to check on the girl he got out to try and hide the recently emptied beer bottles that were in his cop car...there were witnesses but eh...he was a cop. frankly im surprised this guy didnt get shot by the traffic cop for pointing out her flaws or calling her a succubus...
