I`m sure you won`t read this, but I felt compelled to say something. I feel like I stated what I meant pretty clearly, you just misinterpreted it. But that`s really beside the point. I can`t leave my house because of the huge blizzard on the east coast. This argument has taken up a fair amount of my time, so thanks for staying with it this long, Ollie.

ElDavo, arguing with you is like trying to nail Jello to the wall. You can`s say what you mean, and you don`t mean what you say. I give up. Have a good life, and remember, voting isn`t cool.

And finally: Liberals agree with liberals on every issue. I agree with liberals only on some issues. Liberals disagree with conservatives on every issue. I do agree with conservatives on some issues. How in the hell does that make me a liberal? You keep trying to lump me in with liberals because I have no convictions, but if that were true, why would I keep coming back to argue with you? I think the real reason is that it stems from your own ignorance (surprise!). I`m not with you HERE, so I must be against you EVERYWHERE. I`m not saying only Republicans do that, it`s an issue that plagues both sides of the aisle. I`m an independent because I know when good ideas are good, whether they`re right or left. That doesn`t make me a liberal, it makes me a logical thinker. The "courage of my convictions" comes in resisting the urge to lean one way or the other on every issue without thinking first. Unlike you, I know neither side is right all the time.

Part 3: GJ said the members of the teabag movement are sheltered. Yes, that`s an insult. He said they wouldn`t have pick the teabag as a symbol if they were in touch with the common people and knew what "teabagging" was. He didn`t say the teabag was a bad symbol of freedom or civil disobedience or whatever. You thought he did instead of reading his actual post and then defended the symbol against attacks that weren`t made. The argument was started when you began yelling about liberals and insults and slanders and circle jerks and whatever. Then you tried to blame GJ for starting it. He said something that was true and you didn`t even try to deny it. How COULD he have started the argument? I wouldn`t have said anything but when theos ask to "chill on the political rants" you blamed GJ for everything. I`m just tired of people trying to blame their way out of responsibility for everything. It happens on both sides, and I`m only defending GJ because you did it this time

As for thinking I said the public option wasn`t a liberal idea, get your head out of your ass. I said both the public option and universal health care were liberal ideas. I go left by supporting one and I go right by opposing the other. You`re busy convincing yourself that everyone against you on one issue is a "liberal" and is against you on every issue for some reason. I AGREED with you on the public option and then you argued with me about it because you`re an idiot.

I`m keeping these posts short instead of fumbling with character limits.

Ollie: The health care system in Sweden is entirely funded by the government and it works better than almost every health care system in the world, including our own. Of course, you forgot that because it would be proof that you`re wrong

ElDavo "If even talking about the teabag movement is an insult because they`re so embarrassed by the relation to "teabagging", I`m sorry I truly didn`t realize."

When you insult a group, you insult every member of that group. When you insult people who support the Tea Party movement by calling them "teabaggers," you are insulting every single person who supports the concept of individual liberty and limited constitutional government. It the same as calling black people n***ers; it`s an insult to every single black person.

If you do that, or if you defend it, don`t whine about being flamed for it.

ElDavo "The public option provides coverage to people who aren`t covered by state or employer plans."

So who`s going to provide this coverage, the fapping Tooth Fairy?" Your thoughts are so muddled and self-contradictory, it`s difficult to know where to start with a logical argument. Are you trying to say a complete nationalization of 1/6 of the economy isn`t a "liberal idea?"

Let me ask you, if we go to this "universal health care" system you advocate, where will the Canadians go to keep from dying on a waiting list? Do you think we can adopt the same system they have and not get the same results? Or do you believe that the only reason universal health care has been such a dismal failure everywhere in the world that it`s been tried is that there has never been anyone as smart as you put in charge of it? That, my friends, is the true essence of liberalism: arrogance.

An independent is just a liberal without the courage of his convictions.

kika: Your one post contains more insults than all of mine on this board combined (excepting the last one where I gave up on reasoning and took Ollie`s approach), but that`s fine. You just forgot that not EVERYBODY on the internet is too retarded to go back and check your facts. It`s not your fault, really.

However, to the real point of what you said. GJ related this IAB post to something in real life. If even talking about the teabag movement is an insult because they`re so embarrassed by the relation to "teabagging", I`m sorry I truly didn`t realize.

