Whoever made this proved they were one of the old guys by making 3D tetris, which, lets face it we could all understand and play immediately.

Speaking about "current" old folks, I grew up with the very first computers when I was a teen, nd most of us from my generation kept up with tech ever since. First home computers had no OS, you had to program it just to use it. Things are getting exponentially easier, and have been ever since. green_batman and Jeffbeau are dead right.

It`s not that old people can`t adapt to new technology, they just don`t give a crap about it. The cartoon comment is stereotypical old-fartism for "you kids are lazy, stupid, and soft".

Now, what do I have do to make this comment show up on the website?

I don`t think the current generation of old folks` technological incapability will be analogous to our own. They didn`t grow up with computers. We did. We will be able to adapt to new technology much more easily than they. And the fact that many of them are able to use computers just shows that it won`t be that big a problem to adapt.

I worry about this. :-/ Although tbh, I`m not completely tech-savvy right now. I know next to nothing about iTunes and I have no idea how to work an iPod. I`m good on everything else. :-)

@asnodeus- "it`s not gonna change"

Did we have iPhones in 2000? Did we have MacBooks in 1990? Did they play tetris in the 1950s? Things are always going to change.

I hope not. Considering I`m a Computer Science major...I would at least like to believe I would understand the technology I`m creating...

60 years maybe... 30 years and I`ll be 49, about the same age as my dad, and he`s following tech better than I am. Then again, it IS his job.

Not true. We`re living in the world of technology. It`s not gonna be new thing for us, all our lives we use it and it`s not gonna change. We`ll evolve with the tech.

@ShadowVamp

That`s terrifying, seriously. Two of my cousins can have that conversation. I just realized that right now. One of them is about the same age I was when 9/11 happened.

FSM. Today`s my birthday and I feel really, really, old now.

personally I think in 30 years everyone will be tech savvy and socially/empathetically retarded.

Just like the grandson dissing his grand-pa in the cartoon is doing.

somehow we never forgot how to use the toilet, but technology? nah, we`ll forget that.

And yet, the best piece of technology invented is the tube. Think about it, even after it was deemed obsolete by the emergence of solid state power supply, tubed amplifiers are still sold and demanded by guitarists like myself. So I`m content not being electronically retarded when I`m old, as long as i can have my tubes.

Nah, this isn`t true. Because we didn`t grow up with an understanding of "a technology." We grew up adapting constantly. And that is how we will live the rest of our lives, being able to adapt to any technology.

According to the average teenage American`s diet, we`ll live till age 55 and die from kidney stones or something. So, yeah, we`ll still be up to speed with this poo.

I have 3d tetris on my droid, you look at it from top down and the layers are colored differently for extra help. You can play it on hardmode with random oblong shapes, it`s pretty awesome.

Only thing I`m looking forward to about old age is it being socially acceptable for me to be a bitter non-nice individual. And my constant confusion over tech will be expected.

Less likely than we think. Our generations have become exponentially capable of learning and retaining modern technology. Look at how technology has advanced. From 1800-1900, man still had animal powered vehicles, and hardly any antiseptics. From 1900-2000, technology has expanded, by squaring itself every ten years essentially, into what we have today.

I was trying to get onto the Internet at work a few weeks ago. It was ridiculously slow and I was trying to get to our website for a client, so I opened the cabinet holding the computer to see if I needed to reboot the router. What did I hear? The sound of a dial-up connection. Now, I`m only 18 but hearing that awful screech from the past made me feel really old. I later talked to my boss about a possible upgrade to cable internet.

Well, we can`t really say that for sure. In my parents lifetime they have yet to be `baffled` by technology. My grandparents however, cannot understand how to use Windows. I think the rate at which technology has advanced has been a lot higher in past years than it currently is.
