Typical try at bible bashing. Little known to you, your facts are innacurate, and your interpretation of what is believed is taken out of context.

I`m intrigued. What context could alter the notion of Original Sin? What about the context of Psalms 51:5 tells you that it isn`t exactly as described here?

Just cause someone does not believe the same fairy tale as you does not mean that they are atheists. Funny thing is Atheists beliefs make WAY more sense then any religion you can point out to me, religion is to disney. It`s all make believe that has a HAPPILY EVER AFTER ending if you do what your RELIGION tells you to do.

They should make a part two for the muslims. I guess the good news is that christianity is not one that has people trying to take over the world and killing it`s non- believers (not recently anyway). Of course none of it will make a difference to those already entrenched in their ways.

religion is only good for starting wars. Stop following religion and LIVE YOUR LIFE! if you live to be a good person and we get rid of religion wars will disappear. There will be no arguing about whose god is the right one cause there will be no god just Man living to be happy and productive. Simply minded people need religion to guide them. Strong minded people guide themselves.

Actually Connor, that is exactly what it means. You can`t choose to only follow part of the Bible. It`s an all or nothing thing. The God of the Bible is not a loving, caring God, but a mean spiteful God that will let you rot in Hell for all eternity if you even so much as question his existence. One slip up and you are doomed. Read your Bible.

This Video is atheist propaganda. This is a Twisted ignorant View of Christianity that ALL atheist share.

Repent all sinners and God will show you love. The Bible Says that our Greatest Love is counted as Hate compared to the Love of God.

Atheism Arises out of self Pride with a Mask of Science. you have to have faith to believe in science. How many of you have actually seen a Cell? those of you that haven`t, have to have Faith that the scientist are telling the truth. What Moral guide do scientist use to give you hope that they are telling you the truth? Nothing. Matter of fact MANY have been caught lying anyway. What was here BEFORE the big bang and WHO created that space for the Big bang to happen in? no matter how atheism trys to self indulge itself they will have to bow to something that doesn`t make sense. God says when you seen it and have your proof then it will be too late.

God wants you to be Happy here on this Earth and in Heaven.

No spin there at all. You want proof, in writing, that every single one of those views either have or currently do exist in the Christian community (as a whole or in part)? History doesn`t lie, it`s only spun.

Further, and I think this is important, this is only one video. One little peep in the forest of poo all over the world ascribing the greatness of God and the need to worship Him.

This is a drop in the bucket of the people going door-to-door, asking others to join up, to believe, to repent.

Don`t act like this is any sort of elevation of the rhetoric. This is nothing compared to the religious recruitment effort out there, going on every day, even right now as I type this. Want some Kool-Aid?

To ask for forgiveness for something I had nothing to do with so I will be loved by a being that YOU believe in is ridiculous. To ask for forgiveness for something that I have done to some one that I actually love is not hard. I am a whiner? Really cause I don`t believe what you do? Typical Christian attack the person who does not conform to your beliefs.

Science does not take faith in the sense that religion does. Science produces testable and repeatable results that can be confirmed in the physical world. Religion does not. Anyways, let`s just assume that science is wrong in every way possible; tell me how, then, you are right.

I have indeed seen a cell, I do not believe in science out of faith. I believe in it because it is testable and provable. You may believe in God if you so wish- I defend your right to believe in anything you so wish. I do not however think your beliefs should be permitted to deny other people their rights. Most Christians, and Muslims are sensible, rational and decent people - it is a small fanatical minority of any faith who give the rest a bad name. These are the ones that the rest of us object to, these people threaten all of us by their irrational and dangerous beliefs.

Compounding on what madduck has said, I believe atheism to be superior to any religion because, simply put, it makes this life infinitely more valuable. You only have one chance to make things right, to make a difference in the world. Also, there is no dogma dictating your actions and way of life.

There`s a man in the clouds who causes mass amounts of death and destruction every day, but he does a few nice things every now and then. He wants your money and your love and gives seemingly nothing i return, He made ten rules which you should never break, and if you do then you will go to a place of anguish and agony for the rest of eternity... But he loves you.
(Not an exact quote but close enough)
I don`t know about any of you but if there is a god. and he was so utterly forgiving then he wouldn`t mind if someone worships Nothing before realizing that he IS real. The ten commandments say to worship no OTHER god than him, so if I don`t worship anything then I`m not breaking any rules. If it was then every baby that dies goes to hell because they don`t even understand religion, as such they have no "god".
Honestly, cut the arguing, because until rapture happens or god is proven false then no one can say for sure or not. Until then, bide your time, when it comes

Not how things work. I don`t go around saying that you can`t prove I don`t have a million dollars, so I must have a million dollars since you can prove it false. I also don`t go around saying that unicorns and leprechauns are real, simply because you can`t absolutely prove they don`t exist.

