Gerry, why are their tattoos considered stupid by you? Because you don`t understand them? At least these people are putting something that their passionate about rather than a "oh I`m 18" butterfly or something equally useless. They`re more interesting than most tattoos I see.

For me, 7 had the potential to be the best. However, they should have altered the tone inside the "rip" a little to distinguish it from the surrounding skin. Still cool though.

Man - Davymid, personally speaking as someone who has a very large back tattoo, the only regret I have is I can`t fit anymore on it! Honestly, some of the xtreme mods are far worse than a well done tattoo!

"Tats are for dicks. How often did you change your mind about your favourite song? I rest my case. That sh*t`s forever."

Doubt it. For every win there is a ton of fail, but I have seen some beautifully done tats. the technique is an artform really. And what about people who get the name of a deceased love one or other meaningful tat?

Personally, their not something I want on my hide, but really, no need to be a dick about it. :\

Or.. relevant to anything? ever?"

I dunno davymid, I have 5, got them over the last 5 years, and I don`t regret any of them. Even if I regret the tattoo itself in the future, It`s knowing that, at the time, it was important to me that I want to remember

It`s not "illuminati" writing. It`s called an Ambigram. Dan Brown did not invent it either (just to be (facetious). There`s actually programs on the internet to write those for you that you can then buy and have tattooed. They`re actually quite neat.

Also, why can`t anyone read the comments before commenting? There`s like a million people both answering and asking about the binary and the giraffe.

I kind of like the ripped skin one. A lot of times people get those and it shows either what would be there or machinery or something, which when done well is neat, but I think showing under your skin what you "are" in this sense is... compelling.

"so what would an employer say (seriously this time)?"

about tattoos? depends... I have a binary half-sleeve on my upper right arm, and some geometry and MC escher stuff on the lower of the same arm.

Covered them up for my first serious interview and once i was hired i didn`t care. Employer didn`t care either, i work in the IT field and everyone thought they where neat. When meeting customers/execs/people that matter for the first time i usually cover them up so there`s no prejudice just because i have tattoos... People are always interested in them after getting to know me.

I`ve also experienced the other end where people think your daft just because you have tattoos.
