Yeah! That`s one of my peezes!... Like when they say "coolant leak" on Star Trek but it`s really just an Anit-Matter constrictor venting.... GEEZ! That pisses me off.

this doesnt bother me as much as tarantino throwing the "N" word in so often when it is not really necessary. my buddy kareem pointed it out to me. alot of people call spike lee a racist director, but tarantino is just as much i guess.

That`s because you`re looking at in 16:9 aspect ratio. The movie was originally shot in 4:3, so when it was converted to 16:9, the square was stretched into a rectangle.

"That`s because you`re looking at in 16:9 aspect ratio. The movie was originally shot in 4:3, so when it was converted to 16:9, the square was stretched into a rectangle."

`Tis true, I saw it in it`s original format, it was a square. I think it`s just the DVD widescreen version that messes it up.

Nevertheless, Pulp Fiction is definitely my favorite movie of all time.

One of the greatest (and one of my favorite) movies of all time, and yes, it annoys the piss out of me too. Every time I watch this part I say "Don`t be a rectangle".

A rectangle is a TYPE of square. I failed geometry and even I knew that. `fraid you just failed it again, sarah. A square is a type of rectangle. Not the other way round.

All squares can be called a rectangle. Not all rectangles can be called squares. All spoons can be called utensils. Not all utensils can be called spoons. All dogs can be called animals. Not all animals can be called dogs. Red can be called a color. Not all colors can be called red. All quarters can be called coins. Not all coins can be called quarters. Earth can be called a planet. Not all planets can be called Earth. All people can be called stupid. Not all people who are called stupid are, in fact, stupid. Only the stupid ones are stupid. This is not brain surgery, only rocket science.

Another fun fact. The drug dealer was one of the surfers in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and originally played Marty in "Back to the Future" before filming was scrapped and Michael J. Fox was brought in.

Biggest Pet Peeve Of Any webpage Ever. Who else gets pissed off when the poster is annoyed by someone else not being correct while themselves are writing things like "when she does they and says"

Another thing about Tarantino`s movies.. Look for `Red Apple` cigarettes and cereal boxes that are no longer made, They are recurring things in most all of his movies.

Um technically there is no such thing as a rectangle. I don`t remember where I learned it but one of the classes I took a while back the teacher kept nagging us about saying rectangle. The lesson was basically that saying rectangle was only a way to describe verbally that 2 sides of a square were longer but that a "rectangle" and a square were one in the same. Any 4 sided object with 4 90 degree angles is a square regardless of the lengths of the sides. Go look it up on google you will find the same answer all over the place.

@Baalthazaq You missed out quaderilateral. Squares are quaderilaterals too. (It might be spelt quadrilateral, not sure whether or not the e goes in there but I think it does.)

back to school with you.

A rectangle is a parallelogram whose sides intersect at 90° angles. Now, since a rectangle is a parallelogram, its opposite sides must be congruent.

A square is also a parallelogram whose sides intersect at 90° angles. Therefore, like a rectangle its opposite sides are congruent. However, a square has an added feature. It is also a rhombus. Therefore, all of its sides are congruent.

A rectangle is a square when both pairs of opposite sides are the same length. This means that a square is a specialized case of the rectangle and is indeed a rectangle.

@Corpsecrank The phrase is "one AND the same" not "one IN the same". For information purposes only. Not a peeve of mine. Also, i`m not trying to criticize you personally. Just bored...

Anyone who is actually bothered by that should probably just avoid movies altogether. If anyone ever made a movie with absolutely no little mistakes and inconsistencies, it would probably be a boring and crappy movie.

a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square.

Anyone who is actually bothered by this post should probably just avoid IAB altogether. If anyone ever posted something with absolutely no stupidity and ridiculousness, it would probably be a boring and crappy post.

- Who else gets pissed off when she does they and says `square?` It`s a rectangle!
ps. i still love his movies.

i guess this was posted by the "how are babby made?" cavemen?

Jackrabbit Slim`s

They sat in buddy holly`s section, actor steve buscemi

does that get bonus points?

Papa tomato, mama tomato, and baby tomato are taking a walk. Baby tomato starts to drag behind, and the papa tomato comes up and squishes him.

But yes, that is quite annoying that she made a rectangle and not a square.

Lol.

Education fail.

Other way around, buddy

it`s the OTHER way around. you almost sounded smart.

`Tis true, I saw it in it`s original format, it was a square. I think it`s just the DVD widescreen version that messes it up.

Indeed. They were careful to further adjust the faces of the actors and other things so they weren`t distorted, but they missed the square.

that is incorrect, i saw this fim first on a 4:3 tv from vhs. it was a rectangle, and always has been. just tarantinos little joke.

`fraid you just failed it again, sarah. A square is a type of rectangle. Not the other way round.

hmm no wonder.

True, but the phrase is "Don`t be a square."

A rectangle isn`t a type of square.

LRN2GEOMETRY.

Also, you can think of squared off corners, meaning you have all 90 degree angles, but not necessarily a square quadrilateral.

At any rate, this is a crummy post for IAB. Boring, no context, bad grammar, etc. What movie/show is this from anyway?

A Square is a Rhombus, AND a Rectangle. Always.

Rectangles don`t need to be either squares, nor rhombuses.

Squares are types of Rectangles.

Rectangles are NOT types of squares.

Just the way dog is a "type of animal", but animal is not a "type of dog".

Basically, she`s wrong. That`s not a square.

(And it`s from Pulp Fiction, no context required)

don`t know, does get pissed when off on fiction pulp?

You sir, are an idiot

You have never seen Pulp Fiction?! That a large rock you`ve been living under.

Trolling, much?

I was too busy ENJOYING IT to notice something so stupid.
