If you guys are retarded enough to wonder if this is fake or not just look at the left guys hand at 0:58. Myth busted.

If da Vinci had had a nail gun, still wouldn`t have affected the Sistene Chapel.

No reason why nail guns couldn`t work at that distance, given high enough air pressure. With that speed and accuracy I want to call bull though.

*cough cough* Sistine chapel was michelangelo

Just look at him pulling the trigger. He`s not nearly fast enough to keep up with the sound of the nails striking the board.
Do nail guns even work at that distance?

Totally fake and not even entertaining..sucks so much..it would be so cool if someone could actually do this with a nail gun

@uhmerikin

good catch. You`re entirely correct. That is called a mask. it was placed over the nail portrait (which had been completed prior to the shooting of this film) and the mask was slowly removed as he "shot nails" into the portrait. thats how I would have done it at least. very basic editing. damn good catch on your part though.

Fake but entertaining. Just look at the 1:05 to 1:10 mark; he makes some lines near the bottom and the left eyebrow at the same time.

"Just think what the Cistene Chapel would`ve been like if Da Vinci had a nail gun..."

You mean "sistine" and "michelangelo"

i like how when he leans back the nails go down....there must be a gravity enhanced field above them that he is ricocheting them off of....

that and why would you want a belt felt nail gun? Other than the obvious reason of going on a rampage?

By the way, stop the video at the :57/:58 mark and look at the guy on the left and how his right arm crosses over to the right arm of the Mona Lisa. See that white patch overlapping his arm? Kinda looks like a layer in photoshop that you`d have when you fake a piece of junk like this.

Towards the end it doesn`t even look like he`s aiming where the nails are landing.

It`s definitely fake. Some spots were popping up when the guy was clearly working on some other area. The nail belt didn`t move at all despite being connected to the nail gun, and he wasn`t moving his finger nearly fast enough as those nails were going in.

There`s quite a few of these videos with average construction workers doing "amazing" and talented/near impossible tricks. They`re all fake, generally made by the same person, and they all get on my nerves.

Im calling totally fake, i know enough about nail guns to know at a distance there not accurate, secondly look at the trajectory, there aim is so off with the direction that the picture is depicting was being stuck!

To the person who wrote the description:

Sistine Chapel.

And it was done by Michelangelo

Ok. I work with pneumatic nail guns i can tell you with some authority that the cylinder under the gun hold coils of nails. They come about 100 nails to a coil depending on the size. The point is the gun can not be fed from outside that cylinder. Secondly, nail guns have pressure actuated safeties so you can not do this with them. You CAN hold them down but they are about half an inch long and right at the point where the nail comes out, which is not where he is holding it. I wish this didnt piss me off as much as it does and I really dont know why but it does.

They did a horrible job at editing it, especially at this point...

Watch there from 56-58. You will see.. it is a fake.

watch the very end, notice how all of those nails have big flat heads. you cant fire a nail like that from a nail gun

Male 289
here are a list of things which make this fake.

1. the nail gun is firing in rapid full auto, yet his finger is going back and forth pulling the trigger much slower than the gus in actually firing

2. nail guns are NOT accurate if fired from a distance, and would be going in very random degrees.

3. he "keeps firing perfectly" while looking to his left and talking

4. Pneumatic nail guns (that`s air powered for those that are toll challanged) fire at a very hish speed, and a gun that small would fire very thin nails, further more, nails from a gun have no "head", both of these factors would cause the nails to fire strait thru the drywall that he is firing at.

thank you for listening
Dracobi, your local construction worker

Da Vinci didn`t do the Sistine Chapel, Michaelangelo did.

the sound of the "nail gun" doesn`t fit his finger, if you watch his trigger finger it`s not pulling at nearly the speed it sounds like it`s firing and his aim always seems like it`s off....I normally never call out fake, but I gotta say, this seems entirely faked to me

The idiot gives it away when he looks to his left and speaks while still "nailing" at full speed.

So obviously there`s no spell check before these links are posted...

Ok IAB, it`s Sistine Chapel. And I hope no one really think that Leonardo Da Vinci painted the chapel.

If so, WOW! The original artist was Piero Matteo d`Amelia (sp) and then it was given to Michelangelo. Anyway, the Vatican has to be one of the most amazing places on earth and the Sistine chapel is quite breathtaking.

haha. very nice. I don`t think their intention is to make you think it`s real, only to entertain. especially due to that terrible string of nails "hanging" from the gun. but i liked it.

I gotta say fake too but not because of the safety features or possible OSHA fines but because nails don`t have fins, which would be needed to fly straight.

This is fake, since all nail guns manufactured today have a depressor plate that needs to be in contact with a surface to operate. And if the safety mechanism is circumvented these guys would be fired and the company that the work for would be fined hundreds of thousands dollars for having a dangerous work site, and possibly other site code violations.

In other words, dangerous and stupid. The attempt to make it "look cool" is a `fail`.

I hate to say it... but I think this might be a fake any way. Unless that nail gun can fire a few nails at a time. Some parts it does a spread of what looks like 5-10 nails all at once when his doing the hair... or is it just me?
