K3vin "should have challenged him to a duel"

Apparently he did challenge him to a duel, and Read "refused to [him] that satisfaction, which as an honorable man,...he was bound to give."

In other words, he refused to duel OR apologize, hence he`s a Coward and a Scoundrel.

@ leesah that is not Old English Old English is the language used by the celts and later by the saxons and it looks nothing like modern day English that is simply using different word choices

But what if the original insult was well deserved? Should not this man then be considered the scoundrel? Just because you demand an apology doesn`t mean you deserve one.

"At this juncture, I would like to retort directly to Mr. Wm Tradewell. I was unable to apologise to you sir, as I was domiciled with your mother at the time, and was fornicating therewith in a manner not dissimilar to a barn door blowing in a strong gale. Good day, sir."

Gen. Leigh Read.

Not a single one of you young people who think yourselves so in the right as to denounce others on this internet hold a match to the class in the art of denouncement presented here by Mr. Tradewell.

I think revdrdark, that by `not giving him satisfaction` the general had refused him a duel, hence him being a coward

Having read Mr. Tradewell`s placard with the assertion that general Read is both a coward and a scoundrel, I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Tradewell himself is a dickless wonder and so make a statement to that effect here on IAB this 23rd day of March 2010.
