Meh, the fact that it`s this style of dance (sexually suggestive at times) and that the outfits are suggestive of lingerie make it pretty tacky but on the other hand the outfits were a little less revealing than a bikini and the focus was supposed to be their dancing skill. I`d say it`s tacky and questionable but the only real perverts are the ones who watch this and only see the dirty things they want to see.

Well, I guess every generation needs it`s sluts and hoes. As long as their parents are ok, more power to them.

Some lonely frat boy will be very grateful for such moral-less parenting in about 10 years

Thats just wrong for so many reasons.

Im with you Oystah. I watched about 5secs of it and came straight to comment. I dont care how good they can dance, the parents should have some respect for there children.

PinkRhoid: No its sick to dress a child up like an adult and have them dance like that. Doesnt matter how you think or look at it.

No, but if one of my daughters (I have 2) wants to dance, then I say let her dance.

If it is as provocative as this, but done as tastefully as this, I wouldn`t complain.

I wouldn`t let them lapdance fool. That`s just a bit different.

SKILL. gotta say, i`d think twice before letting my kids do this, but honestly, i don`t think it`s that big a deal. this is completely different from a lap dance. a lap dance is specifically for the purpose of implying sexual activity and pretending interest. these kids are on a stage, they aren`t stripping, and it seems to be some kind of talent show or competition. there`s nothing wrong with letting your children show their skills in a controled environment and helping them feel like they dont need to be asahmed of doing something they enjoy.

auburnjunky: I am a father. Im 28yrs old and have a 5yr old. If you think keeping them from this is a sheltered life, then you got some issues. There is nothing wrong with letting your child be... well a child. No need to throw them into adult clothes and dancing moves to avoid them being "sheltered". Grow a brain, before you corrupt theirs.

There is just no good reason that they had to wear even skimpier outfits than the artist herself. This is basically a bra and panties, and made out of red satin and black lace at that. Worn with stockings, of course.

They are amazing dancer and I don`t even have a problem with the gyrating moves, but they really should have balanced that out with something that isn`t literally the type of thing that a stripper would wear. The only way they could be wearing less is if they were naked.

Whoever decided on these outfits is an idiot.

Why are you attacking me? I didn`t attack you. Now that I know you have kids, I respect you a little more, and I retract the comment I made about you questioning me..

Is your kid a boy or girl?

ALSO, what adult clothes? I`ve seen little league cheerleaders dress like this, and hike their skirts up, and all manner of things. If they were see through, or lingerie, I`d understand, but come on. It`s dance attire.

Anyway, I`m not gonna say you are a possessive, controlling father because of your views. Raise your kid as you see fit. The forums are not to attack, but to comment.

I hope a drop bear eats your face for being a dick though. have a nice day.

the saddest thing about this is because of a poor wardrobe choice, the time and effort that these girls obviously went through to produce this dance is ignored. The choreography and execution was exellent and the girls should be really proud. As for them being sexualised - I didn`t find them sexy at all.

Fantastic dance(rs), but I think it should be for an older group, maybe 15+. I know most people have issues with the outfits, and as they are skimpy, standard dance attire for kids isn`t much more than that. The only difference really is the mid-riff.

This isn`t a new thing, 15 years ago I used to dress like this and wear tons of make-up in our "pop" (now hip-hop) dance class and I never (nor did my friends) think we were sexy. We thought we were cute and playing dress up like Britney spears and Christina Aguilara. We never dressed up like this in the real world and knew it wasn`t acceptable. Are the costumes revealing yes, but when adults are out there targeting to this young of a crowd dressing like this what do you expect? Granted Beyonce`s target audience and this song is not targeted at 7 year olds but the choreography is fun and different so kinda hard to keep them away from it.

"This isn`t a new thing, 15 years ago I used to dress like this and wear tons of make-up"

its not what their wearing, we accept dance outfits border this, whats in question is how their dancing. popping their hips, bending flat over to show off butts, spread leg on the ground, simulating sex...they`re 7, most if not all haven`t started puberty (ie prepubescent aka pedophilia if you`re attracted to this). sadly, on that note, if these girls are performing nationally (which it appears so), then they`ll probably not start puberty until their late teens to early 20`s depending on their regime, most dancers are also gymnasts and we all know they`re purposely kept small.

The dance moves, gyrating, shimmying and others. Those moves aren`t appropriate for a 7 year old, thats the sort of thing you expect at a strip club...

They are amazing dancers, but the problem for me is in INTENT. Just like in beauty pageants, these girls are specifically being dressed and choreographed like that. The girls don`t know any different. They are just imitating pop stars, but what is okay for a 20 year old is not okay on a 7 year old.

