"Ansatt" means "employee". It`s simply employee nr 20.

kewlbetti: No, idiot. Obviously the currency is NOT US DOLLARS. Egocentric much xD It`s in Norwegian kroners.

an Irish pub in Norway with the bill in English? I would think a `slippery nipple" would have a Norwegian counterpart but whatever.

If Ansatt means "guests" and the coversion by Raiden is correct then that is $168 per person. Still kind of a lot.

This is calculated in Swedish Kroner.
Compared to the euro, you need 10 Swedish Kroner for 1 euro. Or in dollars: 1 dollar = 7 SEK.

Do your own calculations from that. Not that expensive. -_-

if you do the calculation ....it costs 61 for a glass of JD and 66 for a pint of Guiness. Are these dollars euros or pounds????
Even still sounds like an extremely expensive place to be drinking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jimbobsthebe, I worked the price out at £2,088.61 with a pint of Guinness coming in at around £6.85. Norway`s not really a place to go out drinking but a lovely country nonetheless.

The Norwegian krone is trading at what? .16 USD?

So thier tab is like $3266, or so.

Big deal, when eight or ten of my friends get together and go out we all drp $200+ a night and we are just working stiffs....suddenly this tab is less impressive.

It`s probably in a tourist resort in norway or something, I swear wherever I go abroad on holiday theres an Irish theme pub... So if you think about it, seeing as we are all familiar with the name of these drinks in english, they will have to have them imported, which then explains why it`s so expensive.

"In any case, I have absolutely no clue why this receipt would be in English if it`s not in an English speaking country."

Are you refering to the name of the drinks? Because "Walker Black Label", for example, is called "Walker Black Label" all over the world, no matter what language they speak. "Husets rødvin", on the other hand, is rearly found anywhere else than in Norway.

5148 NOK(Norwegian Kroner)(Cost of the guiness total)/ 78(number of guiness) = 66 each

66 NOK = ~10.72 USD. So around $10.75 a Guiness.

That`s effing expensive.

DeathToLems, Norway imposes quite severe taxes on stuff like tobacco and soft drinks. Coke is really expensive in Norway. Many norwegians go to Sweden for the holiday, because they think everything`s so cheap here.

I would guess it´s in denmark, and they use danish kroner. One US dollar is 5,7 Dkr, so one pint of guiness is 11,4 dollars. Still expensive though (If they actually are in norway they use norweigian kroner, where 1 dollar is 6 Nkr, and a guiness is 10,7 dollars)
