OK, How about everyone take 50% pay so that more of their colleagues are saved.

Between 2008-11 and 2009-09, I and the other executives and workers in my place did just that.
    Business saved.

Actual fact: The Governator doesn`t accept any government pay.

So, where is all this money going to come from? The state can`t borrow or print money like the federal government is doing. If they raise taxes even more, business and high income earners will continue to leave the state.

It`s hard to blame these celebutards, though. They`ve been taught by our Community-Organizer-in-Chief that the way to solve problems is simply to demand solutions.

Obama demanded that Gitmo be closed in a year without having a clue as to how to do it. He demanded a stimulus bill to keep unemployment under 8%. How did that work? Now he`s demanded that we ensure 32 million people without increasing costs. He`s demanded that insurance companies write policies on people after they get sick or hurt without raising rates. He`s demanded increased taxes on medical devices without raising prices. He`s demanded that doctors take less for their services without any of them quitting. So, how do you think that`s going to work?

    Well wtf?!
If 17 billion dollars have been cut, then why don`t we just legalize cannabis, tax, and regulate. will get us 21$ billion in tax and revenue. This makes no sense, unnecessary cuts for the educational system, when you have the resources available to fix it, 21$ billion to our educational system would be pretty good, and it would make sure kids can learn and have fun doing it.

Also Legalizing cannabis would provide hundreds of thousands of jobs for people; people to take care of plants, clipping the buds off, curing the buds, packaging and shipment and so on. Also hemp should be legalized, if it were still legal, thought, I really think we wouldn`t be in this mess. -.-

You fail to understand that Arnie and the Republicans in California, not to mention the recession Bush launched - are the primary cause of California`s budget woes.

Speaking as someone who lives and votes in California.

And of course, the midwest is hardly any better off - - -

@Heureux: You seem to think I am a republican? How misinformed. The californian government is worse than the federal government. As they say, so goes California so goes the nation. I mean they were thinking of banning swearing?

Actually California has the highest debt of any state in the Union. So clearly everyone else is better off. At least here in MN we actually balance our budget.

The recession Bush launched? Bush made a bunch of mistakes, but at least blame him for the ones he did do. No, the recession wasn`t Bush`s fault. Clinton had more to do with the current state of the economy than Bush. It was under Clinton when legislation was passed to make sure everyone got a house, regardless of whether they can afford the mortgage, then the bad debt was spread around to all of the banks. Bush was sort of busy with starting an unnecessary war, working to circumvent the Constitution, and coming up with legal reasons to validate torture.

Also: 1. Pull out of Iraq, cut a bit from the military budget and put it into education.
    2. Legalize cannabis, tax it for 7 billion dollar profit country-wide, not taking into account the reduction in money the DEA spends on enforcing the drug war. Put it into education.

Really, the NAEP, really?! I actually took that test twice, and it is a joke! They give it you, explain that it`s completely anonymous and that it does not reflect at all upon you. It is absolutely pointless to the students who take it. I took it in 8th grade and as a senior, both classes being very smart, and no one I know, including the top in both classes took it seriously or thinks it actually would actually depict them accurately. It`s a crap way to judge education. Even still, of course funding alone does not solve problems; that`s simply throwing money at a problem. Funding is necessary, however, to improve education by hiring good teachers and more importantly by giving those teachers the necessary resources.

I know this isn`t the point, so don`t go biting my head off, but the whole time I was wondering what the hell they were doing in the school to begin with, and then he mentioned his son. I never saw Megan Fox as someone who would date a guy with a kid. Or are they not really dating and that`s just part of the act? Does he really even have a kid? I`m lost...

I find it kind of sad that California has been in this steady downward decline in terms of their economy way before Arnold was governor yet where were Megan Fox and Brian Austin Greene then?

Also guess what Megan and Brian you do not have to live in California. There are many other states you can live in that don`t have California`s budget problems. In all fairness to Brian Austin Greene I can understand not wanting to leave because all of his daughters friend and it would be hard for her going to a new school. But sometimes you have to do what is best for her. Also in all honesty with the amount of money he probably has he can`t afford to send her to a better school? I understand their complaints but I have no sympathy for either of them.

Hey, remember all those elections where measure were added to the California ballot with catchy titles that sounded like the right thing to do? Well, like most Californians, you probably did not read all of what the bill proposed and just voted "yes". Time and time again, those measures stated, in "legal mumbo jumbo", that we would basically be borrowing against our children`s futures. Time and time again, Californians approved those measures. Guess what? It is time to pay up. Poor Arnold is the fall guy for Californians wanting everything and not paying for it. Countless news stories have aired, here in California, on local news stations that have been warning about our budget problems for well over a decade. You know what measure have always been shot down here in California? The measures that try to pay for things with increased taxes.

Moral of the story: If you want something, be prepared to PAY for it!

Oh and BTW, now Meg Whitman will probably be the next Governor of California. Guess how she, a fiscal conservative, plans on fixing our problems. If you guessed "with a machete", you get a gold star! If you think government programs are suffering now, wait until Meg tries to actually balancing the budget, LOL.
