Why does this look so much like mold to me? I can figure out how its a mouse....I`m probably mistaken.

i agree with TKD Master....the mouse does have that "i`ve been stuffed into a can for a long time" look to it...

so, if its fake because the can is already open, how would they show us an unopened can with a mouse in it? seems to me you have to open it first to find that it has a mouse in it. i found a mouse in a bag of lays once, i had to open it first too.

idk guys...where do you find a dead mouse thats `ive been stuffed into a can for a long time` shaped? sure, having the can open gives us reason to believe it is fake...but that mouse looked like it`s been canned for a while...So, i wonder how many mouses are in my pantry :P

Oh ew D: You know I can kind of believe this kind of stuff happens. Ive known a few people who worked at factories separating things like cereal, and they can actually allow a certain amount of rat/animal droppings to be in your cereal without getting in trouble :(

you cant use the fact that the can is open as an argument because why would they be filming themselves just opening a can, if they already opened the can and that was there they would then film the removal of the contents.. also this is GROSS

It was actually mold the company is saying. Sounds like they`re going to make it right too. The Update Is Here

What is that stuff? Spaghetti and beans?

But this certainly doesn`t look fake the way the mouse was "shaped" by the can.

And would the moron filming hold the camera steady for a second...

I agree that people are in denial....

"that was a frozen rat for feeding snakes, you can tell by the way the skin and body have flat-ish areas and very stiff fetal position"

You know why they are like that? because they were compact! And when a mouse gets stuck in a can, its sure to get those `flat parts` too... and it was in that position because, while sitting in the food, it was curled up. you are a dumbass!

It seems like those who try to defend chef are in denial. It obviously looks like the mouse was compacted in with the food.

Since the top is off *and* it was filmed, we don`t know how the mouse got there. We can`t assume anything.

"i`ve seen that b4 its what happens when u pop the top of a chef can and leave it in the pantry for a few months notice the video has the top already popped not because they found a "mouse" but bc they staged it and popped it 3 or 4 months prior so im calling BS on this"

OOORRR....

they bought the can to eat it popped the lid off snd saw what was in there and decided to video it

idk about you but i don`t expect to find that kind of poo in a can of food so i tend not to video it everytime i open a can of food.

i would have been more suspicious if it had been opened on camera because it would be like they actually expected to find somthing

That is actually mold... the same thing happened to an old glass of V8 I left out in my garage by accident. It just grew over the surface of the liquid.

cuz we all know that right after eating said already-opened-can-of-chef-boyardee, mice die. then again, to add more conspiracy notes, maybe they put rat poison in it. because the camera should have always been on.

As a mod, I`m programmed to hate people who call fake, repost, old, FIRST! and various other retarded bleatings. Yet I was compelled to call FAKE! on this one.

Instinct, dear boy. Call it instinct.

”Upon a thorough lab analysis, our food safety experts have confirmed that the substance found in the can of Chef Boyardee spaghetti and meatballs is mold, likely caused by damage to the can during shipping. Regardless of this outcome, it`s not acceptable for a consumer to receive a product in that condition, and we regret the incident. We have shared these findings with the consumer.”

thats an awfully clean mouse there video-maker. but i love how you scooped it out like an old ice cream ball there, so i could vomit like a frat boy.
so we all know now, that they put it there, and it is indeed still nasty...i still like chef, and i don`t want to think of that poo while i`m eating ravioli

Wow. Anyone can capture a dead rodent and stuff it inside canned food and make a senseless video about their discovery.

Anywho, with the rat, it probably made that meal more nutritionist.

On one hand she seemed a little distraught by the mouse. On the other hand, she wasn`t shaken up enough to NOT spoon it out of the can. Honestly, if you can sit there and play, poke, and prod something, you aren`t upset about it.

Of course I would do the same thing, so eh...

Among the FDA booklet`s list of allowable defects are insect filth, rodent filth (both hair and excreta pellets), mold, insects, mammalian excreta, rot, insects and larvae (which is to say, maggots), insects and mites, insects and insect eggs, drosophila fly, sand and grit, parasites, mildew and foreign matter (which includes `objectionable` items like sticks, stones, burlap bagging, cigarette butts, etc.).

Tomato juice, for example, may average 10 or more fly eggs per 100 grams or five or more fly eggs and one or more maggots. Tomato paste and other pizza sauces are allowed a denser infestation — 30 or more fly eggs per 100 grams or 15 or more fly eggs and one or more maggots per 100 grams.

Um, davymid? I think it would be MORE fake if they started with an un-opened can that "just happened" to have a mouse in it...
I`m just sayin, eh? Why would they film the openeing of a can? lolz!

Davy: As I`d agree it could be faked. The mouse looked really packed in there and appears to be genuine.

I seriously doubt she shoved a mouse in the can by hand, She appeared to not even want to touch it at all (which is understandable).

Don`t you think it would have been more fake if it was closed? How could they have filmed it beforehand? They wouldn`t have known, obviously.
