Gay to Straight conversion is controversial, But it doesn`t `cause` psychosis. Sometimes there is an underlying psychosis that is revealed, But that`s not exclusive to this sort of mental therapy. All mental treatment has risks.

Scientific evidence shows that sexual orientation is physiologically determined. Some people are heterosexual, some are homosexual, and some are bisexual, and no human or demonic intervention can alter this. Of those that are physiologically bisexual, many have sexual preferences for one gender or another. So-called "gay conversion" therapies use psychological techniques to modify these preferences. When used on bisexuals, such treatments can successfully convert a person from "gay" to "straight." When used on true homosexuals, the treatment fails to achieve the desired result, and almost always causes mental illness of some form. Because it is different to tell gay-leaning bisexuals from true homosexuals, such treatments are ill-advis
I don`t know about `exorcism` per se, But there are ministries and Christian rehabs that have been successful in conversion from gay to straight.
