Turning off the lights was really nice. I just hope Will didn`t just lock the driver out of his own vehicle though. My old car`s locking system broke and I was forced to leave 1 door unlocked in order to get in. It sucked until I had it fixed.

That`s like when I found a wallet near my house with about £200. I turned it into the local shop and then like a few days later I got a note saying "I was on holiday over here and in the back of my wallet was my boarding pass. It`s great that people like you exist." and he put some money in there too :D.

Really made me feel good.

That`s so sweet. ^_^ But what makes me even happier is the fact that there aren`t any spelling mistakes in the note. Does that make me a huge geek? =3

Zepar, I don`t know if you realize... That`s pretty much how martial law works in the US, because of the Patriot Act. It just so happens that military men aren`t so absolutely moronic that they choose to deny everyone rights for no reason.

SamVimes "The bad news is that while the person was busy reading this note, Will broke into their home and beat up their dog."

First thing I thought of when I read that comment was one of the Web of Intrigue videos from the game Prototype.

Guy: I want an attorney, I know my rights.
Military Officer: Obviously you don`t understand martial law. You have the right to be ventilated, I have the right to shoot your dog and burn your home. Do you understand your rights as I have read them to you?
Guy: Oh god, yes!
Military Officer: Then shut the drat up!

I love when shi t like this happens!

This girl came through my till had left her engagement ring in the bathroom...Poor thing looked ready to cry and was white as a sheet. Gorgeous ring, from 1929, with a diamond and sapphires and luckily someone had turned it in just 5 minutes before! Makes my day!

Do people actually just leave their keys in the car for short trips or any reason? Because if you leave the keys in the car, with the doors unlocked, you deserve to have it stolen. That`s just stupid considering how many pooty people are sketching around.

Now What if the owner of the car has Alzheimer`s disease and he, assuming he is a man, left the lights on on purpose so he would know which car is his, and left the door unlocked because he always forgets where he`d left the keys and now leaves them in the car to solve that problem? Well, now his day is just ruined! Thanks a lot, Will! UGH!

"Will is an awesome guy".

Why? Surely this is just some common decency that we`d all do? What`s wrong with people that they need to specially mention someone on the internet just for not stealing something or watching their battery go flat and laughing like some moron from the forums on Ebaums. That`s why I haunt the IAB fora.

you can push the little thing down to lock the door, then close it. or push the lock button and it will lock the door before you close it. simple really, lock, then close, you don`t need a key

I had similar happen, when to walmart and someone`s keys were in the driver`s door >_<, it was an old car and the inside smelled like grandma, so I opened the door with the keys, locked all doors but the drivers and stuck the keys under the seat with a note on the seat telling them where their keys were

"It`s such a shame kindness like this is a rarity in our world, these days. That if it occurs, it`s immediately `special` or worth mentioning."

That`s exactly why it -needs- to be mentioned, because until the world becomes more like this, we need to be reminded of it every day.

Nonetheless, I applaud this individual for his honesty. May good things happen to him in the future. : )

"I leave my car unlocked all the time.

you must live in a safe neighborhood.

@ Mr_Sir
"Thanks Will, but why were you trying the door handle?.."

He said the lights were on and most likely checked the doors to see if he can turn them off. He then left a note letting the person know that he could have had it stolen if it weren`t for a random kind individual.
