The worst part is that I`m not sure I would mind Google taking over the world... When you cease to worry, you know they have you.

No. Too many people (including myself) hate Apple already.

I wanna see this but with Disney. Including all products etc etc. I bet its even bigger @[email protected] I`v always had the nagging paranoia in the back of my head that either Disney or Google (and as of late maybe even Apple) would take over the world eventually.:P
No its not, all they have to do is block searches for `democracy`, `freedom`, etc and people will soon get used to living without them.
I didn`t think of that, but then again, remember when google blocked searches for "islam is..."? People complained and they put it back. Google is dependent on its users, and if there is an uprising of `you`ve gone too far google`, they`ll switch over to bing & the other engines.

The most they can hope for is continued dominance of web searching and video streaming, hardly `talking over the world`, although it might seem that way to some...

yahoo users would care, but they aren`t real people so their opinions don`t matter.

No its not, all they have to do is block searches for `democracy`, `freedom`, etc and people will soon get used to living without them. Haven`t you heard the old adage, "Knowledge is power"?

That`s economically and politically impossible.

Anyway... I`m glad I have ADBlock Plus, otherwise that advertising revenue figure would make me sick.

"i bet that google will rule the world someday."

funny that you say this. i often tell my girlfriend that google should just claim ownage of the world already. nobody would care, and they would do a damn good job at it. (okay, yahoo users would care, but they aren`t real people so their opinions don`t matter.)

They missed out the most significant fact that occurred recently that shows the Google has way too much information on all of us. Google`s recent potential partnership with the NSA. Google claims that it will not give our information away to the government. But who really expects the vast quantity of information Google has on US citizens to be untouched by the government? Hate to sound paranoid but I stopped using Chrome once I heard this.
Also while Google claims all info they collect on you (from Youtube, search history, e-mail driven ads...) is used in non-identified means, it is a simple process to identify it again.

Well said topper. We`ve used IE for years and never had a problem. People who have problems should try getting a firewall (we have McAffee)

I`m using Chrome. Pretty happy so far. IE seems to have a great big warm fuzzy "WELCOME" mat set out for viruses. "Welcome to Duffy`s computer! Come right in! Feel free to take a dump in the sys32 folder, or whatever you want to do."

Chrome`s good, but I personally prefer Opera. Though either one is better than Firefox or IE, in my opinion.
