Is this latest installment of Halo going to be worth all the money and time spent away from civilization? Opinions?

I liked Halo:ODST, but it was a generic shooter in the halo universe. Even as someone is up bungie`s ass (i actually bought Halo Wars), ODST was lame but def worth renting (if you like halo you`ve already bought it)

ODST was just them cranking out another game for money, HALO itself is just a generic shooter designed to be played by everyone(mostly kids it seems going by XBOX live). I haven`t enjoyed HALO much since the first one, It just doesn`t really change from game to game.

Piepig: No worries. I do that too sometimes.

(Psst, guys, the more you click around the articles I`ve done, the more hits I rack up, and the more hits = more monies. Pennies, but still! Help a mod out! :D )

I am proud to say i waited til midnight at Gamestop for this game. And I will do the same with Halo: Reach.
-.-

And it was a good review, but isn`t it kinda late for a halo 3: odst review? It came out in 2008. i think...

"That was a decent review. But how can I compare a game to other games without some sort of arbitrary rating or score?"

Could you be a bit more specific? What do you think I should add in order to help you?

"You`re late."

Working with what I got. Until I can get a major company to hurl preview/review copies my way, I`m stuck with what`s affordable and available.

So... you pick possibly the 3 easiest, repetitive, childish games as the only worthy ones, and condemn everything else? Can it be that normal games are just too complicated for you?

Nothing new in this. I ask you to cast your mind back to the ORIGINAL Halo and the stunt MS pulled with that... gamers were slavering at the bit over it for 3 YEARS, blogging and rumoring worse than Apple Fanboys, then FINALLY it is announced for next month, then MS scraps every platform`s version except the newly-released XBox, and uses the 3-year buildup to make people buy XBoxes.

"odst is an awesome example of lazy ass xbox developers releasing an old game under a new name in an attempt to make some quick cash i also like how they make games that are about 7 or 8 hours to play yet charge 70 for them and start pounding out addons a week later at 10 bucks a pop if they made a complete game to begin with those add ons would be included in the ridiculous price.... damnit can`t wait till i get my ps3 drating microsoft greed"
1.) ODST did not have DLC
2.) ODST was taken into a different to try out something in the Halo universe.
3.) Don`t buy the game if you don`t want it.
4.) I agree about how studios are spewing out DLC, but sometimes they want to add stuff several months later that they could not fit into their time frames and Microsoft are poes for charging for stuff studios want to give out for free.

Also, isn`t ODST like old for the gaming world? Why is this just being posted now?

no offense but this isn`t really the latest, most people have forgotten about ODST and are now hyped about Reach

I`m not an FPS-type person, more of an RTS or RPG.

Also, this seems like an unusual post for IAB, but whatever...
