I have nightmares about things like this! Being in a restroom with no stalls or there are stalls but there are three toilets in each or the stalls are hardly stalls at all.

That`s nothing. I walked into a public restroom in the National Theatre once and smack in the middle of the room was a public BATH.

I am not making this up. I walked in and there was a bathtub, free for anyone to use. Granted, it was mainly a restroom for actors and theatre staff (I was performing there as part of a school contest) so there were also showers and other facilities, but still, a BATHTUB?

I suppose it`s just a fancier public shower now that I think about it actually. Anyway that`s my true survivor story over.

My high school used to have a restroom where they had no doors on the stall...what was worse was that the mirrors to the sinks were posistioned to where you could see right into the stalls...every time I washed my hands I would accidentally catch the sad stare of somebody crapping.

@shizzan, you can hide your dingaling at a urinal by angling yourself or getting close to it. However there`s no hiding from the stall...

I don`t want dudes checking out my junk. I wouldn`t dream of checking out another dude`s junk. I guess I`m abnormal according to CrakrJak`s statistics. when there are no privacy barriers I take the urinal in the corner so I can angle myself away. If that`s not available, I take a stall. I`ve never seen a toilet stall like the one in the picture. If I had to take a dump, I`d leave and go somewhere else.

Hold on, I`d be very uncomfortable showing my junk to another dude, or for that matter checking out another guys junk. Sh*t, that sounds positively ga...

Ahhhh, I think I see what`s happening here. I get it now. This explains everything, including the rampant, blatant homophobia. I understand. You`re a right-wing conservative Christian, can`t be easy admitting these feelings to yourself and family. Shhh, Crakr, your secret`s safe with me.

Also, I`ve found the term `homophobia` rather stupid.

Phobia means `Fear Of` and I`m not afraid of other guys whether they be straight or gay. I just think the sexual acts they do are disgusting and prefer to not see or hear it. That`s not fear, That`s preference and they are two different things.

Shhh, Crakr, it`s OK. Fear is only one step away from being threatened. I know you`re OK. You just need to be held... Shhh, shhh, it`s OK Crakr, the bad man is gone now. He`s gone. Let it all out son, let it all out. Being gay is an addiction. That`s all. Like drugs or alcohol. We don`t love you any less. You can be cured of this. We`ll get through this. Shhh, just hug me now, let out the tears. Shhhh, that`s alright.

Yeah Crakr, I know you`re not gay. I still keed, but this time with a bit of mirror held up against yourself. If you have any respect for me at all, take a minute to consider how gay people might see your rhetoric. If I was gay, I`d find it very f*cking offensive.

Crackr: Girls can be naked together and be fine with it (There are women`s showers too at the gym and such). However, going to the bathroom is considered a personal thing for both sexes, so we all try to make it as private as possible. When women go to the bathroom, they have to pull their pants down/hike up their skirts to go either way, men just have to unzip to pee, so women in comparison need much more privacy to pee than a man does. I don`t think it has much to do with women being taught to be shy. I think if men had to pull down their pants in order to pee, they would have only closed stalls too.

And now that I have over-analyzed this, lol...

Well since everyones on about it I may as well have my two cent/pence/yen/drachma

You know, not all gay men/women are seedy creeps lurking `round public toilets waiting to commit carnal acts with each other. Besides, its not theyre choice who their heart chooses to love.
Also, isn`t the root of most religions about loving eachother and showing compassion?
Besides, it`s just a picture of a gap in a stall. It`s not as if it`s a picture of zombie Hitler eating the unborn foetus of Mother Theresa!

This seems more like a failure in architecture rather than a statement on the acceptance of homosexuality. First, its none of anyone`s business whether someone is homosexual but the gay community should stop trying to push for religious marriages because it is not religiously acceptable (Although that raises some questions as to why so many priests rape little boys and not girls...I mean its wrong either way but why always boys?) Whats wrong is the federal government saying that unions are not legal because of someone`s personal sexual affiliation, there`s separation of church and state for a reason and homosexuality should federally be accepted because to define a federal union as a religious marriage is unconstitutional and therefore marriage cannot be defined in religious terms by the federal level. Whatever religion you are you better accept this as truth because otherwise your promoting the domination of your religion over all others and federally that is wrong.

(Although that raises some questions as to why so many priests rape little boys and not girls...I mean its wrong either way but why always boys?)
That is actually mostly because little girls are not readily available to catholic priests to manipulate since they are not allowed to do many duties in the catholic church. Little boys can be choir boys, ushers, alter boys ectect. It is traditionally unacceptable for a girl to even be too close to the alter in a catholic church.

davymid, I couldn`t agree more. What a terrible example, Crakr. Saying liberals would look down on a family in a trailer park is just another thing to show how close-minded you really are.

