Misa Digital Guitar: The New Guitar Hero [Vid]

We have a very good feeling that this digital guitar could take over the Guitar Hero guitar in popularity very soon.

That sounds pretty sweet. It won`t take over guitar hero, because with this you can actually make music.

@paddyt07: nah, he uses a Z-tar. Pretty different, just looks the same.

I swear the guy from Pendulum uses something similar?
Also, I doubt it will take over the popularity of GH as this clearly takes a little bit more skill than getting 5 buttons in time.

Sounds a little 8 bit to my ear - anyone else?
Pretty cool though, drum pad guitar combo thing.

This is a synthethizer, not a toy nor a "real guitar"

Reminds me of Muse`s Matt Bellamy`s Kaoss Pad.

It`s a neat way to control synths
and you`d think they would choose a better sound for the demo, because this sounds like a pooty metal song played through a commodore 64

Yeah, I never understood why people like Guitar Hero. This thing is pretty cool, like a real instrument.

Also, I looked on the desc on the guitars actual page. The cracks on there are intentional (the touch pad controls the filter, distortion, etc.) Consequentially, there are more distortion settings other than the "holy balls" level shown here. There are options for a cleaner-cut tone, but a crunchier one was chosen for this particular song (and I, for one, personally agree with the choice.)

To everyone who thinks differently, this is NOT a spinoff of Guitar Hero, and this is NOT a guitar. It is effectively a bridge. It is not so closed as GH that you are limited to 5 buttons and a "strumming lever," and it is not as open as a guitar that you can create virtually any type of sound you desire (with the proper equipment.)

I agree with Catx. I had the option to buy a Guitar Hero gameset, but I decided to use that money to buy myself a crappy beginner`s bass. I`ve been playing for barely over a year by now, with no teacher and barely any time to practice, and I can play very decently quite a few not-so-easy tunes.
Really, if you like music so much don`t fool yourself with some toys and learn the real damn thing.

I`ll stay with my vintage Kramer Focus 6000, thanks...

i dont think that it will over come guitar hero because you need to know how to play the real guitar before you can play that. you need to know how to actually hold the guitar correctly and play the right chords to play that piece of poo.

Still lame. You like rock so much? Learn to play a real guitar. Stop playing with toys.

Yes, the sound quality is crappy, we get it. I for one still want one of these despite the apparent lack of distortion settings below "Holy poo Balls".
