It`s for those who don`t own a computer who`d like to get insight on the sites they could be on had they owned said computer (and, of course, this is a perfect reference point for them considering the buffoon who wrote it doesn`t own a computer, either, and heard of these sites from "people") and it goes on ad nauseum... good thing I love a paraaade!

There was a time when there weren`t any search engines (and before they were well-known) and people had to search in one of these to find a new site relevant to their interests.

Although 2003 seems kinda late, knowing that Altavista started in 1996. Probably the last edition.
