so uh, does anybody know if when it heals, if it gets all tight and makes it hard to bend? cause that`s what I imagine.

It`s actually really intricate and beautiful. Looks like Mayan or Aztec design.

Wouldn`t it be such a letdown if he makes keloids? Those are freaking painful to treat, even if it`s a small area.

How is this a horrid idea? Who are you to badmouth it? I think it is wonderful and well made. Your opinion is flawed because there is nothing wrong with it. And I think many people agree with me.

whoa, thats really cool :D
i would def not have the guts to do something like that, and its only attention seeking when its like, i dont know, something stupid like "cutter" or something, this is body art, just a more extreme version of a tattoo i guess...ouch

i really hate the way scarification gets so much bad press. this happens because everyone sees fresh work, if you showed someone a healed piece in sure they would think of it differently. hoenstly, go and look at some healed ones. they are beautiful.

"If this person doesn`t want attention, why did he take a picture and put it on the Internet, hmm"

Perhaps because he is proud of how it came out and wants to show his friends how it looked when it was still fresh. (The red heals within a day or so.)

I love how people think that people who do this do it for attention. I have tattoos. I didn`t get any of them because i wanted attention. I got them because I like the art form, and the tattoos are reminders of important things in my life. Scarification like this is no different. He`s not gonna walk around with a giant sign saying "HEY! LOOK AT ME! I HAVE A GIANT SCAR ON MY BACK THAT LOOKS LIKE QUETZALCOATL!" He got it because he likes the art or maybe it means something to him. People need to get over themselves and accept that people do things that you don`t because they enjoy it, and the fact that you don`t doesn`t make you better than them.

The most awful scarification idea is planing to ever get one.

But, people who want attention but don`t have any discernible talent or skills worthy off attention will always pull stupid stunts to get it.

Because they are photographed right after they are made, and soon after the creator realizes how stupid this will look and regrets it for the rest of his life. That`s my guess.

It looks Indonesian, like the garuda. Cultural body-mods (hopefully from your own culture) are the way to go, and that looks pretty sweet.
