I don`t think that she`s old. It looks like she was rescued from an owner who didn`t pay any attention to her or provide her with toys to keep her occupied. Parrots are incredibly intelligent and require at least an hour or two of interaction a day, if not more. Parrots will actually go mad if ignored. This poor bird looks so thrilled to have someone pay attention to her. How awful.

That bird is just old as hell. It`s actually so old it`s adorable, I would love to have a bird this cute. The lack of feathers is the only unsightly thing about this bird.

I`m actually surprised it made it that old and remained so personable and healthy.

It`s just a really old bird. When they get 30+ they start losing feathers a lot of the time.

Glad the parrot can do the singing thing, because the bird-leprosy would keep it from an on-camera job...

As a bird owner, this made me very happy. My own conure is in perfect feather and has never been sick a day in her life, but seeing birds like this makes me realize how lucky we are. So many things can go wrong and very few birds manage to live to their high life expectancy, but they are a treasure to enjoy while we have them. Mine will hopefully live another twenty years, and that roosteratoo will hopefully live another 50-80 depending on how old he is now and whether he goes to a good home.

Probably stressed and was losing feathers or self plucking out of boredom, you gotta interact with your birds, which reminds me...I have birds. Crap!

Oh wait, according to the youtube page the bird really IS unhealthy. It was rescued from a neglectful owner or something and it`s now recovering in an animal hospital (where this video was filmed).
