davidxj - i hope they do make this standard practice so when you look at a law enforcement official wrong they will cram you with 50k volts. it`s drated up.

i can never understand why people defend the whole tazering mentality. so he ran onto a field, the dude got tazered! where the drat are we living, soviet russia, nazi germany? what the drat really?! i have seen all kinds of people being tazered and never have i agreed with the practice. the whole practice has made law enforcement officials a bit to quick to the draw. i bet they sit back and laugh at the poor people they taze. seems like our whole concept of law is drated. you dont want terrorists interrogated to the fullest extent of our capabilities, but your okay with a 17 year old prankster getting tazered. seems like totally upside down America.

and remember no illegals no burritos

THIS is what tasers were meant for... making people think twice before being a dumbass. If people know that the consequence of running naked onto a soccer field is 15,000 volts, they have to really WANT to do it... and that`s fine with me. I`ll be chearing both for the perp and for the dude with the taser. It`s win win.

Unbreakable, let me help you with that.
"I ran in one little Phillies game and my mom got scared, she said `you`re moving with you`re auntie and uncle to bel air!"

That`s what you get when you run on the field. You have to show people there are consequences to their actions or else you`re passively promoting that it`s no big deal to do it. Players have gotten attacked by people running on the field, and there are some pretty psycho fans out there. Gotta think of the players` safety. If you don`t want to get tased, just watch the game from the stands like a normal human being.

He`s lucky he didn`t try that at an Eagles game. One of the linebackers would have f-ed him up good.

Lolz!
Any idiot who runs onto the field deserves this, and a $2000 fine, plus lots of jail time for a second offence.

Maybe if everyone there wasn`t fat and old, they could have caught him the old fashioned way... But hey, it`s baseball. Of course everyone is fat and old.

You know, cutting a straight line through the outfield would`ve been cool in a funny way - but to keep going round & round in circles, disrupting the game... Yeah, he really needed the taze.

I live in Philly. I just heard about this on the news. That was a police officer, and Charles Ramsey (The chief of police) has already said that he was within the law in terms of using his tazer. He went on to say that the officer had no way of knowing if the fan was, "Being stupid," or was up to something more dangerous.

It`s the long-awaited Angels in the Outfield sequel: Tasers in the Outfield! First they cheered and laughed, but now they`re convulsing and foaming at the mouth! GREAT FAMILY FUN MOVIE!

That security guy was really keen to use his new toy. He didn`t even consider a manual tackle he just ran straight in with the tazer. I really hope they don`t get the national go ahead here. they`re still doing small pilots at the moment. But to have every cop on the streets with a tazer as the first defence would be a bit scary.
