Strictly speaking, isn`t there no centripetal force either? Centripetal acceleration is the result of other forces, the sum of which is directed perpendicular to the axis of movement and towards the center of curvature.
And to hi2pi:I actually learned the correction in middle school. :) Maybe some people went to crappy schools where they weren`t taught the term at all?
Thats about 15p or 20cents. I love India, the health and saftey brigade just doesn`t exist out there. I saw a guy working on a sloping roof about 5 stories up and he had a saftey rope, but it was in his hand. Not tied to him in any way and he just kept putting it down and working away.
That and you can see how few people were actually watching the show-like 30 people tops-it just wouldn`t be very profitable here if everybody was just paying three bucks per ticket. After one or two visits the novelty would wear off and you`d go spend your money some place else...and they`d go out of business.
But in that country there probably aren`t a ton of other options for entertainment, so people repeatedly go to the show week after week, allowing it to be a legitimate business.
It`s not just you. At one point, you can see the spectators` area shaken by a passing vehicle. So it`s rickety. Which makes it more awesome.
I understand how this works.
I wouldn`t do it.
Sorry, physics classes have made me a bit frustrated about people using them wrong.
It`s that it look like it`s made of rickety wood... I mean, at the bottom you can see all the cracks and how it looks like it was put together my high schoolers.