If you disagree with this please explain why. Not in a "because you`re stupid" kind of way, as you seem to tend toward, but in a "because <logical reason>" kind of way.

Ok, point #2: The public option provides coverage to people who aren`t covered by state or employer plans. All I`m saying is that offering competition to health care companies won`t solve the problem or their corruption, and while the Democrats claim it would run solely on premiums, you and I both know it won`t work that way. The American taxpayer will be forced to make ends meet on this plan because it`ll try to stay competitive with health care companies but the only people using it are doing so because they`ve been denied coverage by companies due to huge medical bills or pre-existing conditions. Universal health care, on the other hand, means that the government would cover everybody. No independent plans, just what the government offers. Collect a tax and use it to pay everyone`s medical bills. See, average each American will pay is lower because the government isn`t trying to make a profit off this plan. Plus, government standardization is better than private standardization.

Ollie:
1: Ok, I did assume this. You assumed I was liberal, I assumed you were Christian. What remains amazing is that in refuting my assumption, you insulted liberals again in the hopes of insulting me. I already told you I`m independent, and you even acknowledged it.

2: I can`t explain why that`s wrong without going over the character limit here.

3: Believing in everything means I can see a solution working no matter which side it comes from. I don`t automatically think ideas are bad if they come from Republicans and I don`t think they`re good if they come from Democrats. It`s your own problem if you think I don`t believe in anything, but I call seeing options from both sides as legitimate being open-minded.

ElDavo "I suppose you wouldn`t understand defining your morality, being that you`re a Christian sheep and your morals are defined by an out-of-date book."

I never said I was a Christian. I just don`t hate them. This is a perfect example of liberal logic: I hate Christians, I hate Ollie, therefore, Ollie is Christian.

"I go left and support universal health care because of the benefit to Americans, but I go right and oppose this public option crap because of the burden it puts on taxpayers."

You completely contradicted yourself in one sentence! You cannot have universal health care without a public option. Universal health care IS government (public) health care. Wherever it is tried, taxes go up, waiting times go up, quality goes down, and rationing is inevitable.

"Don`t ever say I don`t believe in anything because you`re mistaken my belief in everything."

That explains how you can hold two completely contradictory positions at the same time.

Nope ElDavo I`m pretty sure the whole point of jerry`s post was "LOOK AT ME I`M STARTING AN ARGUMENT ON THE INTERNET". If you think otherwise then, your intelligence is certainly up for debate. I mean you argue ignorance on Ollie`s part when Jerry`s post was basically ignorance incarnate, all of your posts coming in close second.

All your name calling and defending of an asshats troll post hasn`t made you look intelligent, but rather an ape that figured out how to post on the internet.

Though maybe you didn`t actually read the post, or you`re so convinced in your political and/or anti-religious views that you must automatically agree with and defend anyone that shares the same views, regardless of blatant poo-tossing.

In closing, you`re a very unintelligent and overall ignorant man that gets a hard-on trying to sound smart on the internet, despite failing. Miserably.

Good day.

angus: Glad I could help. It alleviates my boredom to argue circles around ignorant drats on the internet.

kikayoaka: Flying in from left field doesn`t equate to starting an argument or "poo-tossing". Ollie saw it that way because, like I said, he`s an ignorant drat. He gets off on partisanship because his degenerate brain can`t function on its own.

Ollie: Mindlessly following a political party isn`t a conviction, it`s a deception. You`ve fooled yourself into thinking you stand for something because it`s easier than making your own decisions. I suppose you wouldn`t understand defining your morality, being that you`re a Christian sheep and your morals are defined by an out-of-date book, but I do. My principles lie in the belief that whatever is the best for the most people at the least cost to the fewest people is the right choice.

An example: I go left and support universal health care because of the benefit to Americans, but I go right and oppose this public option crap because of the burden it puts on taxpayers. That`s an exercise of my ability to think on my own behalf for the good of the nation as a whole. I don`t identify with a political party because to them, the greater good takes a back seat to their own selfish ends.

Don`t ever say I don`t believe in anything because you`re mistaken my belief in everything.

