I hope they realize that. Log in to Reply 520 Male 13-17 431 posts April 1, 2010 at 1:53 pm but what if you forget your glasses? just use your car to read everything. Log in to Reply DGbME Male 40-49 451 posts April 1, 2010 at 2:26 pm PREscription, not Perscription Log in to Reply Rick_S Male 40-49 3282 posts April 1, 2010 at 2:26 pm I`m calling april fools joke. If it would work, which I doubt, the only person who could drive the car would be the person who had the prescription. Also, you don`t need bifocals to see distances, only close up. Closer than the windscreen/windshield. Lastly, putting them in airplanes would be out of the question. That would mean only one pilot could fly the plane. And, most of the time pilots are flying by instruments, and not by sight, so they don`t even need to look out the window. (It`s called instrument flight rules, I think.) Log in to Reply Lionhart2 Male 40-49 8306 posts April 1, 2010 at 9:40 pm Rather obvious April Fools joke - anyone who has glasses/contacts would know that instantly. Distance is VERY specific - even when your glasses slip to the end of your nose, or you look through the non-centre part of the lens, everything goes out of focus. And you`re suggesting a window 3 feet away and 6 feet wide? C`mon. At least make the jokes slightly believable. Log in to Reply Elriuhilu Male 18-29 275 posts April 1, 2010 at 10:32 pm if anyone remembers that awful mr. magoo movie starring leslie nielsen, he had a prescription windscreen in his car. It was a foot thick. Log in to Reply MechaWolf Male 18-29 315 posts April 2, 2010 at 12:40 am I thought this was an April Fools joke on how they are letting Douches into British car racing, but apparently it was just one about windshield glasses. Log in to Reply bataleon27 Male 18-29 1178 posts April 2, 2010 at 1:37 am read the eye chart.. It was pretty obvious to be honest. There are so many flaws in that idea. Most people have 2 different prescriptions for their eyes. What about side windows, rear windscreen, what if you needed to window down etc... Log in to Reply xxPinkxx Female 18-29 3829 posts April 2, 2010 at 4:01 am Ya this would defenitely not work. what about the other windows and mirrors? or if someone else borrows your (non race) car? would be awesome if it DID work, though.
