I am so incredibly sick of political cartoons being labeled. The whole POINT of political cartoons originally was to mock to political figures without being obvious about it, as being too obvious about it could have resulted in losing your head. I want to have to "get it" when I look at a political cartoon.

None of those demands conflict with each other, so the cartoon isn`t as bad as reality.

It`s similar over here - most people want our new leader to cut a couple of hundred billion a year from public spending without cutting anything from public spending...and will blame him for not being able to do both.

Intesresting. It seems to me that the creator of this is trying to say that the general public is being too demanding and perhaps that is why it seems like there is so much on his plate.

However, what I see is a big cartoon reminding me that absolutely none of these things have been accomplished since he took office. Whatever has been accomplished he cannot take credit for because it was policy set forth before he took office.

Really people, what has our Government accomplished in the last three years? Can you check off at least one of those boxes? (Most of which were known problems when he took office.)

maybe people wouldn`t expect so much if his P.R. machine hadn`t made him out to be the 2nd coming. Maybe people shouldn`t put all of their hopes and dreams on the shoulders of one man. Maybe we should all believe in ourselves a little more and fix our own god damned problems even if it means having to take back some of the power along with the responsibility of running our lives. maybe this isn`t really a political forum since the last link i checked out was a statue holding a rooster. maybe ima shut up now...and.. now.

"Let me see if I follow you. We put a totally incompetent doofus in the most powerful position in the world, and he screws up everything he touches. He trashes the economy so millions of people lose their jobs; he runs up the national debt so our grandchildren will be paying half their income just to cover the interest; he kowtows to our enemies and poisons relationships with our allies; he destroys the health care system and nationalizes the financial and automotive industries just like Hugo Chavez; he totally screws up a national disaster; he appoints dozens of equally incompetent left-wing radical socialists to important positions, and he blames everything on his predecessor. And this sounds funny to you?"

If people would quit bitching and look around for a minute, y`all might realize that the real problem is everyone wants to blame someone else and the President, Democrat or Republican is just a convenient scapegoat. Unless you`re doing something to make life better for others and not just yourself you`re part of the damned problem. That`s the cornerstone and key to a functional society. Whining and bitching just makes you sound like a whiny bitch.

Lol... Obama is NOT socialist at all. Not in the least.

Socialism doesn`t mean "government-owned businesses and high taxes." It means "equal distribution of income."

If Obama WERE actually socialist, I`d have no problem with him. But he isn`t. I mean, I don`t hate him, I just don`t think he`s a very good president. But NOT because he`s socialist, since he isn`t.

Obama was always going to have this problem, and it`s why I didn`t want him elected.

Everyone on IAB was talking about how Obama would do all these things when he came in to office and I was the one saying, no, he wouldn`t, he couldn`t, and that`s not even what he was promising to do.

Now, exactly as I suspected, the Republicans have made the economy "his fault", which, as a Market Analyst, I can personally vouch for being the greatest amount of bullpoo I have ever heard outside of the internet.

Obama is doing an adequate job. He was always going to be adequate. People were always going to crucify him for it.

Seems that`s what people like to do when they think the Messiah has come.

And no, he`s not socialist, various economies run on a redistribution of wealth in various forms. Your economy currently has a redistribution of wealth TO THE TOP.

The people who control 90% of the wealth pay only 60% of the taxes. For you to have a fair system, you need that to be at least equal. Making it 89:51 doesn`t make you all a bunch of commies.

You`re not promoting hard work, you`re not promoting ingenuity. You`re promoting inheritance living.

Redistribution of wealth is one counter to that. That does not mean communism, which entails paying doctors the same as street cleaners, thereby undervaluing education, success, ingenuity, work, etc.

Redistribution of wealth can simply be making sure everyone is given equal opportunity to rise through the ranks for their own merit.

Long story short, less Paris Hilton, more Benjamin Franklin.

Basically, if redistribution of wealth is the sole criteria for socialism, you`ve been a socialist country for years. If not, you can`t then complain when a SMALLER redistribution of wealth to offset the first is put in place.