They`re talented, and they do have great energy, but that doesn`t make up for the fact that that performance was VERY flawed. In several moments they`re practically tripping over each other. One of the girls over extended one of her spins, another girl damn near kicked one of the others. Oh, and let`s not forget this this is across the board disgusting. And we wonder why 14 year olds are getting pregnant, that`s what you get when you turn your 7 year old into a sexual being. Remember the good old days, when being a child was so easy?

"whats in question is how their dancing"

Again this is not a new thing. Video cameras and youtube has plastered this type of dancing all over the place bringing it to light but I can guarantee that dance studios have been encouraging their students to dance like this for years. Yes it is sexual in nature to be on the ground and spreading your legs and yes it will send the wrong message to people, but that is what has been done and the dance community now sees it as nothing more then dance moves and thinks that everyone else that finds it gross or disturbing is considered sick.

I will admit the bouncing up and down on their knees was too much but the everything else has been done and girls have moved on and lived their lives.

You know, that`s exactly it. If they`d been dancing to that wearing a leotard or something, it wouldn`t have been nearly as bad.

Coming from someone who has worked at a strip club, I`ve seen more clothing on strippers than those girls were wearing.

They were outstanding performers and there really was very little in the way of outlandish moves, however the person in charge of the dance should be beaten with a wet tuna.

Damn I wish I could have moved like that at any point of my life, though. Guarantee you`ll see at least one of those kids on the screen in the future.

it`s defo NOT just seen as a nonsexual dance move. I was a dancer, and i know, that`s sexual, and that`s why its wrong, but i also agree that the bigger issue here isn`t the dancing, it`s the costumes, that`s just slutty, it`d be slutty on a 20 year old, and on a 7 year old it`s just creepy

    That`s just... wrong.

Seriously, why are people saying that those who have a problem with it... are the ones with the problem? Police officers are trained to think like criminals so they have a better chance of catching them... doesn`t make them criminals themselves. We have to see things from a pedo`s point of view so that we can know how to better keep our own children away from these sick freaks.

It does NOT mean we`re all sitting here secretly going, "WOOOOO DADDY!!" It DOES mean that we realize that someone else might be thinking those thoughts... and may potentially act on them... and that frightens the holy hell out of us.

Yes that sort of dancing is all over the internet, but thats not the point. Whilst admitedly i`m not a parent, but i am an older brother who took care of my siblings whilst my parents worked their arses off. I didn`t allow my little sisters to go on the internet unsupervised, i watched TV with them so i knew what they were watching. Whether or not it`s available doesn`t make it right.

We have to see things from a pedo`s point of view so that we can know how to better keep our own children away from these sick freaks.

But that`s the problem lass, you don`t know how these people`s minds work. You`re trying to extrapolate how these people`s minds work from your own experiences.

You don`t have the experiences nor the empathy to understand what goes through a pedophile`s mind. Please realize that in most cases they were victims of abuse themselves who were never helped. Men who were abused usually become abusers, women usually seek out partners who are going to abuse. Happens with violence. Happens with sex.

You don`t have a frame of reference to think like them (you`re too "normal"), you don`t have the empathy to understand them (sick freaks). We`re so afraid of the idea of pedophilia that we don`t let people study the phenomena to find a better treatment or even combat the problem.

First off i would like to say that what they are wearing is def not age appropriate and i would like to meet the parents who agreed to dress them in those clothes and smack the poo out of the parents. That being sad, i was really impressed with their dancing. As suggestive as it might have been, they really know how to dance. I would say if they were dressed in like sweat pants and a hoodie then I could look past the suggestive dancing. It would be really sad if the girls knew that they were dancing in a suggestive manner, I hope for the little girls sake that they just view it as dancing and having fun and nothing else.

If my daughter was enrolled in that class, and the instructor said they were going to do that, I think I`d yank my child out of that class so fast, I`d wind up creating a wormhole or something.

No doubt these kids are good dancers, but they could have picked a much better song and costume styling to showcase their skills.

Sad thing is, next year, 5 groups will do the same thing, then the year after all the groups will do this, and it won`t be so "shocking" to this culture anymore, and one group would say, "Hey! How about we put on a shower show? Little Bessy can give the judges a lap dance! It`ll be soooo cool!"

The elbows were not the body part I was particularly concerned about. And there`s a world of difference between bathing suits and satin and lace underwear worn with knee high stockings. I said, I have no problem with the dancing or the song choice. I don`t have a huge problem with the clothes either, but it is just unnecessarily sexy for children.

The only problem here is the particular combo of age and outfit. Nobody would complain if they were 19, or if they were, y`know, covered, but this is kinda... sick.
That said, it`s obviously a very up - scale show they`re preforming in, and they are some AMAZING dancers, and not just for their age. Can you name anybody on the planet who can dance like that, disregarding celebrities?

