With the amount of cash he must have to be able to afford a setup like that, i`m pretty sure he gets laid a LOT more than you do.
Same reason that people need 80+" televisions.
How will he snipe??
actually, it is 15fps. really. and I`m not surprised, if you take the resolution into consideration
The normal person in me is saying "whoa!! Someone`s overcompensating!" >.<
See...thats just silly.
Gaming is very much normal these days. However..there are some gamers who take it to the extreme. He (or she) is, in reality, no diffrent from all the boy racers who soup up their cars or the sports fan who has to know everything about every game his favourite team has ever played.
shiiii...in hind sight your probably right. Those sort of people generally are single.
To be honest, I suspect this is set up in an IT office or pc store somewhere rather than a private home made rig. Anyone who builds PCs (yes..I do) will know why I`m saying that.
Games have less blur, which is why you usually need a higher FPS. It also depends on your monitor type, the crisper the monitor, the higher FPS you need to simulate fluidity.
Basically: 45 in this case is probably going to give him very little flicker.
... me want
I`m legally blind (0% Right, 7% Left) and my monitor *IS* one wall of the lounge with a projector. Although modern projectors had fixed the old contrast issues, they are still expensive in terms of lamp hours and replacement, and noisy because of the extreme cooling needed. This guy`s rig is MUCH better I suspect.
I stand by shopped though - 24 monitors would require 12 high end dual output video cards, all crosswired to act as one.
No its 15 FPS. This is obvious. When you have multiple monitors no part of the screen is lost. Part of the 1 is on the other screen.
Anyway, this doesn`t impress me one bit... Everything about it is wrong.
First off, its running Quake, a game in which reflexes and timing are everything at an abysmal frame rate. I don`t play Quake but 15FPS is considered unplayable. Not to mention the fact that you have to turn your head through a 180 deg. arc to see everything. You also have the bezels that break up the picture.
But what makes this suck the most is the fact that whoever made this had one hell of a budget, and that budget could have been used to make something far more awesome.
no i think its 15 - normal tv is only 25-30 and the gap wouldn`t be a void as the monitors would be configured to show certain parts of the screen which wouldn`t have gaps (if that makes sense - i know what i mean)
i-a-b-er: "pshh, only 15 fps! he must not not anything about computers!"
There are more reasonable options though. lol
This is the epitome of cool. The owner is the antithesis of cool.
That`s what I thought what a sad waste of time and money 15 FPS on that game means this rig needs some serious upgrades.
