Good. Now the guy who stitched his eyes will probably walk into the street and get hit by a bus, and the girl can no longer voice her stupid opinion.

@appleblue: the piercing can obiously heal and they person will permanently have the rings in their back but as aesthetically pleasing as they are they aren`t very functional, constantly being snagged by clothes or being irritated by chairs and things. people usually get them with the knowledge that they will have to be taken out sooner rather than later

As a general rule, nope, they use captive bead rings and are taken out afew weeks later. I have seen them done with surface bars and remain in for months to afew years though. However, they migrate.

I`m not a body modder my any means (hell, I only have my ears pierced) But I do find it interesting.

usually i understand this, i have a few different piercings and apreciate individuality, but i dont see the direct point in this if its just a mod because it wont last a day and the look/pain ratio for that short time cant be worth it for the scars it could leave behind (unless thats the point).
yeah if its a protest or something it makes it a bit more understandable

I am literally stunned into silence. One retard volunteered to never eat again, one retard volunteered to never see again. I guess there`s an inherent, deep meesage being sent there, but in the meantime, I`m looking at the burger with my eyes which I will imminently eat.

Seriously, guys, who are you trying to impress? Cause whoever it is, it ain`t working...

well corset piercing on the back are usually short-lived pleasure piercings, only meant as temporary decoration. maybe the stitches are the same only over an extremely short amount of time. art as art is art, eh? oh and a polite "screw you" to joolin. i love my job piercing.

when i see ever more extreme body modding...i think of oneupmanship, weather it be bigger tatoos, scarification, bigger ear and nose plugs etc...then i think of vanity, all of us being `guilty` of that to some degree or another...there is a very good reason why it is practiced mostly by the youth, generally in theyre 20`s. I feel like theyre always searching for `themselves`...im no quack or doctor, its just the way i felt when i was in my early 20`s...now 20 yrs later i could care less what people think of me but back then i did care what was thought of me...so by body modding you stand out from the crowd somewhat...but with ever more people taking this path i cant help thinking of it like a craze therefore more extreme modding in needed...upping the stakes as it were...i say good luck to them but just like tatoo removal surgery is now a huge business so to will surgery to correct unfortunate mods later on...live for the moment though, you ARE only young once...

I`ve been saying this for some time, but I just don`t believe a person can do this without having some sort of serious undiagnosed mental disorder. We are talking about mutilation of the face. The face - the very thing other humans FIRST see....if you chose to purposefully mutilate your face, there is something happening in your brain that is not balanced.

---

The biggest problem with this idea is that there is no "normal" brain. Everyone has different ideas and thoughts. Just like how mine are different from yours.

Just like GothPirate said, at our school we all make shirts that say, "Day of Silence," and when you have several hundred people going silent all at once, it really does make an impact - especially at the Breaking the Silence events afterwards.

Vitality, you`re wrong. When hundreds of people all at once just...stop talking? People notice. Also, you seem to have recognized that it was a form of protest, so its obviously attention-getting...You`re looking at it superficially. It is meant as symbolization. Also, this is very often accompanied by clothing or colors tp represent the cause. We all wore blue for ours. It more than drew attention.

If I superglue my cheek to a window in my apartment, is that a new trend in interior design?

Ohhh! I feel wise now with my questions, wise and funny. Mmmm

i really do`t get this. i mean, if you want to get that extreme, (now that tattoos and peircings are so mainstream), branding is so much prettier and it doesn`t inhibit facial expression. i mean, stitches don`t even look that good.
