Tired of the hassle and chore of remembering your glasses when you drive? You aren"t going to need them anymore.

Ya this would defenitely not work. what about the other windows and mirrors? or if someone else borrows your (non race) car?

would be awesome if it DID work, though.

read the eye chart.. It was pretty obvious to be honest. There are so many flaws in that idea. Most people have 2 different prescriptions for their eyes. What about side windows, rear windscreen, what if you needed to window down etc...

I thought this was an April Fools joke on how they are letting Douches into British car racing, but apparently it was just one about windshield glasses.

if anyone remembers that awful mr. magoo movie starring leslie nielsen, he had a prescription windscreen in his car. It was a foot thick.

Rather obvious April Fools joke - anyone who has glasses/contacts would know that instantly. Distance is VERY specific - even when your glasses slip to the end of your nose, or you look through the non-centre part of the lens, everything goes out of focus. And you`re suggesting a window 3 feet away and 6 feet wide? C`mon. At least make the jokes slightly believable.

The first thing i thought when i saw this was "this is completely retarded and it`s not even physically possible..." and i was right. Can`t they make up SOMETHING slightly believable?

I`m calling april fools joke. If it would work, which I doubt, the only person who could drive the car would be the person who had the prescription. Also, you don`t need bifocals to see distances, only close up. Closer than the windscreen/windshield. Lastly, putting them in airplanes would be out of the question. That would mean only one pilot could fly the plane. And, most of the time pilots are flying by instruments, and not by sight, so they don`t even need to look out the window. (It`s called instrument flight rules, I think.)

Okay, good idea but....

What does it do to the resale value? I`d imagine it drops it to $0.

I think thats pretty neat, but they cant stop at just the front windscreen, they`d need to do ALL windows of the car. I hope they realize that.

I was a little tispy, but my 4-eyed friend was totally drunk, so I had to drive his car. I knew that that first time mother and newborn baby splattered all over the winshield were closer than they actually were!

So if your prescription changes you don`t just need to replace your glasses but your windshield aswell? :\

Also I guess you can`t share a car anymore!
