ps: eldavo has too much time on his hands
Ollie: The health care system in Sweden is entirely funded by the government and it works better than almost every health care system in the world, including our own. Of course, you forgot that because it would be proof that you`re wrong
When you insult a group, you insult every member of that group. When you insult people who support the Tea Party movement by calling them "teabaggers," you are insulting every single person who supports the concept of individual liberty and limited constitutional government. It the same as calling black people n***ers; it`s an insult to every single black person.
If you do that, or if you defend it, don`t whine about being flamed for it.
So who`s going to provide this coverage, the fapping Tooth Fairy?" Your thoughts are so muddled and self-contradictory, it`s difficult to know where to start with a logical argument. Are you trying to say a complete nationalization of 1/6 of the economy isn`t a "liberal idea?"
Let me ask you, if we go to this "universal health care" system you advocate, where will the Canadians go to keep from dying on a waiting list? Do you think we can adopt the same system they have and not get the same results? Or do you believe that the only reason universal health care has been such a dismal failure everywhere in the world that it`s been tried is that there has never been anyone as smart as you put in charge of it? That, my friends, is the true essence of liberalism: arrogance.
An independent is just a liberal without the courage of his convictions.
However, to the real point of what you said. GJ related this IAB post to something in real life. If even talking about the teabag movement is an insult because they`re so embarrassed by the relation to "teabagging", I`m sorry I truly didn`t realize.
If you disagree with this please explain why. Not in a "because you`re stupid" kind of way, as you seem to tend toward, but in a "because <logical reason>" kind of way.
2: I can`t explain why that`s wrong without going over the character limit here.
3: Believing in everything means I can see a solution working no matter which side it comes from. I don`t automatically think ideas are bad if they come from Republicans and I don`t think they`re good if they come from Democrats. It`s your own problem if you think I don`t believe in anything, but I call seeing options from both sides as legitimate being open-minded.
I say, "Welcome to the club! I`ve been a libertarian since 1976."
I never said I was a Christian. I just don`t hate them. This is a perfect example of liberal logic: I hate Christians, I hate Ollie, therefore, Ollie is Christian.
"I go left and support universal health care because of the benefit to Americans, but I go right and oppose this public option crap because of the burden it puts on taxpayers."
You completely contradicted yourself in one sentence! You cannot have universal health care without a public option. Universal health care IS government (public) health care. Wherever it is tried, taxes go up, waiting times go up, quality goes down, and rationing is inevitable.
"Don`t ever say I don`t believe in anything because you`re mistaken my belief in everything."
That explains how you can hold two completely contradictory positions at the same time.
All your name calling and defending of an asshats troll post hasn`t made you look intelligent, but rather an ape that figured out how to post on the internet.
Though maybe you didn`t actually read the post, or you`re so convinced in your political and/or anti-religious views that you must automatically agree with and defend anyone that shares the same views, regardless of blatant poo-tossing.
In closing, you`re a very unintelligent and overall ignorant man that gets a hard-on trying to sound smart on the internet, despite failing. Miserably.
kikayoaka: Flying in from left field doesn`t equate to starting an argument or "poo-tossing". Ollie saw it that way because, like I said, he`s an ignorant drat. He gets off on partisanship because his degenerate brain can`t function on its own.
An example: I go left and support universal health care because of the benefit to Americans, but I go right and oppose this public option crap because of the burden it puts on taxpayers. That`s an exercise of my ability to think on my own behalf for the good of the nation as a whole. I don`t identify with a political party because to them, the greater good takes a back seat to their own selfish ends.
Don`t ever say I don`t believe in anything because you`re mistaken my belief in everything.
If you want examples of liberal insults, smears, slander, and circle-jerking, just read the left-wing blogs. Might I suggest the Huffington Post, The Daily Kos, Democrats.com, or the Democrat Underground. Or you might try the scintillating stars of BSDNC evening lineup: Ed Shultz, Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman; and Rachael Maddow -- no one to break the circle there.
So knowing that you complained about "liberals" having a big circle jerk to congratulate each others` brilliance and incisiveness and then your own side did just that, why don`t you shut the drat up while you`re behind?
Ollie, come come now. These "brilliant and incisive" comments which you`re lauding from twitcy and 5cats (while insulting others ability at basic reading comprehension) was thus:
Twitchy: "*cheers on OldOllie*"
5Cats: "What do we expect? ElDavo and goaliejerry both belong to the JACK*SS party! Of course they make jack*sses of themselves every time they post. Go Ollie Go!"
Now the first is pure vanilla. The second is frankly infantile (They both belong to the JACK*SS party!). Frankly, that`s something my 3-year old daughter would say in kindergarten. In fact, no, she`s moved beyond that now. Hardly what I would qualify as "brilliant and incisive", more like cheerleaders. Now, about that "circle-jerk" of yours...
That quote of mine would be more of an example of me throwing GJ`s poo back at him. And while that wasn`t exactly brilliant -- at least not by my own standards -- you have to admit it was pretty damned funny and, by the way, original.
The part where they actually WERE brilliant and incisive and not just flinging their poo at the other side.
Hold the phone, I`m a leftist atheist, and I`m not slandering anyone...
Teabaggers apparently have the right to stage a pouting party whenever and wherever they wish.
I happen to support the Tea Party movement, and I get sick and tired of impudent little turds like goaliejerry flinging their poo at me. This little salad tosser couldn`t argue himself out of taking blame for a fart at an all-you-can-eat bean supper. All he can do is insult, slander, and lie. If he doesn`t like having it thrown back in his face, he ought to stop being the first to throw it.
Good luck with that.
"HALP! HALP! My dick`s on fire!!!"
It was the left wing hatemongers at MSNBC who first used the vulgar sexual reference "teabaggers" to insult and denigrate the people with whom they disagreed. This is what passes for substantive debate on the left these days. They can`t win the debate of ideas, so they insult, smear, and slander their opponents. Then they go have a big circle jerk to congratulate each other for their brilliance and incisiveness.
And then they wonder why they can`t capture the youth vote....out of touch.
Its like the right wing "teabagger" movement - they chose to call themselves the tea-party, and use tea-bags for symbolism, because these sheltered people have no sense of humor and probably had no idea how easily it is to make fun of someone who calls him or herself a "teabagger." Also, it shows that the teabaggers are run by boring old people, because anyone under 30 would have recognized what a bad idea teabagging is.
