"I`m torn. The geek in me says: awesome! Meanwhile, the practical part of me asks: really? A replacement for walking?"

I have incredible difficulty walking but am not at the point I would want a wheelchair. Having this as an accepted way of getting around inside would improve my life quite a lot. I`d be able to get up easily and get some motion in, but not have to walk when I am in pain. Also, it is less space-consuming than wheelchairs (esp. motorized ones) and encourages a bit more physical effort, making the obesity less of an issue, one would think.

i think it`s more as a show of their technological "power" (for lack of a better word), not a commercial thing. kinda like segaways, no one actually uses those things, it was basically just "hey, look what we made!"

The only problem in the American market is, its clearly not for "heavy" people
~~~~~~
Is that a bad thing?
~~~~~~
No. We need less mobility assistance devices and more "get up and do it your damned self, fatty!" devices.

I wanna see UX-3 races! But I agree with Mimbles, it would be a great office chair. Until it died and dumped you over.

what the hell is the point of this thing? as if people are fat and lazy enough as it is...there is no possible reason that a fully amblatory person should use this POS device.

I doubt it would be viable for people that need a medical device ie walker, scooter, etc as it has no restraints, small seat, and let`s face it, most people that use a rascal are gaint fatties and won`t be able to fit even one butt check on that thing...

no sir I don`like it one bit! now, go out and expercise fatties!

"I don`t get the whole `achieve` thing"
"Me either, yet I`ve seen it a lot lately. Must be the new "cool thing.""

Actually, I`m pretty sure it`s referring back to the old "I have achieved an erection" meme started by our very own Akappy.

Old, but whatever...

"It`s not replacing walking its replacing chairs."

But do you honestly believe people will limit their use of this thing to a replacement for chairs? REALLY?

Anyways... Looks pretty fun, to me.

In the land of Honda 3x, those who retain the use of their legs are king.

Neat. Maybe some sort of control on the footrests to make it spin and you`ve got the perfect office chairs!
