Don`t get me wrong I love my 3rd generation iPod (which I refuse to trade in for a new model), but Apple are a joke.

I call a huge "B.S." on the iPhone being lost in a bar... total publicity stunt. Sure, Apple let some intern just take the thing out of headquarters, and then didn`t have them killed when they lost it. Pbbssshh.

theres no way it was actually lost either this whole thing is a setup by apple or well thats all it could be. apple has been around way to long to make stupid mistakes like letting prototype equipment out of the building or lab

sounds like a marketting ploy by apple, what better way to spark a release than to have "unwanted" sneak peaks. personally I hate the new look, the curves made sense in your hand, I can see this becoming annoying for anyone to hold for long periods of time.

when the article says "apple blocked us out" unless they were trying to update the phone apple/att phones aren`t like CDMA phones where you can actually blockout the phones, even CDMA phones can still power up and if the phone uses the basic ipod dock theres no way they wouldn`t just power it up. again, points to marketing scheme

I would read the entire article, but I don`t pay enough attention to the iPhone to really know what`s different. :-/ So it`s not like I will understand or be interested in most of it.

saw this a couple of days ago, aparently gizmodo payed $5000 for it when it was found in a bar. I think it looks poo. I was never a fan of iPhone anyway, but with the rise of HTC iPhone killers now, style was a major factor.

Loving the Android keytag and Microsoft pen in the second video.

The fact that they remotely froze the phone is the exact reason I will never "buy" an Apple product. I bought my Android phone and it is now mine. You buy an Apple phone and Steve "Hand" Jobs can still mess with it.

...Why did they even have a prototype out. Also, how didn`t they get this back right away. Oh well I guess. Still interesting if its real.

Modern strategies of redesigns:

If it is soft in the edges and corners, make it sharp or sharper.

If it is sharp in the edges and corners, make it soft or softer.

Alternate between the two every now and then.

I`ve hated Apple since they said I have to pay for an update I don`t need and wouldn`t just let me download the most recent free update. .\_/.

Because apple employees always carry around top secret prototypes of technology wanted by millions and take them into bars, right?

you know, I just can`t stand apple anyway. After that crap where they nuked jail broken iPhones, I was confirmed that I don`t want anything to do with them.

Apple promises this time the iphone will not
`
1. crash all the time
2. be hosted by the worst network ever
3. be controlled by apple even after you buy it (they are)
4. have the same features as EVERY other phone which is to say the ihpone is missing some pretty basic poo that EVERY other smartphone has

5. and most importantly they promise all the above promises are BS and they will continue to build and sell you crap that you think is worth buying because it is an iphone when in reality most andriod phones will whoop its ass...al la droid, cliq, mytouch, any thing by htc, mytouch (also htc) etc

Definitly a full on marketing tactic. Why? because apple are notorius for secrecy and copyrights. They would have sued the hell out of that site and the editor, and tied it up in so much legal tape, it would have NEVER come back online again.

"That was a brilliant marketing play by Apple. "

Agreed. Otherwise Apple would have had their guards, or nerds, or whoever does the dirty work have those people who found it killed, and then implement some mind erasing beam to forget we ever saw it.
