for mole day, my teacher had someone read this kid`s book "the story of the little mole who went in search of whodunit" which consisted of a mole getting shat on, then proceeded to ask all of the animals around him if they did it, and they proved it was not them by pooping for him. he finds out it was a dog after asking two flies to inspect the poo that has been sitting on his head the entire head, then proceeds to poo on the dogs head.

This read more like a short story.
It may not have actually been intended for young children but for teenagers who are confused about there lives.
Probably came from a psychologists office.

Then Uncle Pete got a knock on the door and it was the police. Uncle Pete tried to run but they caught him jumping out a window and hit him with a baton then tasered him. That was cool. Now he`s in jail getting shanked with a bed spring while I`m at home living the good life. Yeeha....

@CODEJOCKEY:

You obviously did not read the book, or the blog or even all the comments made. Plus you quoted me way, wayyy out of context by taking the part of what I said that suited your need to piece together your half-assed attempt at something witty.

You fail, idiot. Now would you like to actually read the drating book and try again?

"As a straight guy, I must apologize to the gay men and women out their, for our behaviour."

Your apology is appreciated and acknowledged by me. However, I can only accept the apology for myself, I cannot speak for others.

somethin tells me this book is supposed to help kids that $h!+ like this has happened to. i guess it would really screw a kid up. my father was never around but it didnt make me gay by any stretch of the imagination, and if you`re naive enough to let your uncle touch you ur f**ked to start with

"I don`t think this book is designed to teach..."

Yes, clearly, this book is designed to teach children:
1. You may feel gay, but that`s just because you seek the attention of your father.
2. If your father apologizes for jerking you off as an adolescent, you will both gain the power to not be a gay adult.

What it avoids:
1. Your dad is just effing gay and hurting people by not admitting it so he can go find someone to be gay with.
2. Your mom is an effing sheep for not calling him out about being gay AND forcing himself on you.

That is horrific! And is it implying that all gay people just weren`t loved by their dad?

Yep, I`m with Lionhart2 on this one. Especially the way the disgusting paedophile gets away with a stern talking to from a councellor and is left free to threaten other kids. That has church written all over it.

Homosexuals have a much higher rate of being the victim of incest as a child. They also have a higher rate of committing incest.

The Statistics

That doesn`t mean all homosexuals have been molested or are potential molesters, But there is statistical evidence that there is a `causal` relationship.

I dont think this book is for like mainstream kids, people. its obviously for kids who have been mollested.
when i was little i has a book that explained divorce. " mom and dad both still love you," etc. obviously it wasnt something my teacher read to the freaking class.

^ Don`t forget, that is also a generalisation, therefore it is also wrong. ;P

I don`t think this book is designed to teach young people that "gayness is a learned thing". Instead I am pretty sure that this is a circumstantial book written to help young people who may have had similar problems. I know this because I had similar problems growing up as many, many people have. I remember reading similar books and they really helped provide a perspective.

It is unbelievable how ignorant many of you are being regarding this book and the blogger is an idiot as well.

If you find the book "strange" then perhaps you have not had anything similar happen in your life and good for you. But if this helps people which I would bet it has, then why knock it?

It was because of a book like this that I finally told my counselor what happened to me. A few years later I was no longer a troubled young boy.

Well that explains soooo much. So the next time I meet someone who`s gay, I`ll make sure to tell them that I`m sorry their dad hates them, and that it`s too bad they had sex with their uncle. Whew...

"Why do I feel like some homophobic Christian group published this.."
I`m thinking the same thing. It`s good to make sure that children understand the difference between "good touch, bad touch" but the whole thing about the counselor telling him he`s not gay but thinks he is because of abusive dad`s and uncles seems out of line and preachy.
This book is also poorly written even for a kids book.

Okay, someone who takes the time to illustrate page 7 should have enough time to consider, "Do we really need this in a CHILDREN`S book?"

If they just would have stopped to think for a second, this kind of thing could be avoided.