I don`t think this is wrong or disturbing. It`s wrong if you get turned on, sure. But they are only emulating the only role models they have. It`s right for Beyonce(?), a grown woman, to dance around dressed like a whore, but the second her influential pop music makes little girls act like her it`s wrong?

Nah, I say let the kids do what their role models do. Maybe some of them will put a little clothes on. And if the parents minded, they wouldn`t have spent all that money on all those dance lessons (which are paying off, these little skanky bitches can dance)

again i`m going to say i`d think twice before letting my kids get involved in a show like this, but i resent the idea that keep popping up here that just because these girls can dance, and dance in a way that *certain* people might find provocative (the kids dont. they arent doing it to be sexy, they`re doing it because its fun and they get to be active with their friends), that they`re going to turn out to be strippers or sluts. its a dance, people. actually, if they stick with it and have it as an extracuricular that they`re really interested in, there`s a heck of a good chance they`ll be too busy practicing and going to competitions (and *gasp* maybe getting scholarships!) to sleep around. also, this doesn`t imply a bulemic or anorexic next step. any athlete of calibre knows that stupid things like that only screw up their performances and weaken their body. good nutrition is essential for the energy required for a good dance routine.

"I`m somewhat reminded of Donnie Darko..."
Me too @BenTheBug! And I love that movie, lolz! But the dance scene in it is far worse than this on the kiddie-porn scale. Also `Little Miss Sunshine` but that was funny, not (I hope) Pedobearish.
"but it is just unnecessarily sexy for children."
Well, I can`t argue with that @moefreak! I certianly agree that less risque clothing would be better.
"Nobody would complain if they were 19,"
@KanaLilly I`D complain! That they were wearing too much clothing! lolz! (only if they were 19, obviously)
AND I`m in agreement with @noni2ancy that just because they`re dancers they`ll automatically end up pre-teen pregnant sluts! With the endless hours their parents must have devoted to their kids` hobby, I`d think these girls are better looked after than most.
I`m so agreeable tonight! Must have a fever...

How many want to bet that the audience is composed of 98% pedofiles and 2% parents?

As far as preformance goes, they were good for their age, but far to fast/jerky/stiff during the routine and it all seemed a little rushed. They looked almost like they were spazzing out due to epileptic convulsions.

Well, someone already beat me to it, but I might as well anyway...

Thing is... I used to dance when I was a kid. I used to dance with girls like this. To us, there was nothing wrong...

It`s funny how time and more experience with the world can COMPLETELY change a kid`s point of view as they become an adult...

The dance was great, well coordinated and well performed... A little suggestive most certainly, but very good all around.

The outfits, on the other hand, were... Well, I`m not the first to mention that they made feel a little... Wrong, just for watching this...

Seriously, whoever did wardrobe for that dance studio should have their hard drive thoroughly checked.

Now, if they were about 10 years older...

Nah, I say let the kids do what their role models do.

    Here`s hoping that was sarcasm...

If not, the point is that Beyonce is an adult, and in her, what, early-mid twenties? (I don`t keep up with pop-idol BS)

What happened to "I wanna be like that when I grow up!"?

Anymore it`s "I wanna be like that NOW!" Which is why we have kids getting pregnant as early as middle-school... (true story, three girls pregnant in my local middle-school right now)

Seriously... The world seems to be forgetting that patience is a virtue...

All the crap aside, they were very good.

auburnjunky: "Just wanted to see how many of you were actually conservative. That`s all. :)"

I`ve very liberal and think this is wrong. You`re totally covering for something lol. ;)

Oh my... I`m ... just ... no. Parents and whoever taught them that need to stop. Besides all the things wrong with this I`m amazed at how well they danced though. Seriously though that is not okay.

The actual video for this song

Beyonce is more covered up in the actual music video for this song than those little girls were.

Frankly, little girls are going to be subject to this kind of sexual attention some day. So why care if parents don`t try to shield them now from the inevitable? It`s disturbing, sure, but whatever.

I`m sure I`m the only one who thinks this but our children have been under sexualized for too many years. For crying out loud, these little girls seem like they are having fun. Take a good hard look...they are having fun. Way different from the little girls who get forced into ballet cause their mommas want them to.

I find it very interesting how a lot of people assume that if you are exposed to sexuality at a "younger age" you are automatically predisposed to being a stripper or something of the like. Looking around however has taught me if you keep your children from sex and let them find out on their own....that is when it is worse. They grow up to have a skewed view of sex, full of misconceptions.
They also tend to grow up into under confident adults...always questioning how they look during sex. Sex is seen as so dirty, like it is some monstrous thing about to take us all over. Why can`t we all just chill the hell out.