I honestly don`t think these things actually. What I do think is that absolutely nothing has truly been accomplished and that, my friend, is hardly believable. I am pretty sure that none of his big talk and promises have come to fruition. Now I know that it`s not all his fault, he is not a one man Government... but, with that said, I think he knew how impossible all his promises were going to be, but made them to get elected like every other politician would. There once was a republican named Theodore Roosevelt. He knew the dangers of having the majority of the nations wealth spread amongst a few very wealthy individuals. He called them "Robber Barons" and had their industries broke up. A very socialist thing to do but republicans of that time were all for it. Oh yeah he was quite the environmentalist as well.

Are you correcting me? Because my man Theodore served as president of the USA for 3 terms. ALL as republican. He started the Moose party when he lost support of his party. Sheesh.
His anti-trust work was done as a republican as were his additions to the National Parks. All very non-republican actions in todays world...

"The only thing this jackass has accomplished is pushing through a health care bill that no one wanted."

What people didn`t want is a healthcare bill invented by O`Reilly, Hannity, Beck and other conservative pundits. The tea-partiers rallied against Obamacare- but when you listened to what they thought Obamacare was, it didn`t resemble the actual bill. You kept hearing the phrase "complete government takeover of healthcare," which the bill was not. Not even in the same fcuking galaxy as a complete government takeover. Polls showed that when you asked Americans about the individual provisions of the bill, they were overwhelmingly in favor of it. But when you asked people if they supported Obama`s plan, they said they were against it. Democracy fails when the people voting don`t know what the hell is going on.

"His anti-trust work was done as a republican as were his additions to the National Parks. All very non-republican actions in todays world..."

Honestly, neither the Reublicans nor the Democrats have the cajones to do anything more than pay lip-service to battling against corporate malfeasance these days.

If you take away all of the politics and the slur-slug-fest, you have a man who has visibly aged immensely since he started his campaign.
Is who going to save the country? Who knows.
But it looks like the man is up all night, every night, trying. It`s wearing on the guy.
I can respect him simply for that kind of effort. Good for him.

Oh please. The dude ran as a messiah who was going to save the country/world (which works on people who sit around expecting government to take care of everything). He appointed himself chair of the UN Security Council (unconstitutional), took over the census (unconstitutional, pushed health "care" thru using unconstitutional procedures, wants a domestic military, has had the least transparent presidency, adn`t had a press conference in a year until last week, promised no lobbyists in W.H., has spent us into a debt beyond the wildest dreams of Bushes, Clinton, and Carter combined, didn`t lay the wreath on Memorial Day, refuses to display the US flag during press conference. Secretly met with the Bilderburg Group prior to the election.

About the only things he has done consistently well are read from teleprompters, host expensive parties, and throw temper tantrums in public, and openly criticize American citizens.

"i would just like to say he`s the president... not freakin Jesus"

Good thing, `cause if we were going to choose a fictional character to lead the United States, I`d vote for Harry Potter.

"Democracy fails when the people voting don`t know what the hell is going on."

oh my truer words have never been spoken... much of our problems stem from the fact that the media is controlled by big businesses and they won`t tell us the truth anymore. and if you try to go to some other source other than the BIG media companies you can never be too sure what you`re getting is fact or bullpoo.

i want to ask one simple question and get everyones respone...

For all the people angry at obama for whatever the reason is, my question to you is, during the election (since the election is already over im going to ask this)

Did you or did you not vote for Obama?

this is true that he promised "change" and hasnt completely kept that promise but he has to have a campaign slogan so that people will vote for him AND he has changed some things for the better,

when you voted for him, did you expect him to create miracles and fix every little thing that bush broke during his presidency TWICE!? if bush was elected twice into office and hardly did anything to benefit the economy or society, and obama has already shown that while he is not perfect he is somewhat fixing society, shouldnt he be given a second term?

put yourself in his shoes, what would you do?

" But when you asked people if they supported Obama`s plan, they said they were against it. Democracy fails when the people voting don`t know what the hell is going on."

What`s even better is when they made it seem as if it was Bush`s idea, the approval rating went up, and same with Clinton, but when it was phrased as being Obama`s plan, the approval rating immediately dropped.

Let`s just address the elephant in the room: almost everyone I know who dislikes Obama is a racist--plain and simple. Some really dislike his policies, but most don`t even know what they are, and don`t care--they just go "Hey, drat that NIGG3R."

Send Obama up north. You guys can have Stephen Harper. Sending bloody $1.9-million on a goddamn artificial indoor lake in the Toronto media centre. God I hate Harper so much.
