I`m not holding out hope for anyone winning the million dollars as the person who wrote the caption clearly cannot formulate a sentence into anything resembling sense...

One million dollars if you can you can tell us what the difference is between these two TVs are.

Yeah, once you rest the rest it`s not so bad.

This sort of stuff is the same sh*t newspeople pull when they draw attention away from the rest of the facts to push their own agenda.

Thanks for supporting this type of crap, IAB...

Sorry, I`m in a slightly pissy mood...

"I think they`re saying that while men can watch it from the living room, it`s vibrant enough and loud enough that women can enjoy it in the kitchen as well. :)"
I was thinking along the lines of the 178 degree viewing angle, but LOL anyway

I havn`t read the many pages of this comment section, but if the mods or w/e they are aren`t ripping that sentence(?) apart, then I am shocked.

I reckon it`s a bad translation. It ought to say: "The number one television for men and women" - as in, both men and women rank it top of their lists of good TVs.

hmm..let take a stab.

maybe a tv so nice both men and women are going to enjoy watching thier shows on it...although from the looks of some of the comments here, i dont think some of our guys have made it past the 1940`s. they may not know what a tv is just yet. let`s get with the program..pun intended

To Angillion, while the trichromatic lesson is true it is irrelevant to what he is saying. Women generally recognize differences between shades more, this has been shown in studies and does not necessarily stem from eye capability but psychology.

Gah, cut off early as usual.

A person with tetrachromatic vision would, for example, see hundreds of colours in a rainbow. The difference is not subtle. That`s why some experts say it doesn`t happen in humans - it should be glaringly obvious and it isn`t.
women can recognise more colours than men so this TV is claiming to make it possible for both sexes to see as many colours. can i have the million dollars now?
No, for various reasons.

Most humans have trichromatic vision - they can directly see 3 colours (red, green, blue). Colour vision is made from varying strengths of those three and colour acuity stems directly from that.

Modern displays (24-bit colour or above) exceed human trochromatic colour acuity.

The average for women is higher than the average for men (note AVERAGE) because dichromatic vision ("colour blindness") is much more common in men. It`s still quite rare, though.

Tetrachromatic vision (4 colours) is possible due to mutation, but experts argue about whether it exists in humans, let alone how common it is. If it exists, it would be much more common in women, but it`s certainly not normal and should stand out a mile. You`d see hundreds of colours
Sony`s line of BRAVIA LCD HDTVs combine stunning design with cutting-edge picture and sound...
So, what it breaks down to is this:

TV for men: looks good when it`s on.

TV for women: looks good when it`s off.
lol. so you can watch the game and house wives of orange county at the same time!?!?!?! How conveniently retarded!
But technically possible. There are displays that can show two different images to different viewing angles. View from the centre-left and you see one channel, view from the centre-right and you see a different channel.

@Shaboinkin.....NICE!!!!

I woulld say the sexist part would be that as with everything else this world does, the TVs are NOT made for Herms. Why o why does the world still not recognize the exsistance of these forgotten people?

The clue is in the line following the bizarre statement.

Sony is saying that women (i.e. all women) buy a TV based only on its appearance and men (i.e. all men) buy a TV based only on its performance.

Which is a steaming blivet, like all sexist stereotyping.

I know what the difference is!!
The one on the right is small enough to fit in the kitchen and the one on the right is big enough for the man to watch while eating his sandwich!

Do I win?

So, all previous televisions were either for men only or for women only? This would imply that Sony is the first NOT sexist TV manufacturer, if it were true and made any sense at all, which it doesn`t

Men typically believe bigger=better
Women typically believe "it`s not the size of the boat, it`s the motion of the ocean"
At least, that`s what most of my friends say