Who`s jamming any beliefs? The video simply (and accurately) portrays the beliefs of the Christian religion. Us atheists that are commenting are simply rebutting the arguments of a few that have decided to comment on the tenets of atheism.

This is absolutely wrong. I watched this thinking that Christians made this, based on the title of the posting. Sure some Christians are seriously crazy, but I could say the same thing about the Atheists.

This should be titled crazy Atheists, because they are the ones who made this video.

Religion is not at fault for the flaws of humanity. It is just one aspect of our war-like nature. One excuse for hate.

But it also could be looked at as a reason to love. It isn`t about the religion itself, it is about the individuals and how they choose interpret the religions teaching. Some use it as an excuse to kill, or act out the violence inside themselves.

But that doesn`t make religion wrong, and nothing could make this video right.

Christians don`t say "it is your fault that Jesus died." To claim such a thing is just ignorant and stupid. Nor do they call new babies worthless. Its all so misleading.

Huh... I clicked this link to see a silly westboro church-style movie and instead I just watched a satirical Christian beat down. This is just asking for a caps-lock-fueled rage.

@Ogen - You sure are mad about that Jesus thing, aren`t you? I`d say it is our fault Jesus died. God says it`s our fault that Adam ate the apple, Adam eating the apple is what condemned us to hell, and Jesus died to save us from going to hell because of Adam eating the apple which is our fault, so therefore it`s our fault Jesus died.

liked it for the Swiftian sarcasm, and I get the point they are trying to make. Yes, Christianity is diverse, but this video pretty much only included the core beliefs that are shared among most of the denominations. Sometimes it`s good for people to look at what they believe from a different angle. It makes you think! Trying to silence these viewpoints or discredit them only makes you look like you are afraid to think.

OR You could simply take an easier route, by accepting that other people have different viewpoints, opinions, likes, dislikes and personalities; live life the way you wish it to be, surround yourself with positive and encouraging people, and do what makes you and others happy, without imposing on the lives and happiness of others by behaving in a fair, modest, and pleasant manner.

    Life`s full of bullsh*t. Life`s too short for bullsh*t. Do yourself and others a favor...cut the sh*t.

"Some one needs to kill religion, it is a thorn in the side of mankind."

The statement above is proof that atheism is a prejudice, and its only premise is hatred for most of humanity.

Religion is the accumulated experiences of most humans beings, to kill religion, one would have to either kill, or completely oppress, most human beings.

East Germany was a test run, that led to some of the worst human rights violations in history.

@Heureux This is exactly my view on it. I`m not religious but I have no hate for religion. Most atheists just can`t accept other peoples views, which is exactly what they hate about religion. This type of atheist is a total hypocrite.

Atheists still define themselves by wither or not they believe in god. So in reality, its a system of belief wither they define it as such or not. I`m part of the South Park sect of belief here. If you watch the episode Go God Go they express their beliefs on atheism pretty damn well.

    @Maps Its not.

And also. I know about original sin. I`ve studied a lot of religions in my life. Christianity more than most.

A lot of Christians believe it as a myth meaning that everyone hurts others, and everyone sins. Some believe it more literal. Everyone is allowed to believe as they will. But when someone starts being prejudice and believing themselves to be better than others, thats what I have a problem with.

    15th century Japanese:
Actually it would be the 16th and 17th centuries. In any case this would be the exception to the rule. If anything it`s more of a mixed story compared to what happen in Rome. Regardless an overwhelming majority of Japanese still identify themselves as followers of Shinto (the native religion).
    muslim and atheists
I`ve been hearing this and the vice versa, quite frankly both cases are a load of crap. What I`ve heard thus far are atheists who openly mock Christianity and religion in general. Then there are those atheists who just mind their own business and when the opportunity to convert comes they turn it down (not without some insisting). When it comes to Muslims, the only Muslims I`ve seen being hateful towards are Qutbists, Taliban, and Al Qaeda. If you are saying that ALL Muslims are oppressive towards Christians, that is a Fallacy of Composition and quite the biggest load of crap I`ve ever heard.

Cajun - take a look at every single Muslim dominated country in todays world - they ALL have a hatred for Christians (and Jews) which leads to horrible discrimination, including kidnapping, rape and forced conversation of Christian girls; burning of churches; killing. IAB doesn`t show anti-muslim links because they are afraid of the violence muslims engage in on a daily basis against freedom of speech.

I think you`re confusing atheism with anti-theism, as Ogen alludes to below. Atheism is, by definition, simply a lack of belief in any gods. The poster you reference is clearly anti-theist (i.e. against religion in all its forms). One can be atheist without being actively anti-theistic.

