    that cat is dead. There`s no way it wouldn`t wake up, cat`s never get into the REM state of sleep which is why its so easy for them to wake up. I can`t get within one foot of my cat before it wakes up.

    OBJECTION! I used to have 2 cats. Now, I don`t remember about my first one but I could always get close to my second one, touch it and do other things with it and it wouldn`t wake up.

    Cats can enter REM sleep. They can also dream. One of my cats, when she gets into a deep sleep, won`t wake up even if you drop a TV in the same room. And I have done something like this before only I stacked marshmallows on her stomach because she was on her back. Stayed that way for 20 minutes before she woke up because I accidentally nudged the kitty bed.

    @Avery

    hahah are you under the impression that the cat`s in pain? Nothing in the picture suggests to me the cat`s in any kind of distress. My cat should be, she`s been lying across my ankles, on her back for the last half hour ._.!!! crazy cat.
