Buffy the Vampire Slayer is more macho than the Lost Boys? Questionable.

Also, the vampire from Let The Right One In is drating legit, despite that movie being kinda dumb as a whole.

I refuse to believe that count von count is that close to twilight, just cause they never show`d him doin someone off doesn`t mean when he`s off tv he`s not invading a lonely Romanian village.

TKD,

Agreed. Most of Anne Rice`s male protagonists are subtly, if not overtly, gay. *shrugs* Methinks she`s got a gay fetish.

Dude, I really liked Interview With a Vampire, but it`s probably as gay as Twilight. I`ve seen that movie a ton of times, and I still get surprised when Antonio Banderas doesn`t kiss Brad Pitt.

Ugh. Lestat is not gay. I`m reading the vampire chronicles. I mean, I can see how people would get that, but you`ve gotta understand the time period and other factors.

@dead-groom

I love the vampire chronicles so don`t take this as me flaming you but technically they were kind of gay. The vampires from what I have read (i`ve only read 3 books so far, haven`t had time for the others) never have actual sex but many of them though not all do have a bit of an erotic bisexuality thing going on. Biting is kind of like a pleasure for them and emotionally they cling to each other as well. Louis says many times how he found Lestat to be completely gorgeous and Armand was also pretty much in love with Louis.

Edited to add: I actually just looked it up and it appears from what I have gathered Armand had sexual relations with Marius as well...so I will take that as they can indeed have sexual relations.

Interview With The Vampire is pretty much my favorite movie and one of my favorite books. Nosferatu is pretty good as well if you can deal with the whole "silent movie" thing. Also I think i`m the only chick in the world that never liked or got into Buffy.

I would have loved Let the Right One in except it was soo slow.

dead-groom, obviously you are talking about "interview with the vampire" which is terribly gay. not just the male on male biting, it is also in the dialogue between them and when they speak about each other. if you dont believe me here is a gay site telling you all about it. also, here is a non-gay site that says the same thing. oh, and this just makes me giggle a little.

HEEY YOU ARSE, (cobrakiller) do you have seen the movie? there is nothing gay on it the biting between 2 man is only to give over the vampire geen. so i think that you have a serius issue to other man, maybe gay?

Male 7,585
alright the list they have:
gayracula-never seen
Twighlight saga-not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but not good by any means.
fearless vampire killers-has not aged well
lost boys-dont care what anybody says, classic
count von count-pimpin
buffy-corny, but the hot ladies and humor made up for it
blade trilogy-badass
underworld trilogy-see blade trilogy
dracula(both actors)-still great classics
bram stokers dracula-corny with bad acting
nosferatu-the original classic (still amazing)
let the right one in-instant classic
interview with a vampire-gayer than twilight

thank you for your time

I think Lost Boys is way off. There is a gay-ish main character, but you could wear pastels in the 80s and not be gay. And, it is otherwise a very hetero movie. Remember that Michael gets tempted to join because he follows a girl.

It`s missing Castlevania, `Salem`s Lot, probably some others that I can`t think of right now...

It`s shameful that the word "vampire" now makes people think of Edward Cullen before Dracula.

I`m sorry, but underworld should be as far away from homo as one can get. There is nothing hotter than a sexy chick with guns.

Just had an awesome Idea for a movie "Laura Croft the underworld Raider".

All vampires are a metaphor for forbidden sex and therefore, all vampires are symbols for gay sexuality. Especially the macho/bad ass ones, because heterosexual men fear stronger men doing to them what het men have done to women for millenia.

And how about "Lesbian vampire killers"? Technically it should go right next to "Gayracula" which I have never seen, though given a choice I`d watch LVK again before I did see it.

And if you have trouble finding it in the states, they seem to have shortened the name to "Vampire Killers", I`m sure to avoid offending the thin skinned, but I have to think they lost a lot of revenue with that decision.

wait, i just noticed Buffy is closer to "Macho" than Lost Boys... that makes me want to kill; and Let The Right One In is the darkest one? It was a great movie, yes, but not darker than most of those. And is Count Von Count really edging towards "Homo"?

Whoa, what idiot put Lostboys there.

The same idiot that`s used the word "Macho" to describe bad-ass.

Lostboys us way more dark than Underworld and bad-ass than Buffy.

Must be some kid that missed the 80`s.
