The NGP`s announcement won`t harm the 3DS much. Read about the predictions from a marketing strategist here.

Wow you made a DS with something the iphone/ipod touch can already do. Good one.

ok pretty sure you`re a troll but what the hell are you talking about proof1221? the GBC had backwards compatibility and the ability to add basic colour to GB games, the DS and DSlite both had GBA slots and chipsets in them, the Wii has the GC Chipset in it, also they`ve already announced backwards compatibility on the 3DS

nintendo are the one console manufacturer who do actually support backwards compatibility, the X360 backwards compatibility was barely functional and sony yanked ps2 support from the ps3 to cut costs

so "knowing nintendo" .....aww whats the use, you`re username is proof1221 but you make things up on the spot anyway, just kill yourself

Cool. Another thing to spoil our children with. Why don`t you go out and get them a nice laptop so they can update their facebook or an Iphone to call their friends, and maybe an HD TV to put in their room so they can watch softcore porn in 1080p.

Typical of a Nintendo product. Now everyone`s gotta buy the brand new DS that has this new feature that... Makes the DS look like a first grader`s shoe box display. It looks awesome but it`s useless. Outside of the "search for letters" game, where else would a 3D scene that moves when you move the DS be applicable? And it`s nothing entirely new, either. It`s just like a normal 3D game but it reacts to how the DS is positioned instead of pressing buttons. You won`t be seeing this used passed the release of the new DS.

When will Nintendo learn to make a handheld that has drating analog stick, or something similar? How am I supposed to play 3D games with 2D input?

This is the DSi with a game that is taking advantage of the camera, the 3DS will be announced at the E3 and will have a widescreen 3D screen.

Nintendo did indeed announce a 3DS set to be released in 2011.

This is just a motion sensitive game. As you tilt the game, the image rotates on the screen. If you were to keep your head positioned at the same angle as the screen, it would still look "3D" even though you are not seeing any other angle.

This isn`t the 3DS its a Japanese DSI game that has 3d effects and some suspect the 3Ds will work similarly.

i could be wrong, but i think that the screens are gone and they pasted something 3-d behind them that is why he never turns the game too much.

Oh Nintendo, maybe you shouldn`t focus on graphics and spiffy things like working out and just focus on gameplay.

That being said, mhtri.

Yeah I just can`t imagining this working in many games, because all you really have is the touch screen, D-Pad, and Left Trigger. It`s cool sure, but I don`t think it would work that great in games.

yea, this is just a DSi ware game.

The fact of the matter is, the only difference between this system and the DSi is a simple motion detector (something that could potentially be achieved using the DSi`s camera anyway). If the games they make for it make good use of it like what is shown in this teaser video, then it will be cool, but Nintendo has a bad rep for making systems with cool ideas that flop miserably because the games they make for them don`t use the hardware to its full potential.

I dont see how this would be implemented in any sort of game. The person`s hands arent anywhere near buttons, so you cannot interact with this 3d environment.

Not the 3DS. Seriously. It even says it right there, "Please Note this is not a video of the Nintendo 3DS, But the game shown on the DSi uses the DSi camera to create a 3D effect and could be what Nintendo use in the 3DS."

The 3DS isn`t supposed to be anything like this. My friend once linked me to an article on the technology they`re using on it, because Nintendo did not develop it. If I could find it I`d link it here.

I now want a DSi...

I`ve always been content with my original DS... But now...

Can`t wait to see what they use that tech for in the future. Here`s hoping it`s a little more awesome than a search and find game...

"Why would anyone want this? 2 Screens with a bar of plastic between them. Why not just get a PSP?"

Well... For one thing, the touch screen is pretty fun in some games...

For another... I have a PSP too... And they both have their good and bad points, soo... Yeah, don`t go starting that debate.
