Wow. Nice crowd guys. c",) Very nice people, nice going.
Oh well, let`s all just pick on Norwice. He probably deserves it?
I still don`t think that putting braille on a billboard is at all awkward or funny. Quite the opposite, it`s cool - I mean, the guy`s blind, so promoting braille could be very appropriate. Maybe you didn`t know that? So I don`t think this is what the Fancylad meant when he posted this and asked if you could spot the pic`s flaw.
Let`s ask him, I don`t know!
And no GnOm3, I don`t "think" that he`s holding a bong, nor do I actually recall having used one. Perhaps because I`m still "in the closet" Saskuel? Ehm... Ok...
But I STILL think it looks like he`s smoking something if you just look a little bit closer than usual. I`m not going to draw a picture though, if you haven`t see this by now then fine by me.

I`m so sorry for causing you people headache, maybe I`ll do it again sometime.

June 26th of what year? I couldn`t find the year on the outdoor. June 26th was a Friday some year.

They put his name in Braille, under his name in normal characters. But who has giant hands and can reach the outdoor to touch it and read the Braille?

I hope this doesn`t become a standard (Outdoors in Braille for the Blind). We`d have a lot of blind people climbing outdoors.

They probably took that logo from a CD cover or something.

Norwice, if you think that is a bong, you have some problems.

Ok SmilinSam. Nice meeting you.
No imagination... check.
A bit boring probably... check.
Ready to criticize... check.

I still say this looks like he`s holding a bong, with smoke and everything.
Anyone with me on this?

@ LtFurpie
Most people might mention the brail on a sign. But here in America, that`s a common practice. We have braile on Drive up ATM`s.

I always wondered if that was because they use the same machines or face plates for the drive up ATMS as they do for atms in stores and gas stations....just a thought

Think Ray Charles but with a voice that can actually sing.

In case anyone is wondering, it says "Stevie Wonder". I`m so bored I just gave myself a neat Braille lesson while trying to decipher it lol. It literally reads "(capital letter next), St, e, v, i, e, space, (capital letter next), W, o, n, d, er". ST and ER are one symbol apparently.

perhaps the braille image is his logo?

My guess is that the same image was used for promotional material of various sizes. It`s possible if you use a vector format for an image - those can be scaled up to any size without loss of quality, so an image designed for a flyer can be easily scaled up to hoarding size. The braille is printed as well as embossed (or else it would be the background colour), so the image includes the braille.

Actually zarc0 the braille is not a "fail" as you state. It uses grade 2 braille which uses abbreviations. the first symbol is ST followed by E V I E then W O N D ER. the single dot before the ST and the W say to Capitalize the first letter.

ha smart asses, but who said this was this year? it was probably last year. the real problem is putting braille on a billboard because a singer is blind is just a dumb advertising technique that helps nobody except 100ft tall blind giants.

nothing wrong with the blind word things.. it is not supposed to be readable or feelable for that matter and I am certain that it`s not even printed on relief.. it is basically to remember stupid people who can see that this guy, stevie wonder, is a blind guy.. yes.. some people don`t know that.. or they don`t know the name and say "hey cool, thats the blind guy from the simpsons"..

The real flaw is that SW`s head is not as big as the moon, and he wouldn`t be able to play the harmonica in space.