No sweat Stelly, Cajun. And just to muddy the waters further, being anti-theist doesn`t necessarily mean that you mock religions, simply that you believe the world would be a better place without religion in it, as opposed to atheism which is just a lack of belief in any gods.

I, for one, am an atheist and anti-theist, although I don`t go out of my way to poke fun at religion. I simply think religion does more harm than good. Growing up in Belfast Northern Ireland, watching one group of Christians systematically murdering another group of Christians purely and simply for being a slightly different *flavour* of Christian (in this case Protestant and Catholic) tends to have that effect on you... I myself have seen smears of bloody paste on walls and chunks of charred meat on the sidewalk that used to be people. Just people that happened to belong to the wrong religion on that particular day.

cajun247: the Hagia Sophia only makes my point. It was a Christian Basilica for 1,000 years before it was stolen by the muslims then made into a mosque - it`s relics stolen or destroyed, it`s mosiacs torn up. It was fairly recently turned int a museum. Wikipedia has an entire section devoted to Christian persecution in Turkey - you didn`t read far enough. The Greek patriarch of Turkey has gone so far as to say he felt "crucified" by the oppression.

That`s what precipitated the conflict in the first place yes, but while it was ongoing for 30+ years, rest assured it was purely sectarian violence. You couldn`t tell someone`s political ideologies from the look of them in the street (bear in mind these are all white Irish europeans, all look alike), so the only way you could tell who the enemy was was on religious grounds. You could tell by someone`s name, the school they went to, the area of town they lived in, even if you didn`t have the overt knowledge of where they went to church on a sunday. Hence the reason why catholic chapels, protestant churches etc were targeted. Toward the end they were literally murdering people of the other religion just because they were the other religion.

I guess my point is, if we didn`t have completely man-made religious labels such as "Catholic" or "Protestant" to differentiate one from the other, then how would you know who the enemy was so that you could car-bomb them? To me, any form of tribalism is bad and causes separation and strife in the human condition. Some forms of tribalism or separatism are obvious, such as race or nationality. Others not so obvious, such as religion. If there WERE no religion, how would the 9-11 bombers know who the infidels were to fly aircraft into their buildings? How would the Palestinian suicide bomber know which cafe to run into with a grenade vest, if that cafe wasn`t Jewish? How would the Shiite muslim know which market in Baghdad to bomb if it wasn`t a Sunni muslim area of town? All false labels we put on ourselves without which we wouldn`t see each other as adversaries because you`d have no idea who the enemy was.

@davymid another foolish idealist.Never is anything so simple with something so large as religion. These ideas evolved for a reason, yes societies and ideas evolve and are selected. Not all christians believe what this video even says.People are born worthless but that`s the opposite of what religion says- read philosophers for and against it.The fact is current morality is based on stability and other such necessities. Also religion isn`t the core of much death- people kill each other in mass numbers without it and will always- like the Holodomor. Current morality is based on the slave religion, such as concepts like basic equality first came from it despite claims of kings.Your morality is probably highly inconsistent. If its not then you have to ask things like why is it wrong to kill people? Many are simply parasites when our duty left is reproduction and evolution as seemed by our own creation. You will probably simply fit the answers to your ideas, like a fundamentalist.

For the first time, I agree with you Crackr. There is definitely a dichotomy going on here.

Now what if we removed religion, so that the Christian Turks and the Muslim Turks had literally no idea who held the Hagia Sophia? A purely Turkish landmark, to be celebrated, rather than fought over? How would you know who the enemy was, if they were the same ethnicity, race, nationality, etc etc? I propose that you wouldn`t have any idea, youd just be a patriotic Turk proud of a national landmark.

Religion breeds conflict,on a massive scale

ok lets keep christian bashing going I am a christian but not a preaching type i try to keep it to myself unless someone wants to talk with me about it however this is getting about tiring first off i ask this why is it when a christian contridicts an athiest they are preaching and bashing but doing this is acceptable??? i thought tolerance for others beliefs was something intelegent ppl did but most important to this rant is how stupid this would sound if it was directed at a diff belief (yes admit it or not athiesm is a belief too) "welcome little baby to the world but first u must know u were born for no reason, must be a good person to others for no reason and little different than the monkey you see at the zoo just be glad you dont have a tail" now that sounds pretty stupid to me IMO the bible does conflict in some places but remember one little fact, it has been trainslated from language to language thousands if not millions of times so it has changed alot

"The bible contradicts itself enough times to become bullpoo."

What many forget is that the bible was written by men who had their own personal opinions put into it, not on purpose necessarily, but out of our own human nature. I can assure you this video is not supported by most Jews and Christians. This video pretty much sums up the backwoods Christian philosophy that you find in the hills in America.

