This man has a very carefully crafted image and will resort to measures of coercion if it becomes threatened.

Considering that GW Bush `won` his first presidency term thu fraud, any election there after will also be fraudulent, regardless of the "openness" of the process there after. Until the correction of the first error occurs; everything else will be based on lies. And lies a democracy dose not make.

If (President == Bush) THEN (Dissent = Highest Form of Patriotism);

If (President == Obama) THEN (Dissent = High Treason);
"The most transparent white house ever?"
This is a comparative statement.
No Baalth, this is another campaign PROMISE which Obama has broken. So semantics aside, it`s still 100% accurate sarcasm.
@PhantomX9 in the past, even if the park area is sealed off to the public due to unruley protesters, the media has still been allowed in, most of the time. (unless gunfire is involved I think, which it clearly was not here)

"The most transparent white house ever?"

This is a comparative statement. To make it, you need to compare it to previous administrations. Not to some ideal.

"Least painful accidental castration" is compared to other "accidental castrations" to see if it is the "least".

The question is not "does it hurt".

Anyway, maybe not the most transparent White House EVER, but it compares favourably to its predecessor.

"Looked like park officials, not government agents or anything of that sort."

Yeah -- it "looked" like that, didn`t it?

I don`t think it was the White House that did that...
Looked like park officials, not government agents or anything of that sort.

I`ll bet if Tea Party protestors had handcuffed themselves to the fence the MSM would have been allowed to stay -- flaming in 5, 4, 3, 2....

@pui, there were Gay rights people chaining themselves to the fence to protest "Don`t Ask Don`t Tell" (a Clinton policy) which Obama PROMISED to overturn, but hasn`t.
vv @pmarren Poor fellow, here`s the eye-bleach!

D`oh! Dammit! I just suggested this!
Lolz, gotta cram a lot into my lunchbreak eh?
But yeah, rogue, lone-nut Parkie did this ALL on his own, and so did the other 6-8 parkies who did the same thing at the same time... (with the other areas that must have been pushed back too, or else the reporters would just walk 1 block over and have full access, eh?)

They`re not just pushing the reporters back, they`re also pushing other spectators back. They have nothing against recording the demonstrators, they just need to keep them safe.

Wait a minute was that poetry I just wrote?

_kiersten_: The only press `rule`, Mentioned on CNN this morning, Was "No Tripods". The cops have closed the park before, But they`ve always allowed the press to stay.

I love how some people make excuses for the policy makers when they step all over their rights like that. It should make it a lot easier for them when they decide to turn the barbed wire `inward` at the border, so instead of keeping people out of the US, they can keep you in. lol

Meh. Reporters are annoying as f*ck anyways. I can`t feel bad for them at all. That, and who wants a bunch of reporters just chilling in front of the White House like that? Like rman said, I am sure DC has strict rules concerning who gets close to the White House...Seeing as how it holds the President to our country.

Rman1201: According to the reporters this sort of thing is unprecedented. I`m guessing they didn`t want the press taking pictures of the protesters getting arrested.

Quick question IAB, why are the spammers allowed to post larger pictures than I can?

And no, this has nothing to do with first amendment rights. If that was the case there would be arrests for dissenting opinions.

D.C. just has strict protest guidelines, especially in front of the white house for obvious reasons. Obama is even in favor of repealing don`t ask don`t tell, so I just don`t get how this shows his administration trying to quiet opposition - they`re on the same side.

Believe me...the people currently in the White House don`t give a DAMN about the 1st Amendment, unless it`s for their purposes.

In fact, the entire Constitution is negotiable, in their eyes.