I`m independent and in the middle, but go ahead and attempt insults based solely on fictional political affiliations if you think it makes your e-penis look bigger. Your hate-filled rant containing exclusively insults just serves to make you seem even more like a jackass than before to all the people reading this that aren`t as thick-skulled and ignorant as you.
Look, you said poo about GJ for starting an argument, and I called you out because he didn`t say anything inflammatory. You accused GJ of "poo-tossing" and liberals of having circle jerks over what they thought were brilliant and incisive remarks, and then you proceeded to do just those things. I called you out on that, too. Now you`re gonna act like you were just joking because you know I`m right? I get it, Republicans are scared of anybody using logic, but don`t act like I`m stupid for telling you you`re wrong and then proving it.

My compliment to twitchy`s and 5cat`s comments was because they agreed with me, and anyone who agrees with me is obviously "brilliant and incisive." That was intended as a small joke. I should have taken into account the characteristic humor impairment brought on by liberalism. My apologies. Next time I`ll hit you over the head with a smiley emoticon. You know the one: it says, "Hey, I know your too stupid to get this joke, so I`m going to put this little smiley face here to tell you it`s a joke, even if it diminishes the humorous effect for those who were smart enough to get the joke without it. :->

If you want examples of liberal insults, smears, slander, and circle-jerking, just read the left-wing blogs. Might I suggest the Huffington Post, The Daily Kos, Democrats.com, or the Democrat Underground. Or you might try the scintillating stars of BSDNC evening lineup: Ed Shultz, Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman; and Rachael Maddow -- no one to break the circle there.

Ollie: The circle jerk was congratulating YOU. Go back and read what they said if you don`t believe me. Now, if they`re congratulating you, that means the "big circle jerk" was over YOUR (supposed) brilliance and incisiveness. I wasn`t saying YOU said your comment was brilliant or incisive, I was saying THEY said that. It`s all right there, but go ahead, toss all the insults you want about my ability to read.

So knowing that you complained about "liberals" having a big circle jerk to congratulate each others` brilliance and incisiveness and then your own side did just that, why don`t you shut the drat up while you`re behind?
ElDavo, you really haven`t quite gotten the knack of this reading thing, have you? I didn`t say that particular comment of mine was brilliant and incisive. I was complimenting twitchy and 5cat.
Ollie, come come now. These "brilliant and incisive" comments which you`re lauding from twitcy and 5cats (while insulting others ability at basic reading comprehension) was thus:

-

Twitchy: "*cheers on OldOllie*"

5Cats: "What do we expect? ElDavo and goaliejerry both belong to the JACK*SS party! Of course they make jack*sses of themselves every time they post. Go Ollie Go!"

-

Now the first is pure vanilla. The second is frankly infantile (They both belong to the JACK*SS party!). Frankly, that`s something my 3-year old daughter would say in kindergarten. In fact, no, she`s moved beyond that now. Hardly what I would qualify as "brilliant and incisive", more like cheerleaders. Now, about that "circle-jerk" of yours...

Ollie: I read that. He compared the makers of these candles to the teabaggers. Much the way these candles seem dirtier to us than they were intended by their creators, it wasn`t hard for people to name the members of that movement "teabaggers", despite the fact that the teabags weren`t intended to have a sexual implication. To me, that`s a damn good comparison. You WANTED to see it as an attack against the teabag movement so you did and went apepoo in response. That`s you starting it. Like I said, don`t be an ass.

goaliejerry, the Tea Party movement was named by its founders and participants in honor of the Boston Tea Party -- one of the seminal events of the American Revolution in which we protested unfair taxes through civil disobedience. It has always been considered a proud moment in our history, and the Tea Party protesters are proud to be associated with it.

It was the left wing hatemongers at MSNBC who first used the vulgar sexual reference "teabaggers" to insult and denigrate the people with whom they disagreed. This is what passes for substantive debate on the left these days. They can`t win the debate of ideas, so they insult, smear, and slander their opponents. Then they go have a big circle jerk to congratulate each other for their brilliance and incisiveness.

And then they wonder why they can`t capture the youth vote....out of touch.

When I see stuff like this, first I laugh, then I feel a little sad at the sheltered person who made these - probably a perfectly nice christian who doesn`t have a dirty mind because they lead a pure and boring life. A nice person doesn`t see that their figurine looks like a child holding his wang.

Its like the right wing "teabagger" movement - they chose to call themselves the tea-party, and use tea-bags for symbolism, because these sheltered people have no sense of humor and probably had no idea how easily it is to make fun of someone who calls him or herself a "teabagger."
Also, it shows that the teabaggers are run by boring old people, because anyone under 30 would have recognized what a bad idea teabagging is.
