Pretty accurate. What`s interesting is that it`s from Brazil, yet the trends are mostly accurate for the US as well.

Imma have to disagree with some of these. Keyboard cat was way before 2009, and Facebook didn`t really get popular until late 2007. Also, where was Xbox360 vs PS3!?

"3. 2 Typos 1 Sentence = Gross."

for someone who`s primary language is not english, give him some slack as the rest is mostly comprehensible.

"See what I did below? I made a 2G1C joke while discussing a Brazilian topic... smart hunh? "

not really, you`re just showing how immature you are

What pisses me off isn`t that it`s in Portugese/Brazilian, whatever.

It`s that it is based on Brazilian trends of what was hot that year. I have no idea what a bunch of those things are, not because I can`t decypher the language, but because the issue probably didn`t affect North America.

Also, "even thought the graph is completely understandable even if your illiterate" is fail.
1. The graph is MOSTLY understandable.
2. I`m not illiterate.
3. 2 Typos 1 Sentence = Gross.

did we have one of these before, except in english?

also, WoW was never the "game" trend of the year?

Gortrok: `Brazilian` is not a language, as `Argentinian` is not either. Although we do have many cultural differences in language (as do British English and American English), the rules are exactly the same, specially considering the Portuguese reform two years ago that was instated in every Portuguese-speaking country (yes, there are more of us).

Please, do not take this as so-called `flaming`. I am simply enlightening some of you that do not know of said facts, though I hold no grudge against such lack of admitably unimportant knowledge.

It`s even easier to understand it, even though it is a foreign language to most of you, due to the fact that most of those words were actually assimilated (some even downright copied) from English, as we (Brazilians I mean) care a lot about being `in`.
What most of us fail to realize is that being `in` depreciates national culture. Fortunately, I, for one, am not a fervorous patriot, and thus do not care much.

B) Haven`t we seen this before, but in English?

"Two things that piss me off:

1. It`s in Spanish. "

One thing that pisses me off: people that get pissed off at any foreign language, even thought the graph is completely understandable even if your illiterate. Also, it`s in Portuguese.

"know how"
"and that were the 00`s"

"viral videos, omnipresent sites, technological trends, new devices and ways of expressing ourselves and commuincate. the first decade of the century in a picture."

hardware / meme / web 2.0 / in brazil / website / culture / games / fail / trends / google

the 2000 fail is the millenium bug (i believe the 99/00 date bug)
2002 hardware is a sd card (doh)
2003 culture is "games takeover films"
2003 fail is RIAA lawsuits whoever downloads
2003 google: google buys blogger

the other stuff in portuguese is like brazil related, so its not interesting nor relevant i believe.

It`s actually Brazillian. It`s loads different from normal Portuguese. You might`ve gotten a clue from the fact that it says BRASIL all over the thing -.-`

there`re no spanish translations, because it`s portuguese.

I haven`t been back to Brasil since 07 (for 5 weeks) so most of that I don`t really know. Look at the icons though, they`re pretty self-explanitory.
