"Without heat it wouldn`t be shaped like a mushroom."

Right, but heat doesn`t automatically mean nuclear explosion.

And am I the only one who thinks if this were true we`d all die between Tuesday night (old people) and Wednesday night?

ya maybe if you stay outside all day. however if you own a house with AC or know a friend you`ll make it til Saturday

Heat is bad, wet is worse, but until you work in it you won`t understand. I`ve backpacked New Mexico during the summer and the heat still kills you once it gets 100 and up. I also work outside in Richmond this summer where it has hit 100. 92 hasn`t been bad humid or not, 98-100 always gets exhausting and worse dehydrating.

I don`t think people mean that 100 degrees is fine without humidity, it is humidity makes it much more uncomfortable.. I can handle heat for the most part, but humidity I cannot. Course that doesn`t mean I want to deal with 100 degree weather either.
Last week it was 92 here, no humidity, never put on my AC the next day it was 85 but it was humid and I had to turn on my AC.

Everyone things dry heat is "fine" compared to humidity. Well, here in Vegas it can easily reach 110 and it`s not as "fine" as you might think.

"what does heat have to do with a mushroom cloud?"

I think it`s a spoof of Glenn Becks` constant "we`re all going to die, and gold will be the only thing worth anything" rantings.

Yeah, I live in Houston and we`re pretty close to the Gulf. It`s high humidity and upper 90`s for much of the year. I guess I`m used to it though. It`s like a sauna!

I agree about the humidity. dry heat is fine, but if its humid it just makes me sweat like crazy. its uncomfortable as hell.

Ya, Phx is my hometown too. We get the heat but not the humidity, we don`t sweat as much but we have to drink a lot more. It`s not that bad most of the time.

98 would be great as dry heat x.x but once you get humidity thrown in there it SUCKS

Idk, I think that 98 degrees and 95% humidity is probably much less tolerable than 120 and no humidity

lol I live in Phoenix, Arizona... it`s 115 degree outside today. So those of you who think 75 degrees is hot... shut your mouth sillies!

P.S. I don`t have air conditioning, just a swamp cooler, which is 100% ineffective in July, due to the rain :P

"75 is really hot to me. If I`m shirtless, I guess 75 is fine. I could not stand going to the beach in 98 degree weather."

But 75 is the accepted room temperature...

Wow Siyanor, at noon it`s usually 120 where I live. Not joking. At night it`s about 102. You wouldn`t last a day here.

True CrakrJak but Glenn Beck did work for Headline News before he moved to Fox.
This could have been one of Glenn`s rants or maybe it wasn`t.
