Love this,I thought at first they were just playing louder to break the noise of a phone ringing, and then I see what they did :) Very funny!

At least they weren`t dicks enough to break his phone or something. They were kinda being funny, and he thought it was funny so it`s all good.

"It is rude to talk on the phone while on a date."

Depends on what the call is, what about if you have a parent who is constantly being cared for, and you get a call from one of his carers? Or perhaps you`ve applied for a job and it`s a response, or you were waiting for an important call in regards to having something collected prior to giving the keys back for a house you are moving out of at the end of the week?

Or basically, don`t judge someone based on generic ideas, you never have any idea what is going on in their life.

As far as pertains to this video though, the guy obviously found it funny. But it was in a public space (not a "concert") and thus he had every right to be on his phone, and would have been fully in his right to tell them to get drated before he jammed one of the instruments up their left nostril.

F those Aholes. They`re performing in a public space. Dude probably wanted to grab a bite to eat, and it`s like, "great, now there`s a bunch of people playing f*cking string instruments." Then they don`t leave him alone when he wants to make a call.

Either way it was a good thing, I really hate it when people feel the need to talk on the phone when they are eating, not to mention that he looked like he was with a girl..... It is rude to talk on the phone while on a date.

it was loud already all the people were talking and there was too much noise. why did they feel irritated by just one specific man? is it because he`s bald?

As liklepip say, that`s not a concert. The guy is sitting at a lovely cafe in Covent Garden in London, I`ve tried to sit there before but there`s always a blinkin annoying string quartet, apparently they weren`t annoying enough with four and somehow found a fifth.

I`m kinda 50/50 on who`s side I`d be on. That could of been a really important call. I don`t see the rudeness on him taking a call.

That wasn`t a concert as much as some street musicians at the mall getting arogant.

It would have been truly epic if the musicians had played for a bit and then issued a severe beat-down to the phone talker. Arrogant windbags who insist on carrying on conversations in movies, at concerts, or during plays and the like need to be BEATEN WITH STICKS. Always. No excuses.

This isn`t a concert. Looks like they`re playing at a food court in a mall or something. That was rude of the musicians.

Sweet.

I went to Petra by candlelight not so long ago and I`d have gladly done a lot worse to the hordes of phone waving idiots. The musicians had to repeatedly beg and cajole to get the tourist rabble to be quiet. When everyone had finally quietened down, the sound of bedouin music started to drift from the darkened treasury..

..just as the local cat tribes went to war. The noise of fighting cats echoing off the walls was drating awesome.

I love it when performers do this. It`s just common courtesy to put aside all of your other conversations and focus on the show (or at least, don`t disturb everyone else so they can enjoy the perfromance in peace). I`m pretty sure that 99.99% of the time, this is not a life-or-death phone call so hang the hell up!

@vanorden64
Fine go on texting in your car. Damn... what was I thinki....OH MAH GAWD TEH BRIDGE IS UP! *SPLASH*

I`m perfectly fine with sacrificing rights that self entitled people never deserved in the first place.
Your "right" to bug the hell out of me with your phone or endanger my life (as another person sharing the road with you tards) with your uber important text "OMG SHEZ HOT" would not be missed.
As for emergency? Heaven forbid you moved 10 feet to a corridor, park on the side of the road, or go outside where your phone DID work again.
Would that reeeeeally be so terrible?
God people love to freak out and pull the "big bro is gonna molest me" card.

@Loxen

sounds like big brother to me. you`re probably one of those people that`s all too willing to give up your basic freedoms for promises of safety, aren`t you. not to mention how inconvenient that would be for nobody`s phone to work in the event of an emergency.

Someday it would be nice to combine very accurate GPS+Cellphones in a way that the phone automatically knows where appropriate service areas are, and just disables/turns itself off in restricted access areas. (Libraries, movie theatres, public speeches, opera houses, upscale dining, texting for moving cars, etc.

Nice one! I remember when I saw metallica live, James told the audience to put there cameras away. I think its fair enough, pay attention to the music! But they were just messing with him :)

Covent Garden is know for alot of entertainment acts, some play intruments other do mime, others do circus acts. But they all on some way playfully pick on the crowd :D

I think there should be 1 guy/girl with a pause button in every movie theatre, so that when someones phone inevitably rings, they can pause the movie and everyone can stare and yell at the person who didn`t turn it off.

I very rarely answer my phone white visiting with friends. But If I did take the time out to answer it, I would expect to not get f***ed with. Lets see how lovely a glass of water looks on those instruments.

This is Covent Garden in London. This is the middle of a shopping arcade and the bit that those people are sitting at tables at is not a restaurant it is a cafe. You often get buskers there but they aren`t to do with the cafe.

I think what the musicians did there was very rude.

Male 1,929
That looks a hell of a lot more like a cafe than it does a gig. I doubt the band are really the main attraction that everyone has turned up for.

Funny. And are people here seriously all upset on behalf of the guy on the phone? He`s at a restaurant, listening to a band play. I`m sure if he wanted to have a life or death phonecall right at that moment, he would have left the restaurant.

Who gives a poo? Did you here the amount of ambiant noise already from everyone else? This was more like a band playing at a restaurant, and while it`s still a dick move to use your phone at a restaurant it was pointless to do that.

He probably had it coming, but maybe he was a doctor or something and it was a very important call.

Of course he could have just stepped away for a minute......nevermind, he`s a dick.

>>as long as the guy on the phone isn`t disturbing anyone else

Figure he`s got to be talking LOUDER to make himself heard. Conclusion: the guy`s being a dick.

Doesn`t seem like a concert- seems like some sort of restaurant garden with a live band... or a pack of instrument playing dicks.

Luckily, it didn`t happen to me or anyone I give a poo about so it`s funny.

Lol. I guess as long as the guy on the phone isn`t disturbing anyone else around him, he shouldn`t have been terrorized like that. But then again, I couldn`t hear the phone conversation, so it`s too early to assume what was happening.

yeah Turtlestyl, that guy`s day was COMPLETELY RUINED because of the bands actions.
he was smiling out of sadness because now he knows his life will be merely a shadow of what it once was....
