"The one with the bridge that still has a section standing. Man it would suck to be stuck on that."\

i think it would suck more to be on the part that plummeted 100 feet into the ground

"Remember that doorways are safe spots during an earthquake guys."
Somehow I don`t think doorways would be safe during an earthquake of that magnitude.
It`s very unfortunate that another one happened, I`m just glad there weren`t as many casualties as there were in Haiti.
:(

f-you boston.com for censoring the pictures of dead people. I consider that an attempt to minimize the damage caused by this disaster.

Your ignorance is entertaining.

tedgp, you`re a retard. The reason it happened is because of tectonic plates shifting (Just look at the mountain region in Chile that shows this), not because of humans involvement with hurting the environment.

Im getting worried. i live like 90 steps away from the ocean and Vancouver is right on a fault line. we have 1200 very small earthquakes every year that we dont even feel.

/me hides under a desk

Ugh, that earthquake caused alot of Tsunamis, one hit Washingtons coast line, lucky it didn`t go through the bowl, other wise the place where I live would be flooded.

I`m so grateful to live in a place where earthquakes don`t strike. I can`t even imagine what they`re going through right now.

" is sad that we can`t do anything to prevent this catastrophes." Actually you can by not living along a fault line or subduction zone.

Chile was overdue for their next big one. San Fransisco and Victoria in BC are the likely candidates for the next big one.

i know that mostly of us wish that this horrible things never happen, is sad that we can`t do anything to prevent this catastrophes as nature truly is unstoppable. All we can do is try to know the basics to act right in one of this situations

Just terrible...my thoughts are with those poor souls.

It`s very eerie, two earthquakes so massive and within so short a time frame from each other.

Remember that doorways are safe spots during an earthquake guys.