People can believe whatever they want. If you`re a Christian, or any other religion, then follow your beliefs. Just because I don`t believe, doesn`t mean that I have the right to tell you that you shouldn`t. Just like NO ONE should have the right to tell anyone who they can or cannot love or marry.

demetar: I hear hollywood liberals and comedians bad mouth `rednecks`, `trailer trash`, and `Christians` on a regular basis. Not only that, But they never get called out on their prejudice and hatred. davymid: Yet at some point in a Gay or Lesbian persons life they DO make a choice, It`s not like flipping a light switch. The choice is made slowly with hesitation and doubt, There are some that can`t decide at all and become bi-sexual.

Bi-sexual people throw a monkey wrench into the whole idea that they `are born that way`, So does the existence of people that are formerly gay/lesbian.

For every name of a supposed "hater" you give me, I can name more than two gay-hating politicians. How is it in ANY way right to have these people campaign for gay people to not have the same rights as straight people? These ideas come from a religious background. No they f*cking don`t. Look, I don`t like chocolate. It`s weird to most people, but I genuinely don`t like it. I was born not liking chocolate.

I didn`t one day realise that I needed to make a lifestyle choice, accompanied by much "hesitation and doubt" that I don`t like it. I just don`t f*cking like chocolate. I could no more make the "lifestyle choice" tomorrow, or for that matter over a period of time, that I actually DO like chocolate, because I f*cking don`t. It`s simple.

Exact same way as you and I don`t get off on watching porn movies of gay blowjobs. I like female tits and ass, same as you. It`s not a lifestyle choice, it`s a way of f*cking being. If someone next to me gets off on whatever, and the recipient is willing and legal, then who the f*ck are you or I to tell them they can`t have their f*cking chocolate? Is it hurting you? In any way?

davymid: Thing is davy, You actually tasted chocolate and made the decision you didn`t like it because of how it tasted.

Now I know there are parents that force their kids to eat vegetables, That the kids don`t like, And many eventually overcome their initial distaste and learn to like them instead.

This happened to me with carrots, My mom could`ve gave up and never served me carrots again but she didn`t. It was still MY decision to make though.

Even if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

It`s Ok CJ, We still love you. Go tell your parents that you love carrots. Then tell your boss and your co-workers that you`re a carrot lover. Explain your love of carrots to your friends. Perhaps you`ll determine who your true friends really are. You`re going to have to change your affiliation now because you know republicans hate carrots. But your carrot love is constitutionally protected and I`ll personally fight for your right to be a carrot lover.

Uhmmm, I believe you are being disingenuous. Ever hear of Log Cabin Republicans ?

Plus you`re talking about even more choices to be made.

    @CrakrJak.

"davymid: Thing is davy, You actually tasted chocolate and made the decision you didn`t like it because of how it tasted."

You seriously think that`s how the human mind works? That you taste something, and then choose whether or not you`re going to love it or hate it? That, if you so wanted, you could change from hating something to loving it just because you wanted to?

There are no words sometimes for the idiocy that spills from your fingertips.

    @CrakrJak

In case you`re really, really thick; you REALISE you like/don`t like something. You don`t CHOOSE it.

You taste chocolate and discover your pre-existing like/dislike for the taste.

If you`re a man, you look at a naked man/woman, then you look down at your penis and note whether it`s pointing skyward or not. You don`t have any say in the matter. Any teenage boy who got a hardon in the classroom knows this!

If you, a man, are seriously telling me that you actively choose what turns you on, then I am going to retort that you are not a man at all, and are instead some strange alien being who has no idea how human sexuality works.

    Firsties: restroom architecture fail.

Secondly, and I`ll paraquote for length:

    ... Everything I don`t like/understand is wrong.

I was planning on some long retort to your whole...spiel, but I decided a concise effort might work better.

CJ, as an extremely intelligent, politically centered, straight 28 year old man born and raised in a mainly-Christian atmosphere, I have some words of wisdom.

Stop. We get it. You think you`re right. Problem is, when did bigotry and utter lack of tolerance, understanding, and good old fashioned "stay out of business that doesn`t pertain to me"-ism really do any good? Because basically you`re a 7 year old child covering your ears and going LA LA LA LA I CAN`T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA!

Now, I understand you might think to yourself, "Why, that guy is only 28! Why should I listen to him?!"

Simple. I was smarter than you when I was 8. I have the papers to prove it. T

    Trust me on this.

P.S. Reformed homosexuals? Lulz. Believe me, that`s a lie.

P.P.S. IAB current/max characters lies. That was exactly 1000 characters and it cut that off. Oh well, concise retort became 2 poster.
