""farmville is lame. my 7-year old kids plays it for christ sake."

Your age says "18-29". Exactly how old are you to have 7-year old kids?""

Are your math skills really that bad??? O.o She could have been 11 to 22 when she had a 7 yr old kid... (11+7=18 18+7=25 & 22+7=29) Are they not teaching basic math in school now? Or was that more like "OMG you have a 7 yr old kid, you must be like ancient!"

Some countries would have said it`s criminal. I love this debate: to what extent so we punish theft of intellectual property? Not that anyone playing Farmville has any "intellectual" property, mind you.

"He`s got a point... are people not allowed to take a game seriously? How about the superbowl? It`s all personal preference. I know motorcyclists take their hobby seriously, too. It may not be their livelihood, but if you mess with it, I`m sure it would be aggravating."

There`s a line between taking a hobby seriously and taking a hobby over the top.

Calling the POLICE over a farmville issue is way, way over that line.

TKD, a lot of ppl take these things too seriously. i mean come on, its a game. how u do in this game doesnt affect the rest of ur life. on the other hand, if u delete all of the data on someones computer, it could lead to them failing a class and having to repeat a year or a course or that person could screw up a project for his/her company and get fired. and a house...well ur just dumb for using that one.

Cool. So if you leave your wallet (Password) laying around and I take all your money (crops) then it`s just paper right?

We aren`t protecting intellectual property or anything yet right?

"Sometimes people forget that these types of games are just pixels on the screen."

Tell that to the Korean kid that stabbed his best friend in the heart for stealing his epic sword in some Korean game...

Good way of putting it, TKD.

Sometimes people forget that just because something`s digital doesn`t mean it isn`t real.

oh so you don`t mind if i delete everything on your computer? after all, it`s all just zeroes and ones, nothing big, right? While i`m at it can i burn your house down? i mean, it`s just wood and plumbing really.

Do you see how everything sounds worthless when you put it like that?

Hacking is a crime though and if someone legitimately hacked his account he should be going to the police. Yes even if it is just farmville Someone stole his facebook ID and that is a crime no matter how you look at it.

What happens to people who hack into something? Always the same. Hacking into a game account or hacking into a bank account you get the same exact charges.

Yeah, nothing like that EVER happens in reality. Whether it`s frosts/floods/hurricanes ruining crops or the feds shutting down the water supply to entire regions to save fish at the expense of farmers...

On second thought, Farmville should encourage this kind of thing to introduce a bit of reality into the game, no?
