Actually, the Toronto Sun isn`t the greatest of news sources ... seriously, every day they have a "Sunshine Girl" plastered across the back page in her bikini and most of it`s written at a grade seven reading level. The article isn`t all tabloid fabrication, but as newpapers go the Sun ranks preatty low.

"SUN and that`s all I got to say about this..."

The Toronto Sun is owned by Quebecor Media, in other words it`s a Canadian company. Unlike it`s similarly named tabloid UK counterpart it`s actually a news reporting medium.

Don`t be so quick to judge

Oh, no, the Sun is legit. Sun media runs newspapers in most big Canadian cities. It`s usually stupid, but it`s a proper newspaper.

They did admit in the article that some observers thought it to be an animal in stages of decomposition.

I agree with corpse. I thought the sun was semi fictitious, maybe not the toronto sun though. Although it seems most internet news sites are fiction now..

I`m from Northern Ontario(currently in southern Ontario for school though) and I have never seen a creature like that before. I`m from a place called (yes you`re going to laugh)Moose Factory. Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug isn`t that far away.

I really have no idea what this is. If I was to guess I would say it`s a wolverine that lost some of its fur but it really doesn`t look like it.

w31rd0 I know you`re from Toronto so your excused from not knowing jack but it`s not a possum. Possums are from Australia. It`s also not an O-possum either if that`s what you`re thinking of since they only live in the US and the very southern parts of Canada. Rarely do they go further north than Toronto.

@ rainbowfarts
Thanks for posting that. I`ve been curious of the conclusions on a few of those.

*lightbulb goes off in head*
You know, it would be very awesome if someone out there created a website completely dedicated to "popular news" follow-ups.
All these random news bits, memes, sob stories, freakish mutant pics... theres never any closure to any of it. Everyone moves on without an answer.
There should be a website that goes "Hey remember that weird shiz off the net a few weeks back? Heres what happened later"

God, if I wasn`t so lazy I`d do it.

every once in awhile, a decrepit animal corpse lands on the shores of yonder native reserve and thousands flock to the `monster`. but it usually turns out to be a common animal that had its fur ripped off, washed away (water is strangely vicious), broke some appendage, etc.

i think cracked did an article on this - if anyone can find the link please send! want to read it again, but can`t find it.

maybe im wrong but i could ehave sworn that an eye without a pupil is incapable of vision? why is it described to have glazed over eyes and not just rolled back into his head? (the only plausible reason i can think of for having pure white eyes)

hmm. when was this? i never heard of it. looks like a warthog or something. they find weird creatures all the time. sometimes i think its just a genetic mutation of another animal, you know? like how some humans are born deformed, looking different or have some kind of genetic condition

@bigfatdynamo, that does not look like a mink, nor do I believe we have mink in that area.

I agree that the face looks as tho the hair was taken off, but idk, i couldn`t find a better image other than the one given as of yet

It is a mink whose face has been de-furred while in the water. Notice that the snout looks broken, which probably occurred when the critter was caught in a trap. Not a monster.
