this one girl in my dorm my freshman year of college wrote a note saying "can you girls please not poop in the bathroom? if possible, please go #2 before returning to the dorms. nobody likes coming in here to someone pooping."

i never found out who she was, but i always wondered what was up with her phobia.

how about the person who this was written for just does his/her own dishes instead of making this type of ridiculous self absolving bs excuse

Passive agressive notes are so annoying...Why not just yell at the person? Much better.

Notice that the note`s author claims not to know who is at fault yet states "It`s your turn to buy soap". FAIL.

Passive aggressive messages are writing someone an angry note that`s using the most polite language available. Pretend to weigh up an argument even when you`re not.

If people would just handle their business and not ef with others there would be a lot fewer of these notes.

I already learned all of this from my coworker. She is the queen of passive aggressive notes.

They forgot about "ironic" smiley faces at the end.

Example-

Without: "I can`t wait to punch you in the face" sounds really angry.

With: "I can`t wait to punch you in the face :)" implies that the person writing isn`t at all upset by the situation and are extremely confident that they are going to win.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

i used to live in a dorm where bean covered microwaves and dirty dishes were the least of our worries. someone repeatedly either stopped up the toilets and sinks with paper towels, peed on the TP directly, or threw all the cleaning supplies in the shower. it got to the point they actually gave individual rolls of TP and required signature of responsibility to said TP.

so...i have no sympathy for the intended recipient of these "passive-agressive notes". i mean, i`ve never written one myself, but methinks if you are really that put-off by these notes then you either have never lived with these people in these settings or you ARE these people.

To be passive aggressive you must be confronting someone in a round-about way...that`s passive. but the AGGRESSION comes in the form of the CONFRONTATION.

@ wutwutwut:

actually, this IS a passive aggressive note. the annoyed individual is not confronting the person directly, but is leaving an aggressive note. A cat sitting on the table ignoring you is not being passive aggressive, he`s just being a jerk.

I wish people would learn what "passive-aggressive" means. Cats are passive-aggressive. If you yell at them to stop sitting on your dinner table, they`ll just sit there and ignore you. This letter is not passive-aggressive. If you piss someone off and so they decide to show up late for something just to annoy you, they are being passive-aggressive. The key word is "passive".

To: The IAB staff member who has a chronic addiction to `physics-based games`

As fun as it is to discover the mind-boggling concept of gravity ad nauseum, I think I speak for everybody else who uses this site that we`ve had our fill of clicking blocks and watching other blocks fall (or some variation of).

I don`t know if you had an physics-based experience as a baby involving your head and the floor, but in any case, I chose this game for you because I believe you are THE Gravity Master. I really do:
http://www.gravitymaster.net/

Go ahead. Prove your physics-based game prowess. You`re clearly waayyy over-qualified to be `contributing` to a silly site like IAB anyway. Someone of your caliber is meant to play these captivating games until they`re rotting in the ground, and I`m not just saying that :)

Yours truly, Payn

To the person posting passive aggressive notes on IAB.

These pictures told me they are upset that they are being `re-used` as so-called entertainment. However, You may not know that these are boring and making people reconsider returning to IAB. Especially when great postings are hijacked by the owner or ignored completely. Perhaps instead of self-promotion, Fancy could actually give credit to the poster(s), Even the one`s that disagree with them personally. That would really be GREAT!!!

P.S. Not altering the posters wording would be nice too.

I`m just going to sit here and wait for everyone to write their passive aggressive note trying to be clever.

...even though they`re really not...

....clever: as defined by Webster`s: Mentally quick and original; bright.

...which of course only I fit this definition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