What no one will tell you also is that the "antichrist" which so many Christians claimed Obama was, is almost entirely a theology taken from the Qu`ran. This version of Christianity, and many other religions, that are taught in such a fundamentalist fashion, rarely have much to do with the principles that the Qu`ran, New Testament, and the Tanakh are based upon. God reaches many cultures through many different ways, and there is no need to convert people by the masses, only teach them what is right and wrong (ie: do not kill, steal, love your neighb

davymid: To be honest davy, I haven`t heard of Christians making `Holy War`, `Fatwas` (Legal Edicts), or committing acts of terrorism against muslims or their mosques (At least not in the last 200 years).

You see all religion as the source of the problem, What is really the problem is backward 13th century fundamentalist islam. The other religions of the world seem to be getting along with one another, For the most part. I`m not advocating the removal of islam, I`m advocating that muslims adapt to the 21st century and live in peace.

A world without religion would not be a `Utopia` it would be a nightmare. People advocating such a world don`t have a clue about what the consequences would be to society.

The bible wasn`t translated from Hebrew into English by Google Translate, it was translated by people who could understand both languages and thus what is lost in translation is minimal. So I don`t buy that the bible would be massively different if you read an original copy.

A world without religion would be a world more peaceful than it is now.

And regarding your comments on Islam, please be aware that the vast majority of Muslims are peacefull and live in harmony with their neighbours. However, as ever, the minority spoil it for the majority and adopt a more fundamental approach and the same can be said for Christians too. Take the Westboro church for one. I appreciate that these people don`t go flying planes into buildings but extremism is extremism all the same.

If our skins were all the same we`d fight about hair colour.
If that was the same we`d fight about who`s taller/shorter.
EVEN IF that was the same we`d fight about where you live now, where you used to live, what colour clothes you wear & etc.

Know this, God has NOT killed anyone at all since Jesus died. All the horrible things happening are not the result of God. They are of the Devil he is the one with dominion over this Earth now until the return of Christ. STOP blaming God for Evil. Its like blaming Obama for the oil spill.

....wait..atheists made this. It`s at the end.
This is what atheists THINK Christians believe.
    First off:
We are sinful not because of our birth (that was a medieval ploy). We are sinful because we hate instead of love, judge instead of accept, and fear instead of taking responsibility. We are sinful for specific things (murder, war, and thievery) or ambiguous things (judgement, envy, greed). Second, we praise the life of Jesus and thank him for his sacrifice. We don`t ask for the forgiveness of Jesus for killing him (cause we didn`t). We ask forgiveness for our own sins.

Lastly, God does show himself to those who believe. Just not in ways you may expect.

It makes me giggle to watch the religious and the non religious have these little battes over who is wrong and who is right. Religion is BS, but atheism isn`t right either.

Yeah, the Bible has been translated and re-translated and has been altered. However, there is still plenty in there that wasn`t touched and is worthwhile. Religion is the act of taking good ideas and applying rules to them, thusly negating the ideas themselves and trapping it`s "believers" in a room where they can do nothing but walk in circles and do the same thing over and over again. That doesn`t negate the existance of God or that there is a lot more out there that we can ever know or comprehend.

Those who are seeking the truth will ignore religion and atheists and propaganda like this, because that is merely the fabric of dreams for people who are still sleeping.

1.)I have NEVER been taught that I have to apologize for killing Jesus
2.)The reason Jesus died on the cross is so we could be forgiven of all of our sins without the need of a sacrifice. Those scripts that they showed, all took place BEFORE Jesus was hung on the cross.
3.)...God doesn`t actually receive the dollars in heaven. Its for the church, so they can continue their outreach and keep the lights on.

The public school system started going down the sewer when they took `Under God` out of the pledge of allegiance.

Considering the facts that kids being taught in parochial schools are better students, It would be `Moronic` to continue this failed Godless socialist experiment in our public schools.

I think that this video brought up many striking points. However, I, being a Christian, have spent a large part of my life studying why God does some of the things he does. I can understand why some christian concepts could be hard for a person raised atheist to wrap their heads around. I encourage all people to at least give christianity a chance, because I believe that Jesus is the way to salvation and would like to help save as many people as possible. I say this in the least pushy way possible, because I know that so many Christians have a tendency to act angrily to content like this and demand that their point of view is correct. I think that many Christians today don`t understand the true meaning of God`s word. Atheists no longer make me mad. I understand that Christianity is a scary thing. I`ve spent 15 years trying to understand it but still don`t have ALL the answers, although it`s a lot better than when I was a brainwashed christian child. Now I have rhyme and reason to my f
