This is done using using `expressions` in After Effects to not only track the shaky movement of the hand held camera compared to the 3d subject, but also link the rotation of the box with a 3d model.

*Starts to cry* That`s the most godly think I have seen done with Lego. Sorry, theses aren`t tears of joy, but instead my eyes are burning from the pure beams of awesome projecting from my computer screen, and eye damaging light.

actually, the majority of the "computer animation" in Tron was hand-drawn to look like computer generated graphics. one of the few really computer generated parts was "bit" the pet... thing. small, yellowish, said yes and no. anyways, that darned film nearly bankrupted disney.... *points to self* Tron Nerd. *shrugs*

I would find these things so much cooler if they didn`t give a drating name like "AUGMENTED.... RRREEEALLIITTYYYYY!!!!!!" to basically 3d graphics and a drating camera. Whoopty doo! Tron had the same technology.

I hate it when people say LEGOs. It has never been LEGOs, only LEGO.
Because you often buy Lego kits not knowing what you`re going to get in the end? I don`t believe they have "surprise" Lego kits.
Shouldn`t there be a picture of whatever it is on the box?

Oh, I`ve seen these before. It was a windmill or something on a piece of paper promoting green energy.

"I don`t get why you really need that though. It is cool though."

I was just thinking the same thing. I mean the picture on the box is enough for me to buy the product.

It just makes you more disappointed when it doesn`t turn out like the virtual reality t.v. screen.

Augmented Reality rocks so hard. The Star Trek one was similarly brilliant, I printed that one out and tried it at home. Mind = Blown.
