@fiizok:

No, the lawsuit was to determine whether or not they could claim "Fair and Balanced".

Not lying, from a certain point of view.

Fox is still the only "news" organization to have gone to court to defend their right to lie in their broadcasts. Unfortunately, they won.

Oh when she tried to work for the Military and they would let her because she was too tall.

That was like 20 years before she was a celebrity. Nice reach Madest.

@madest, that`s 4 you know about, how many don`t you know about? Wah Hah. :)

Julia Child was OSS I think, not a Spy. Though making cakes for the enemy is a great place to hide a mic or a camera.

"@madest:

Wait, what?"

Google it. I just did. She was a spy, of sorts. But, that was before she was Julia Child, let alone famous.

"Seems to me a prerequisite for being a Spy is a low profile..."
-------------
Should have told that to Julia Child, Aldrich Ames, Supreme Court Justice Arthur Goldberg or Chicago White Sox Catcher Moe Berg.

The comments section mentions Spy a few times and at the bottom they admit they edited it "Update 1:20 p.m.: An earlier version of this post had a headline we thought was too provocative." Really? You think so?

Seems to me a prerequisite for being a Spy is a low profile, become an intern in the White House, great Spy, Miss USA visiting Washington is gonna tend to stand out.

They sent your typecast dumb blonde (they thought) on stage and asked her a political question expecting the usual "ya know, I love, ya know, everyone" answer, turns out she aint dumb, actually has a brain and comes out with a great answer and it threw everyone. It`s on Youtube, the guy at the side of her has a look of "what the Hell are you talking about" on his face.

Great looking women with a brain and an opinion aren`t the stuff of Miss USA pageants I guess.

Arab Islamic terrorists aren`t capable of spying.

They`d be pretty easy to spot don`t you think?

Oh god Cameron.

What party is he again?

I ask, because he isn`t liberal, he isn`t conservative.

He`s some icky mish-mash of both.

I think it`s fake. The current headline for CNN`s article is just the first part. No "Or spy?"

Davy, the sun is definately bull. bravo!
I cannot believe how much they bummed cameron in the run-up to the election. Don`t they know who reads the sun? lots of working class people... who SHOULD vote Liberal because at the end of the day, Cameron doesn`t give a sh*t about them.
so, the sun can actually lick my assh*le.

Miss Oklahoma Morgan Elizabeth Woolard finished first runner-up to winner Rima Fakih of Michigan, and conspiracy theorists are grumbling that her support of SB 1070 may have cost her the crown.

When "The Office" star Oscar Nunez posed Miss Oklahoma a question about where she stood on Arizona`s SB 1070 Sunday night, the crowd erupted in boos over the intrusion of politics

"I`m a huge believer in states` rights. I think that`s what`s so wonderful about America," Woolard answered of the law which requires state police to stop and question possible undocumented immigrants. "So I think it`s perfectly fine for Arizona to create that law."

She got marked down for saying that, and so the other woman won. And the crowd booed the question, her answer got applauded.

Fox News is run by the right-wing Australian Media Mogul, Rupert Murdoch. This is the same guy that owns "The Sun" newspaper in the UK, a bullsh*t tabloid which is (for reasons I`ll never understand) the best-selling newspaper in the UK. This being the same guy that labeled President Obama as quote "suspicious, foreign, fearsome – just short of a terrorist".

Oh America, how your media has been hijacked by political hacks on one tit or the other. CNN or FOX, it`s all just bullsh*t with political agenda. I urge you to turn to the BBC, or some other such impartial news source.

Loxen.... non-profit doesn`t work either. Those not for profit groups have their own agenda`s and may not "lie" but will put forth untruths to prove their points. ... churches for example

There`s a few things I`ve always felt should be non-profit, Major news stations/websites/papers being one of them.
As long as your goal is to get viewers, you`ll do whatever it takes to keep people looking at you and not the competition.
Even if it means exaggerating the truth, playing off fears, or ignoring one tragedy over another simply because one is generating more interest at the time.
News is a business. Just like Oil, McDonalds, and Wal-Mart. Can you really expect it to be honest and fair in that sort of environment?

"CNN is no where near as bad as fox, but they are still a cable news network, and all cable news networks are pretty much garbage."

This. Just because one network is ragged on and rightfully blamed for being ultra-biased garbage, it doesn`t vindicate all of the others.

I for one am not shocked. It`s what to be expected from all news outlets anymore. This is what happens when you have multi million or billion dollar companies owning all the news outlets. They care more about this quarters earnings than they do the long term gains, and it ties the hands of journalists. Pull your collective heads out of the sand. All the news sources are biased. Left leaning companies are going to have left leaning news outlets and right leaning companies and going to right leaning news outlets. You`ve got the internet, try researching stuff for a change and get the truth about stuff.

i find the viagra hurting mens hearing funny... its cuz she screams too loud xD and of course she`s a spy!! pff, this is why i dont watch the news on a regular basis... people put too much opinion in it. i just want facts, not hair-brained theories and ludacris ideology.

Considering the fact that CNN recently hired an extreme right-wing lunatic who called Justice Souter a "goat f--king child molester," I`d say CNN is trying to out-Fox Fox News. They long ago jettisoned any remaining shreds of journalistic integrity.
