And what on earth? How the heck did he think that was going to go unnoticed? Maybe for high-schoolers that would be okay, but not little kids.
That`s all kinds of messed up.
Oh dude...I am so sorry you had to go through that. *hugs* That is all kinds of f*cked up.
Furthermore, it`s one thing to call someone a loser, another to do it on a paper they did very badly on.
When someone is distraught over receiving a bad grade, THEN is not the time to be cracking "loser" jokes. Hell, I`m in college and I can`t stand it when a teacher gives me a B- and writes in a passive aggressive tone that I should have picked a better topic matter. This is just ridiculous
When I was in Middle School my art teacher was somewhat like this. She`d literally tell 10 - 12 year old kids that their art "wasn`t good enough" or couldn`t even be considered art.
Thankfully, they fired her.
Yeah I`ve seen enough. That`s inappropriate.
I had a 5th grade teacher that was very mean, would make me cry in the middle of class and everything, so cruelty in the classroom tends to hit close to home.
A better phrase to write? "Almost, try again." or "Good effort." You`re supposed to be teaching them to learn from their mistakes, circling the mistake and telling them where they went wrong is one way, and sitting down with them and explaining the mistake so they understand is another.
Writing "Loser" isn`t going to get them anywhere.
iv had worse said to me by a teacher :/
